Amazing Lebanese cuisine in Bergen County! Try the mix grill! The hummus is just like my mothers and everything else is outstanding!

I would have gave this place 4 stars but I simply couldn’t because in the end I still 100% love it. I was there tonight and been here about 10 times overall the service is always beyond great the servers constantly check up on u however the hookah took around 15 min to arrive and the food took around 45 min or more… we were starving but when it finally came it was so amazing! And the hookah is by far the BEST hookah u will ever have and I tried hookah everywhere! This place is great for celebrating bdays and just spending time with friends. Fri-sun they have belly dancers and a DJ. Overall fun atmosphere with great service phenomenal food and the absolute best hookah

If you want to go to a restaurant and roll the dice on what you’ll pay — then go to Cedars. Here’s the bottom line. The food is mediocre, the staff is ok, the hookah is good and on some nights you get live entertainment(dancers, singers, DJ). We ordered food and a few hookahs and the bill was over by more than $ 100. Why? Guys(sometimes?) get charged COVER. Everyone needs to order food worth at least a MINIMUM amount — Those«rules» were not communicated until we received the way overcharged bill … If you want to go(do you still want to go??) make sure they tell you — Cover for guys(if at all, maybe?) because apparently it depends on the whims of the owner — Minimum to spend on food — which changes depending on who you ask — Any other made up charges Even then, be prepared to be surprised …(I hope you like surprises)

Went here for the on Friday night and I was not disappointed. As soon as you walk in the place just screams out«good time». The staff was all very friendly and helpful and they made suggestions if you weren’t sure what you’d like. The food was tremendous we had the mixed grill and the baked salmon. For appetizers we had a homemade hummusand the falafel. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for something different and I would definitely be going back with a group of people.

Great food at amazing prices… The hookah is mediocre and could be improved other than that nice spot with attentive staff

Cedars is the BEST for arabic food and entertainment under a single roof. and i have been to several of these places in north jersey and NYC. Here’s a list of all the things I love about this place: — Saturday nights are HOPPIN, we saw 2 great singers with a belly dancer between sets. if you’ve ever been to an arabic wedding with a live singer, it had a similar feel. the crowd was dancing their ass off and the singers/dancer were mingling with everyone. — speaking of the crowd, they were great, too — everyone was super friendly and spirits were great. — staff were GREAT. it was easy to book a table, they were flexible and cool when i called to say i was running late, and i saw them helping super drunk people at the end of the night, compassionately and genuinely concerned for their safety, not just tossing them out on the streets and treating them like dredges of society(like you will find in a lot of other NJ clubs, unfortunately). food came out quickly and despite the place being packed, waiters were attentive and accommodating. hookah took a little long to come out but thats rather normal, they were on top of changing the coals throughout the night. they remember repeat customers and treat them like friends. — food was so good. kibbeh nayeh, hummus, and the meat platter(namely the chicken kebab) all amongst the best i ever had(my in laws are all arabic so there are my credentials). falafel was great, too. I would totally come back for a large dinner party or just with friends to party, eat, and drink on a saturday night. BYOB!!! Highly recommend making a reservation.

What a great place! Let me start by saying I’ve tried many middle Eastern restaurants with cuisine from their respective countries and by far Cedars is the best middle eastern and Lebanese restaurant around. The interior is beautifully done. Simple yet sophisticated… The wait staff and hookah staff are pleasant and attentive. Each time I’ve been there I was warmly welcomed by the owner, Elaina(sp?) The food is exceptional, the portions generous and the presentation is gorgeous. The prices are very reasonable. It is a great place for an unhurried lunch or dinner, don’t get me wrong, I say this because the servers do not rush you along. I almost hesitate to post this for fear I won’t get a table next time I go! LOL

This place changes the game for sure. When you think of hookah you think clifton or paterson never wallington well this exceeds my expectations. I came here twice one on a weekday and once on a weekend. Each visit was better then the next. First time coming to cedars i arrived on the weekend meeting a couple of people. Make sure you have a reservation on the weekend because its almost always booked. We were greeted by the manager which is a very nice guy and explained us the options we had on the weekends either a cover charger or a fixed menu. We came here for a experience to see what the buzz is about this place. We got the fix menu which we thought they might skimp on the food because they need to accommodate over 200 people that night but i was wrong. We had our server send out all the apps one shot because we were very hungry. It was a total of 8 apps and it was worth every single penny. While we were eating we had a a great show to watch with the belly dancer. Amazing service + Amazing Food + Belly dancer and a great show = best experience at a hookah bar. I try out a place two times before i write a review and this place again was amazing. I was greeted by a very sweet lady and we were seated at a booth. We ordered a couple of apps again to see if they taste the same as before. It was amazing like the last time we came here. We also ordered the mix grill. The mix grill was cooked perfectly and we had the same server as last time so the service was amazing. I love how they make mint hookahs because some places in paterson wont make it for you. Charcoal is changed in a timely manner so you are never smoking nothing. Im a big hookah fanatic so i know good hookah and would recommend this place to everyone. 1) Amazing service 2) Good Prices 3) Great Hookah 4) Food is too good Those are the four reasons to try this place out!!!

