Typically we get Chinese from Hong Kong, but haven’t had our fill Of Sesame Chicken since their fire. Today we decided to get lunch at Panda Garden based on many positive reviews from friends. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the meal that I received. Soup, an egg roll and fried noodles were all good, but the pork fried rice was over cooked and didn’t seem to contain any pork. The sesame chicken was dry and tough. We won’t be back.

Got take out. Egg drop soup and chicken and broccoli. It was ready in 10 minutes and was piping hot and fresh. Looked like it had a nice dine in area as well. I will be returning!

I liked the atmosphere and the staff seemed nice. When it comes to the dish I ordered, the chicken was the infamous Chinese Rubber Chicken (CRC). No Chinese restaurant should be above 3 stars if they are going to serve CRC. Otherwise the rest was pretty good. Oh, the wonton soup was not really that good. Small over boiled wantons. If they get rid of the CRC and switch to 100% chicken I will up this place to a 4. I don’t know yet if they serve CRB.

Ordered takeout for the first time. hoping to find a new family favorite. When I got there and went inside it was like a freaking ghost town! Oh my goodness! So creepy, to me at least. The woman asked what I ordered and then just pulled my bag from behind a wall. The restaurant inside is a good size but there wasn’t a person in sight besides the woman who handed me my food.
The food itself was ok/​good. But I was creeped out enough to not go back again. Lol sorry

Very inconsistent, some nights the food is hot and fresh other nights its tastes old and has obviously been sitting around. I don’t know if maybe they have different chefs? On the plus side, delivery is always fast!

I’m very torn in writing this review. The food here is really pretty good. The noodles and duck sauce are a very nice touch that you don’t get everywhere. The Chicken fingers are good too. That being said… They did deliver to us once. But the second time the girl said there was no way they would deliver as we were too far away. We live over the line in Meriden. Mapquest says we are 4.5 miles away from the restaurant. I wish they would reconsider delivery. Maybe if they charged a delivery fee to those in Meriden people would be willing to pay it because the food really is good. Totally bummed that I found a place I like for delivery only to find that they won’t deliver.

Been loving this place as our new go to for delivery or pick up. What I love is when you get take out they give you everything you could want for sauces crunchy noodles and even tea bags. Their crab Rangoons are a must they are huge and delicious I’ve never had anywhere near as good from any other restaurant. Their lo mein is just ok but chicken and broccoli was solid. Prompt delivery and I hope to eat inside one day as the place is huge.

VERY disappointed! I like 1.6 miles from Panda Garden, right over the line in Meriden. It is a 4 minute drive for delivery. They have delivered to us before and all of a sudden called back and told me it was «too far for delivery» Really 4 minutes is too far of a drive? The Chinese restaurant down the street from you which is 6 minutes away delivers to us! You can keep your food and your bad attitudes and poor customer service. We will not be doing business with you again, even for pickup!

We ordered take out and picked it up. The combinations include fried rice, egg roll, and choice of soup. Our uncle likes to eat in the restaurant and likes the beers for $ 2.50. He feels everyone is very friendly.
Shredded beef szechuan style– I ordered it extra spicy and it was a pleasant surprise that it had a nice heat!
General Tso’s Prawns– they don’t do this as a combination, but hubby was happy with his order. He gets the sauce on the side to avoid soggy shrimp during transit time. The sauce had hot peppers, mushrooms, baby corn, and red peppers in it. It was very good.
Chicken with garlic sauce– uncle was very happy with his. Also ordered extra spicy.
Chicken with broccoli– brother in law thought it was a little bland, but overall good.
A nice surprise in the bag– crispy noodles and duck sauce along with bags of tea in case you want to create a restaurant meal at home :)
Looks like this is our new go to when the mood for Chinese strikes!

I can only give this place 1 star, since the Unilocal app told me it was nearby (less than 5 miles from my home) when I told them I live in Meriden, they told me they can’t come because it is TOO FAR. I explained to them how it was 5 miles, and they still refused. Guess they won’t get my business.

By far the best Chinese food in town… and I am picky. The prices are great, very cheap.
The menu has your average asian fare, so if you are looking for something trendy and fusion this probably isn’t your place. The quality is consistant and the staff are all very friendly everytime we go in (or see them around town and they say hello!)
My family and I eat in or get take out here once or twice a month.
The resturaunt it’s self is clean and QUIET! I love going here when I’ve had a long day, they usually have soothing music on.
You always receive complimentary tea, pineapple, and of course fortune cookies.
We have been going here for 2 years, since we moved to town, tried a few other asian resturaunts, then had this place and didn’t need any others!

My company orders take out lunch from PG at least 3x week. Not only is it cheap (lunch combos from 5.95−6.95), but everything from shrimp with lobster sauce, chicken and snow peas, sesame chicken. I mean everything is fresh, great, come with egg roll, wonton soup and even real special mustard if you ask for it. Food is 5 stars. eat in is 4 because it’s a little dated. Next to Royal in New Haven, this is the best.

Homemade wontons for succulent soup! It’s just so good and makes me wish I could enjoy another bowl. The food is good. Service could be a little better but we dined when it wasn’t as busy in the dining room but take out was booming. We were not offered additional beverages, etx — Thus giving a 4 star rating vs 5. The food was freshly prepared and just worth it. The prices are better than anywhere else in the area too!!!

My GPS pointed us to Panda Garden yesterday, and it was a lucky thing! We got dishes with incredibly fresh vegetables cooked just right, seasoned well, and not greasy at all. Our lunch was so good, we asked for a duplicate order to take home for dinner. (It was yummy even hours later!)
Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is a little plain, save for several handmade quilts on the walls. But the food really hit the spot!

Knocking down a star, I have an issue with delivery fees. You either offer it, or you don’t. $ 15 for delivery, fine, but when my order comes to $ 13.95 be fair and deliver. After I tip it’ll be over the minimum. Now, because I’m annoyed I’m not placing an order and you lost the $ 13.95.
