This place was delightful to work with. They took my tower in immediately, which had several issues, and got it back to me within 48 hours, running like new. I will definitely be going back there with any PC problems in the future.

Cynergy has been taking care of the computers at my Chiropractic Clinic and my home for years and they are awesome. The owner, Chris, has always done a fantastic job of explaining to me everything that may be wrong with a device and what needs to be done about it. Everyone there is very knowledgeable about their industry and have always done a great job removing malware, keeping my computers running at great speeds, and answering any of my questions. I’ve also bought a number of products there including laptops, AC adapters, and HDMI cables and have been extremely happy with all of the products that they recommended to us.

I had a really, really unfortunate experience with Cynergy PC. I took my HP laptop here because I was having issues with the display. When I went to pick it up after the work had been completed, I noticed that the AC adapter they were trying to send me home with was not the one I dropped off. I called HP to confirm, and they agreed that the serial number of the AC adapter was not the one that originally came with my computer. It was at this point that I found out Cynergy PC does NOT label all parts that customers bring to their stores, so it is very easy for them to mix up one customer’s AC adapter with another’s! The particular weekend I went to pick up my laptop, there had been 4 other HPs in the shop, and none of the adapters had been labeled with the customer’s names! I explained to the store employee that I would like for them to locate and return my original adapter to me, and I would also like for the owner of the shop to call me back when he returned from his vacation to discuss what had happened. Three business days later, I had still not received a call from the owner. I figured since he had an upset customer, it would be at the top of his agenda to call me and apologize for losing my original AC adapter. When I called over to the store, I found out that he basically had no intention of ever calling me back! Not only that, but he REFUSED to apologize or believe that any mix-up had occurred, in spite of the fact that HP had TOLDME the AC adapter he had given me was not the original one that came with my computer! He made me call over to HP yet again, completely wasting my time, and even after they told him the adapter he gave me was the wrong one, he STILL would not acknowledge fault or apologize! He eventually bought me a replacement adapter, but only after many hours of fighting, no acknowledgement of responsibility for the sloppy practice of not labeling customers’ computer parts, and no apology for losing my part in the first place. It’s been about 6 months since the work was performed on my laptop, and I do still have some issues with my laptop’s display. Also, the work these guys did created another problem with my computer that did not exist before. Now, when I wake my computer up from hibernation, I need to wait a good 60 seconds or so before clicking on ANYTHING. If I click too soon, my computer will freeze up and I will be forced to do a hard shutdown. I never had this problem before taking my computer to Cynergy PC, and I have to say it is a little bit of an annoyance. On another note, when I was at Cynergy PC to pick up my laptop, the store employee mentioned that one of the bad things people can do to their computer is leave it in an environment filled with cigarette smoke. I found this ironic since the Cynergy PC store reeks of cigarette smoke. I am super sensitive to it, and I had a headache after being in the store for about 5 minutes. I like to support local businesses, but unfortunately I can not recommend this one.

Going to a PC store can be a lot like going to the mechanic. If you don’t know at least a little bit about your problem, you can spend WAY too much unless you have someone you trust. Over the years, I’ve found certain car places I trust around Southeast Michigan and with Cynergy, I now have a PC repair place I trust. Their prices are WAY better than all of the big box stores that prey on your ignorance or fear of losing data. On top of that, they fix what needs to be fixed and that’s it. I’ve taken two of my own PCs to Cynergy, two of my co-workers and sent at least four other customers to them. Everyone has said the same thing to me when their repairs are complete. I love supporting Michigan business owners and I’m glad to continue to recommend Cynergy PC to everyone I know.
