We had the kitchen sink pizza, super good, fresh ingredients. And you can’t beat a $ 10 pitcher!

Okay service. Waitress I had was Amy. She rarely checked in to ask if everything was going good. Food was good. I ordered the spaghetti. The meatballs in the spaghetti weren’t to good. And obviously the garlic bread is frozen store bought garlic bread. The garden salad I ordered with my dinner I was not impressed with. The spaghetti came with 2 garlic bread and a soup or salad. The couple just across from me sat awhile waiting for the same waitress I had. Clearly it states on my cc to check for id and I was let down. They did not check my id. Glad that if someone steals another persons are and comes here they can have a pig out! Wasn’t too impressed this time. Would love to give it a better rating.

SUCH a cute little place. Located in busy Walker MN, this place is filled to the brim with local vibes. We came at lunch and were seated right away. The waitress was vey accommodating to us and our party of 6, that grew to an 8. We placed our order of one large pepperoni pizza and a few drinks + kids meals. The food was delivered quickly and piping hot. The pizza was SO good! I like that they cut them in squares for larger groups. Makes it much easier. Our waitress was very attentive and pretty friendly. We paid and went the the adjoining ice cream shop for our desserts. We all ordered different flavors and there were a lot to choose from. Honesty moment: I can’t remember the exact name of what I got. Chocolate + salted caramel + chocolate candies + YUM = satisfied. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the ice cream. We went outside as 8 people seems to clog the flow a bit. Definitely stop in and enjoy this cute little place!

Had award winning Mediterranean Turkey burger and it was fantastic. Also home of second place burger from this year. So if you’re in the area looking for a good burger this place is worth checking out.

Second time here. First time, I had a salad and wasn’t too pleased. Some bad lettuce. Next visit, had the burrito with chicken(I don’t eat beef). Well instead of seasoned chicken in a burrito, it was plain boiled chicken that tasted gross. All fixings were on side and is had just a few tortilla chips. Some of those tasted stale. Next time, maybe they could season chicken? Heard the margarita pizza was good though and the ice cream was tasty.

We weren’t happy, to be honest. My walleye sandwich was excellent, but my wife’s BLT(which the menu stated had«crisp» bacon) featured, in fact, raw bacon. Not undercooked – raw. Someone in the kitchen was really not paying attention. My daughter’s chicken alfreddo was so watery we had to drain it. Not impressed at all.

Walker has certainly changed since when I used to come here as a kid. Lattes and chai in Walker? Yes! Burgers were ok, and the walleye sandwich was good(though someone burst my bubble when they claimed it was frozen.) Very friendly service.

Walleye sandwich was good as well as the broccoli cheese soup. The french fries were horrible, made of the cheapest cut of krinkle cuts you can buy(all ends and pieces). Service from the kitchen was verrrrry slow. No paper towels in the women’s restroom.

The food and service was great! My hubby hadn’t been here for 20 years and while on a family vacation we stopped in. It’s the same as he remembered and I thought it was great!

We visit the Village Square at least a few times each time we’re in Walker. We love to get ice cream and then go watch the sunset over the lake. The selection and price can’t be beat. We just tried the pizza for the first time, and it is a little bland. Just needed some seasoning. It wasn’t bad, just not great.

Although this place does not appear as a local coffee option, Village Square Coffee and IceCream-inside the Pizza place offers a vastly superior espresso than that of the top local espresso establishment…

Walking around in downtown Walker at the beginning of our fishing vacation, we came across an inviting patio and the urge to grub. Upon walking inside, we were greeted immediately, sat at a window table(as requested, because it was a bit windy outside) and ordered a few drinks. It took about 10m to get our drinks but our waitress was swamped; the rest of the service was quick and efficient. I had really been craving some walleye but was eye-ing the chicken caesar wrap. I asked if I could have the wrap with walleye instead of chicken; not only was this request granted but it was by far my most favorite meal outside of our«home away from home» throughout the week! I enjoyed this meal with tomato basil soup, which was creamy, perfectly seasoned and obviously made from scratch. Everyone else in my group enjoyed their meals, which included the gyro plate, a hamburger and a pizza. I would definitely return to Village Square upon returning to Walker!

No trip to Walker is complete without a visit to the Square. My travels north to see family typically fall in the wintertime, so I’ve not yet tried the ice cream. However, the ‘za served here is good enough to win me over all on its own. It’s the man’s side of the family that takes us to Walker each year, and Hubs tells me that not much has changed about the Square since he was a kid: Same delicious crust, same high-school wait staff, same décor, … everything – including the Kitchen Sink – is as it was in the mid-nineties. I appreciate the need for nostalgia, and I’m happy to say that this place makes even me long for the days when most pizza joints were family-owned and operated. True to form, the pizza side of the Square is parlor-like, complete with brick walls, dim lighting, dark carpet, and an old video game or two to get you in the mood. Service is friendly and prompt and their pie is hand-made with quality toppings. There are enough specialty meat options(i.e., the Kitchen Sink) to please the true midwesterners in my family and enough veggies that even I can feel relaxed in this place. There was a time when the cities and small towns of this country could be explored via their individual pizza parlors. The toppings, the sauce, the crust, … each one would bear the stamp of the community. I’m pleased to say that the Village Square is doing its part to keep that tradition alive.
