Canoe Ridge is the best tasting room in Walla Walla. Each of the wines we sampled was delicious. The wine expert was super nice and has a cute dog. The only drawback is that this tasting room is in an industrial area far away from downtown, so you have to drive there, through the slums of Walla Walla, and then your view is a junk yard. They really should move the tasting room to downtown.

We really enjoyed Canoe Ridge. It’s a pretty small space with a really small bar but the server was very friendly and the wines were good. You can purchase wine by the glass and they had an extensive list of wines from several different vintages. What was really fun was tasting and being able to buy wines that you cannot get in stores. The wines available only at the tasting room were good, generally drier than their store line with complex layers of flavor. Definitely worth a visit.

Canoe Ridge is a special place for us since our first bottle of wine during our courtship was a Canoe Ridge Cabernet. This tasting room is a bit off the beaten path, which makes it even more special(and less crowded). The staff was super friendly and informative and the entire experience was memorable. Definitely plan a visit to canoe ridge if you are wine tasting in walla walla!

Canoe Ridge is amazing! John is an outstanding tasting room host, he really makes the experience fun. I went to the Harvest Party over the weekend and I can’t wait to go the next event there!

I stopped here en route to a business meeting in Walla Walla, after driving from Seattle! :(Since I’d never visited a vineyard in the region, Napa was the only thing I had to compare it to. The staff was very eager to help, and I really enjoyed the wines. Wish I had more time. Check it out!

Predictably good Walla Walla estate vineyard wine: nothing disappoints. Nice selection, nice pours. And what I like best about these guys… The wines do not all taste the same. Each is a prime example of its varietal, yet each stands out in its own way and has its own idiosyncrasies. I didn’t like all the wines, but I appreciated their effort to «change it up» and not stick with the exact same style of wine-making for every single wine. Points for bravery! **Be sure to check out the dessert wines; if you don’t consider yourself a fan, these just may convert you if you’re willing to approach with an open mind.