My first experience here was on a Saturday night for my grandmothers 80th birthday and yes, you just read that correctly. my Grandmother. What can I say, she loves to party! Cedars delivered on all fronts. There was an abundance(then excess) of delicious food and more dancing than we could have ever asked for. Since we were a large group(20+) we were split at two tables right in front of the dance floor. At first, we couldn’t hear our own thoughts because we also just so happened to be sitting in front of the speakers but we managed to adapt somehow. There were several platters of Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Tabouleh salad and fresh pita when we first arrived scattered throughout the tables. Since this restaurant is BYO, there were also small water bottles and cans of seltzer. Then we moved onto hot appetizers which included Kibbeh, Sambousek, and Spicy Potatoes. By this point the live music had taken the stage, performing typical arabic song and dance. For main course, we had a couple platters of the Mix Grill — filet, chicken and kufta kebobs with a side of rice and some kind of GLORIOUS Garlic yogurt. And when I say glorious, I mean I almost licked the side dish clean. Throughout the meal, the servers were very attentive making sure to clear the table of clutter and replenishing the hookahs at each of the tables. At 12pm the belly dancer came out and had a little show. I’ve seen quite a few of these, and this was definitely better than most. She was interactive with the audience, and wasn’t just doing the same dance moves over and over. My family, and most importantly, my grandmother had such a great time and owe many thanks to Cedars! If you don’t mind loud arabic/lebanese music and want to party into the wee hours of the night, I would definitely recommend this venue.

Loved the place. Came on a Friday night with no reservation around 7pm. Was told first table available around 9. The place was empty save for a really big bday party that just started getting going. They seriously almost asked us to leave. You lost 1 star for that. Sat and ordered chicken fattoush and hubby the lamb chops. Good was fantastic. Cannot wait to return again. Food tastes just like I remember in Detroit. Miss great Arabic food. New local go to spot. Just remember a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night.

The food is amazing and the restaurant is very clean. Everyone is very friendly and more than accommodating. Excellent service. I have been several times and always have the same great experience. I don’t write many reviews, but they deserve it. I would highly recommend eating here. They also have Hooka for those interested.

WOW! Talk about a night full of flavor and fun! Let me just start by saying the food was delicious #1HUMMUS is a must — great balance of chickpea and tehina. The grill mix was moist and delicious(highly recommend) The service was wonderful — coming around and checking on tables, clearing plates promptly(but not intrusively). Sexy Bellydancer? YES! Crazy awesome DJ? YES! HOOKAHWASSOSMOOTH! We got the citrus mint and it was great — BEST hookah in the area by far! Just come here — especially on a Friday or Saturday night and you won’t be disappointed!

I really enjoy this place. The food is flavorful and comes out hot! They have hookah and it’s byob and on Fridays and Saturdays there is a cover because the restaurant turns into a huge fun party with music, belly dancers, and a drummer. The cover seems a bit expensive but they work in dinner with it and you have to make a reservation on those days since the place sells out. It’s a great party. The crowd is mixed, different cultures of people and ages. It’s not only Middle Easterners that frequent the venue. The DJ plays everything from Hip Hop to Bachata to Arabic house and he’s fantastic. I have 2 issues with this place. 1. No matter when you walk in, or how you look, or who you are with, everyone will stare at you. Its not the staff so mucj, its everyone there who is seated. Don’t know why, it’s a welcoming ritual of sorts I guess. 2. The waitresses can be a bit slow depending on when you are there and who is working. At the end of the day it’s def worth it to try the place atleast once!

Love this place ! Really fun atmosphere, really really good food. The entertainment never fails to impress. Bathrooms are always clean and service is fast! You really feel like you’re in Lebanon! Also, it may have the best hookah in north jersey! Definitely the new spot for the girls and I!

Cedars is my local spot for Lebanese food. I recommend the chicken kabob platter and mixed grill platter. The meat is grilled perfectly and is nice and tender. You have a choice of sides. I recommend the bulgar. I also like the falafel sandwich which has a good amount of tasty falafel and fresh veg. Pita is soft and fresh too. Prices are very reasonable. I’ve only done takeout here, but I’ve seen the interior and it’s spacious and modern. You wouldn’t expect it based on the exterior. The service at the front is friendly. They also offer hookahs with a variety of flavors to choose from. Smoking hookah brings back memories from my carefree days. So will be sure to come back with friends to relive those moments.

A dining experience The place feels fun. It seats a lot of people. The staff acts like they want to be there. The service is fast and the portions are large! Two appetizers would be enough for a party of four. I liked the grape leaves, they were quite large. Everyone liked their grill platters which were a nice balance of meat and vegetables.
