Dr. Carl Hirsch

My primary care physician referred me to Dr Hirsch twenty years ago. Dr Hirsch has been exceptional in examining my eyes making recommendations about my eye care, sun glasses, wide brim hats, etc., and his medical expertise and his keeping up with technology and therapies is second to none. I would recommend him to all, all of my family members in the area go to him also. You will be happy and satisfied with your choice in Dr Hirsch and his care.

I have seen Dr. Hirsch for decades and totally appreciate him. Everything from his professionalism to his sense of humor. His staff is always helpful and personable. I have a hard time making decisions and the ladies always make the process of picking a frame easier.
Location great, parking great, hours accommodating!

I just took my Daughters to see Dr Hirsch. He took so much more time with them than the old optometrists. He goes the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. Very friendly staff. My Daughter is getting the CRT Lenses so I hope to update on those shortly after she had them for awhile.

It was a thorough exam and felt confident in my prescription, I was given lots of options. I give it a 4 because they don’t carry persol frames :(. Other than that I am a happy customer.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Hirsch for many years now and I remain compelled to give him and his office the best of reviews. Starting with location, for anyone in the WC vicinity, one could not ask for a better location. We live in Danville and it’s still a very convenient 10 minute drive. The free one hour parking lot is literally next door. In regards to the front office, they are always friendly and helpful and make going to a doctor’s office most pleasant. Dr. Hirsch, of course is top notch. He’s not only a professional but also personable and shows care about our overall health. He has kept our eyes healthy over the years and we highly recommend him to all!

Great front office. They are personable, professional and efficient. Dr. Hirsch is wonderful. I’ve been searching for an optometrist who understands my needs and challenges for years. My general practitioner see’s him and highly recommended him to me. He was right. Dr. Hirsch really cares about the health, well being and comfort of his patients. I warned him on my first visit that I was not an ordinary case and he accepted the challenge and has amazed me. Through multiple visits and telephone follow-​ups, he not only helped me with my vision challenges, but he has turned me into a lifetime patient. I recommend Dr. Hirsch wholeheartedly to anyone. Flexible hours! I was able to come in at 8:30am on a Saturday. This was perfect because I work in the city and commute daily. Overall it was a great experience. Dr Hirsch was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. This goes for his staff as well!

We have tried to work with this office for 2 years and if you are attempting to purchase prescription eyewear through your insurance… don’t bother. They seem to have wonderful service in the office, helpful with an ok selection of eyewear for kids and adults but are completely inept at dealing with insurance and reimbursements. We have paid over $ 600 now for my kids glasses out of pocket. I have even gone in with my insurance carrier on the phone to get the payment issues resolved and they still managed to screw it up. Save yourself… just go to Costco.

EVERBODY at Hirsch Vision is truly a 5-​Plus! I have been going to Dr. Hirsch for many years and have had exceptional service! Dr. Hirsch is great and his staff are superlative! I have nothing but top-​notch experiences with all phases of eye care, from the exam to walking out the door with great glasses. You will not be sorry with Hirsch Vision!

Dr Hirsch is a fantastic optometrist! When I came to see him the first time my prescription wasn’t right and I was having migraines from it. He worked with me to make sure we had the best results. As a result of this my prescription actually improved and my migraines are few. He listens to what you need and want while still helping to guide you to what will work best! Also he has a machine that takes the pictures of your eyes so you do not need to be dilated. I’m lucky to have him as my Dr and would highly recommend him!!!

I love Dr. Hirsch. He’s a true professional. He knows what he’s doing. I don’t leave there feeling like I was ripped off or that I got a wrong prescription. He’s a really cool down to earth guy.

My experiences with Dr. Hirsch and staff almost without exception have been fruitful over the years. He has often gone out if his way to satisfy my rather picky needs. Also, his staff has been most patient and regularly exceed my expectations for service. I have found the frames selections to be high quality and quite varied. Lastly, coordination with my insurances has been exacting and efficient.

Wonderful, caring doctor. I have had a vision problem throughout my adult life. Dr. Hirsch was able to determine what the problem was and solved this eyecare issue for me. Very professional and down to earth and the same time.

After reading the reviews, I had mixed feelings and decided to give Dr. Hirsch the benefit of the doubt and made an appointment to see him. After my experience with him and his staff, I felt like an idiot for even giving him a chance.
I think Dr. Hirsch takes advantages of his patients. I went in for a contact fitting and had to return 3 times because prescription was not right. After we found the best prescription for my eyes, I purchased a month supply. When i went to pick-​up the contact, Dr. Hirsch made a special post-​it note to his staff to change me extra for the fitting, just about double the regular fitting price.
It took Dr. Hirsch 3 times to get the fitting right which is something I have never experienced with any doctor before which says something about his skills. I would not return to see this doctor and would not recommend anyone to see him.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Hirsch for more than 10 years. I went to him because a friend of mine referred me to him. I have found him and his entire staff to be friendly, helpful, informative, and above all, the utmost professionals. I am a contact lens wearer and my husband and daughter both wear glasses. Dr. Hirsch has always answered all of our questions. I have needed corrective lenses since I was 2, and I can honestly say Dr. Hirsch is the best I have been to. He is very thorough, meticulous, and honest. We also sincerely appreciate his quick wit and sense of humor!
The front desk staff, especially Connie, has always been extremely helpful in making sure that we all get what we need, and want, at the best deal possible. They have always helped us to find frames that fit within our budget and our insurance coverage, while still being flattering.
I heartily recommend Dr. Hirsch anytime someone in my area asks for an eye doctor referral.

I took my very shy 10 YO daughter for a visual-​perceptual exam. Dr. Hirsch was great! We will be scheduling appointments for the rest of the family soon.

I hadn’t been to Dr. Hirsch in several years because I thought I would save myself money by going to Costco and «cheaper» places. What an idiot I was!
I just left his office and it reminded me of what a great job he does for his patients, and at a more than fair value. I’ve never had such a comprehensive eye exam and worked with someone who spent so much time trying to find me the perfect prescription for my difficult eyes. And he did it!
For the first time in my adult life, I can actually read and see distances at the same time with my contact lenses. It’s wonderful!
Take my advice and don’t waste your time with pretenders or places that you think will save you money. Dr. Hirsch is a true professional who really cares about his patients, and I highly recommend him.
