They know us by name, the employees, especially Vanessa, Jackie, Tiffany, and Tina, give quality service and are overall lovely people. Really a welcoming place :)

I recommend this place for anyone craving something sweet! I had a s’mores waffles and added on banana, hot black tea, and my boyfriend had a vanilla and blueberry waffle. We will be coming back soon!

SWWWWWWEEEEEEEEETTTTTT!!! So, I just did a super duper work out at 9rounds, which I highly reccomend. Was my first time in here. I was warmly greeted, and since it was my first time here, wasn’t sure what I wanted. His name is Jackie, I had some water, and then a small FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE sample of the Honeydew ice. YYYYYYYUUUUUUMMMMM and also refreshing. Thanks, I plan to be back.

I love this place. The shaved snow is so light and refreshing. I usually get mango snow, strawberry bubble and condensed milk. I’m dying to try their waffles or bread house. The staff is also very nice and always polite. Great neighborhood joint.

I think I’m not the only one who visited this place thinking that they would relive their memories of Ice Monster in Taiwan or Japan. Alas, when we arrived we quickly noticed that while they serve shaved ice here, it’s not at all the same quality than the Ice Monster in Taipei or Tokyo. The shaved ice here basically is frozen milk shaved into a bowl whereas the original shaved ice is more of watery consistency with subtle flavors. Basically, here they serve gelato with toppings… but the topics are not really that nice either. My mochis, for example, were colorful and tasted super artificial. The service was really friendly, however, and they right away said that they’re not affiliated with the Ice Monster in Taipei.

We had the Oreo explosion ice cream cake house. It was pretty good and definitely fulfilled our late night sweet craving. The inside was really clean and the menu was well laid out but had no explanation and the young girl at the front would rather been anywhere other then at work. Given that it was about 45 mins to closing I understand the staff pre cleaning but the girl was spraying disinfectant all over the restaurant while we were still eating. Health code violation and not exactly enjoyable while trying to finish deserts. Overall good delicious variety of desserts so we will probably be back for another late night craving.

Overpriced for what it is worth and it not as good as other snowice places. The mochi on the snowice was hard, not fresh now chewy. The snow ice was way too artificially flavored, like if you were drinking the concentrated juice. It also had a weird sticky texture versus a creamy/milky texture/flavor. Because it had such thick flavor, you could not taste it anymore after a few bites, which left a big pile of dessert that was neither appetizing nor good. I tried honeydew and mango flavors, so maybe it’s different with non-fruit flavors. We also got a brick toast, which was alright. The toast pieces were definitely good because they were crispy, but other than that, there wasn’t much more flavor than crispy/toasted bread. It looks prettier than it tastes. Definitely has more unique things compared to the area, but it’s just alright compared to the others of the same kind. Customer service was great though. They didn’t kick us out right at closing.

I came here on a cold and brisk Monday night after attending a Warriors event & there was no wait! :D I’ve seen this place pop up on Unilocal & had been meaning to try it. The logo is super adorable! I kept my friend’s cup as a souvenir since the logo is on it(to hold loose change haha). I ordered the snow ice course — the Kid size TARO flavor was more than enough for me. You get to choose one topping & one syrup with the option to add more(additional cost). I was happy with just mochi and condensed milk. I really enjoyed it — it was definitely the consistently I like which is super creamy & almost like ice cream! Reminded me of Snowflakes in Dublin which is my fave spot for this type of dessert. They have a medium & large(monster?) size that would be great for sharing. My friend ordered a crêpe and a Honey Lemon Green Tea with boba. The texture of the crêpe was just okay to me but I took a sip of the Tea and tasted pretty refreshing & also VERY acidic! One of the walls is decorated with pictures of happy customers on walls because who isn’t smiling & happy when they are eating DESSERT?!? :D Menu is pretty extensive but you won’t find savory items here. It’s the place to come to satisfy a sweet tooth craving hahah. Nice treat on a hot day or after dinner treat. It’s currently all decked out for the holidays. Seating is limited — only a handful of tables available. I could see there being a wait for a table during peak times. I suppose if you live in the area you could always order to go! The staff were pretty friendly and didn’t rush me to place my order. Parking is FREE and plentiful as it’s inside a plaza. Normally I don’t get snow ice to go but I packed up my leftovers. Since it was such a cold night that even with the drive home, it didn’t even melt! Definitely plan on returning for snow ice & drinks when I’m in the area next time!

