The classes are awesome! And very friendly staffs! Lots of machines. Make me feel like going to the gym.

We love our Y, both locations. The value, classes, equipment, offerings(hello free child watch w/membership) cannot be matched for the price and quality anywhere. Sure there are value gyms every third block but it’s like buying a used car to get on a treadmill, the classes are second rate & the crowd has the collective maturity of a high school junior. No, I don’t want to be in your selfie, dude. Locations are well maintained, give off a strong community vibe and there is always, always something to do. My Daughter has taken swimming lessons and they were worth every penny — attentive instructor, small class size, and convenient times. I adore the app in iTunes, it allows me to input classes into my schedule, check openings, it’s my Y at my fingertips. My only suggestion would be class sign up online! The value far exceeds the cost.

Oddly enough I had written a positive review of this facility 4 months ago and it dissapeared off of their review board. Wonder why. This place was sold to theYMCA. Everything will remain the same except the price will go down. Still no wifi, hence the missing star.

I drove to CT from PA after work and found this gym. They let me workout for free! Great equipment-even some weight machines I hadn’t used before. Tons of ellipticals, cross trainers and treadmills, etc. Loved the stretching machines. All areas were clean and well maintained. Staff members were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Thanks for a great workout session!

If I could do 3&½ stars I would. pro *plenty of good equipment that is always in working order(except for the steam rooms) *very clean(except for the steam rooms) the cleaning staff works their butts off cleaning the entire place daily *a good crowd working out there *classes are popular cons *they need to hire more carefully about ½ the people working the counters are epically lazy and rude(though the other ½ are good) with an enormous sense of entitlement, their motto is «it’s not my job” — just terrible especially in contrast with the cleaning staff *they do not respond to problems very quickly if at all-the carpet in the men’s locker room has needed replacement for a couple years and it is only a small area but while they spend money elsewhere they never get around to spending the couple 100 dollars to replace the worn carpet in the locker rooms that has been pointed out to them many times also problems that wouldn’t cost any money like not blasting terrible music or making sure the wall clocks read the correct time *hours could be better and they have weird holiday hours plus the people there shut down for snow whenever they can, the employees are like kids in school wishing for a snow day(nothing kills me more than showing up when it is flurrying out to find that they closed and then driving by 3 open gyms on the drive home) *somewhat pricey and they are a little dodgey with their pricing plans and when people quit All in all a good gym that has a good group working out but there a few little things that will sometimes drive you nuts. :update: This place has gotten a bit worse since the last review-they finally replaced the carpet after it started to come off of the floor but they aren’t doing quite the job cleaning that they had done losing most of their cleaning staff(along with firing a very hard working disabled guy) still not dirty but all around a bit worse than it was :update #2 this place was bought by the Wallingford YMCA– it is about the same just a little more crowded and a lot cheaper
