Birthday cake with wrong flavor. I had to bring it in to «prove«I didn’t get right cake. Attitudes in store unprofessional. I will never come back to this store for ice cream, cakes, or anything

Two words: lukewarm sentiments. I had the small coconut cream in a waffle cone. The waffle cone was a bit stale. The ice cream had lots of shredded coconut so it was texturally good, but the actual coconut flavor was lacking. The were also bits of unevenly distributed vanilla extract in there so a few bites of the ice cream was off putting. The ice cream base itself was creamy, and it wasn’t super melty; that aspect was okay. Overall: not horrendous, but unlikely to return.

This place ruined my son’s birthday party! Terrible disorganization, hostess did NOTHING, parents upset, cold pizza, paid for extra balloons for the kids which did not even have helium in them! They were on the ground. The bill comes and we got charged for extra children that were not there which is nothing less than illegal. Also had to pay 17% gratuity and 6.35% tax for children on bill that were not there. Got charged for bowls of popcorn that were so burnt our guests could not eat them. And the owner will not call me back to make right on the over-charging on our bill. I have called repeatedly and told she is on vacation, too busy to call me, etc. DONOTHAVEYOURCHILD’S PARTYHERE!!! As a matter of fact, even buying ice cream from this place is not okay because of how they treat customers and children and their BLATENT disregard when a customer is very unhappy. Thumbs down Pralines of Wallingford! Shame on you!

The ice cream is very good and I have been coming here since I was a little kid(I am 36). This is the first time I’ve felt compelled to write something as the service has usually been ok. Today I went and ordered three sundaes to go. Even though I was the only one there from the time I entered to the time I left and there were 4 employees(? — there were 4 people behind the counter) I felt like I was interrupting the conversation these people were having. The woman helping me repeatedly was talking to her colleague about something that was frustrating her and was helping me as an afterthought. I thought it was incredibly rude and completely unprofessional. I felt as though my business here today was an imposition.

The best milkshakes. That’s all you need to know however Unilocal requires me to write more. Place has been here forever but in the last 10 years that’s all I would come for.

If you like lemon, I highly recommend you try the lemon pie ice cream. Pralines and Ashley’s in New Haven are the only two ice cream places that seem to have it. It’s truly delicious. Pralines’ version is so rich and creamy; it reminds of the great lemon gelato in Italy, not lemon ice, mind you, real ice cream.

Great ice cream. Must try Beez Kneez, I’ve never had a better ice cream flavor before. Place needs a serious cleaning though… I actually had to take my ice cream outside to enjoy it & feel sanitary.

I had a craving for ice cream when I passed by Pralines yesterday. So I stopped in on the way back home and got a cup of Beez Neez, it had graham cracker and honey comb type nuggets. I added marshmallow and sprinkles too heh heh. It hit the spot! Love their ice cream!

I am a connoisseur of ice cream(IMHO) and Pralines remains my hands-down favorite in the greater New Haven area. This particular ice cream parlor has a large selection of Pralines flavors, including special«holiday» flavors(Pumpkin, Peppermint Stick, etc.). Their homemade whipped cream is the best; the real deal and they are generous with it. The hot fudge sauce is dark and chocolatey. A regular sundae fills a pint container and their cups and cones are probably a little larger than average. There is seating available and a room in the back for kids’ parties. They also have soft serve and low-fat, sugarless options(which I have never tried). They make delicious ice cream cakes, available both pre-made or made-to-order(ask for both crumbles and fudge in the center if you’re a chocolate fan like me). My favorite flavors? Lemon pie(very lemony with graham cracker crust broken up in it), coconut crème, peppermint stick and pumpkin around the winter holidays, and, once in a while, a mint chocolate chip hot fudge sundae with nut and whipped cream. Doesn’t get any better than that. Don’t forget to ask to belong to the«sundae club» — buy 10 get one free.

I really love this ice cream place. its usually pretty busy, but the people who work there are nice. This one lady especially with black, long curly hair. I can never get her name, but I think she’s great and she has taken my order several times. Beez Kneez is my favorite flavor. the only time i had something i didnt care for there was a strawberry shortcake sundae. The biscut was hard and seemed old. Other than that every time has been a winner. Just dont bring back that awful lemon/chocolate ice cream, that was just ick.

Been going here since I was a kid. They make their own fresh whipped cream which is really, to die for. Very creamy, nothing like anything you’ll get at the super market. A world’s difference in quality. Praline’s makes all their own ice cream and like the whipped cream its delicious and high quality all around. They also carry some specialty flavors like low sugar and no sugar. Whenever I go I HAVE to have their cotton candy flavored ice cream. Its my absolute favorite.

A lot of flavors to choose from, high quality premium ice creams(I loved the toasted almonds one), exactly what you want from a local ice cream shop.

pralines is some good local ice cream. i cant find a list of all their locations but it seems like they have a dozen around the area. the hard scooped, soft serve, no fat, no sugar added — it’s all good. my faves are the mint chocolate chip and mint oreo. this location is pretty convenient too — not too far off rt 15.

The best ice cream shop in town, period. Forget the chains. A large variety of unique flavors, along with the classics. Famous for their canine offerings, too.