Four stars only because my boyfriend noted how the milk tea was a bit bland. I usually get the peach, passion fruit, or mango green teas. Very flavorful and sweet. Great service and nice vibe going on here. Definitely coming back. (customer service is way more welcoming than Honey Berry)

Customer service here is a full 5⁄5 stars. The nice gentlemen saw how flustered we were with the large amount of options and gave us a few great pointers. He was extremely patient while we changed or order over and over again and offered amazing ways to vamp up our shaved snow. Definitely nothing negative to say about the service here. Shaved snow: — mango flavored shaved snow — condensed milk — egg pudding — vanilla ice cream Drink: — honey milk tea + boba The honey milk tea was a tad bit on the sweet side and the boba wasn’t amazing but it also wasn’t bad. Being the boba fiend I am, I just have a very picky mouth for boba. If you’re coming here, I would stick with everything else and grab your boba at the Sharetea a few miles down. Overall great place! Finding a table is hard during peak night time hours though!

I was excited to try this place, but once we started driving… realized it was kind of out of the way. Place had a few tables inside and also some tables outside — there were plenty of people inside so we chose to sit outside. PARKING: Plenty — Located in a plaza with Nob Hill so plenty of parking available. DRINKS: AVOID. Ordered a milk tea and it was so watery! No flavor to it, no sweetness, definitely did not taste any«milk tea». Drinks are served in either Regular or Large size. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here for drinks. SHAVEDSNOW: Not too bad. Tried the honeydew flavor for the first time and it was pretty good! Fresh & sweet flavor and added condensed milk & red beans to top it off. You can order in a kid, regular, or large size. A regular size was enough for 3 people to share as a dessert! I would come back for some shaved snow if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way.

We ordered a kid sized taro shaved snow with lychee jelly, bananas, and condensed milk to share. I enjoy lighter shaved snow, and this was more on the denser side. It tasted so so. But I would totally come back and try a different flavor! –Kristen The taro flavor was enjoyable a long with the toppings we ordered. The only thing is that I wish they put more condensed milk as I barely tasted/saw it. –Edmund 3 stars from Kristen. 4 stars from Edmund. 3.5 stars average.

You can pretty much order anything on the menu and it’s delicious. This has become one of my must go and eat spots when I come home to visit. Best part is that they’re open late for WC. Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards program :) Chill location, clean, and friendly staff. Mellow enough for a first date type of encounter or just posted with friends/family. Bön Apetite

Came here for an after dinner dessert with family. I had wanted to try the ice cream house, but we were pretty full from dinner, so we just needed a refreshing cold and smooth dessert instead. There’s seating inside as well as outside. The menu is easy to read and order. We opted for 2 kid size cups of ice cream. The kid sizes are actually pretty big, let alone the regular or monster sizes. Kid cup #1: original ice with mochi, litchi bubble pop, oreo, strawberry, and condensed milk Kid cup #2: mango ice with fresh mango pieces, litchi jelly, and condensed milk My favorite was the 2nd kid cup! We were all full and content! I will definitely come back for more in my next visit to Pleasant Hill.

Despite having the name«Ice Monster», this place actually has a lot more than just shaved snow! A lot of the menu items here seem to be inspired by popular Taiwanese desserts, such as the shaved snow and the ice cream bread thing. But they also have crepes, boba, and regular ice cream here too. That’s pretty ideal for a dessert place, in my opinion! I got a kid-sized strawberry shaved snow with condensed milk and mochi. It was about $ 4.35, which I thought was a good deal considering that you get one free topping and one sauce. The snow was delicious and fluffy and soft as it should be! The mochi was just hard and chewy enough. The kid sized is a fully loaded cup similar to the size of a frozen yogurt place cup, which was more than satisfying enough for me. Service is friendly and they brought the snow out really quickly. I think this place is awesome and would easily find myself coming back here on a hot day, for a dessert, or hell just anytime I want!

Nothing special. I think when you compare this place against other similar businesses you will find that it falls short in Flavor Town. However, if you were to come here with no prior experiences to liken to Ice Monster, you’d be happy. We have snow and ice cream. Green tea was okay. Makeila actually sent her strawberry snow back because she disliked it so much. I can see how people might feel flavors here are weak or not fresh. Meh…

Meh, this place is a pass… yes I’ve experienced way better. Like snowflake teahouse in Fremont… Friends and I came here after eating at a japanese restaurant on a saturday night and Ice monster was on the way back to our destination. I’ve heard good ratings about this place and it was my chance to check them out(I don’t come out to WC that often). We ordered a regular size mango shaved ice with condensed milk & vanilla ice cream and a taro shaved ice with condensed milk & mochi balls. I ordered a regular size lychee black tea with mango bubbles because I was somewhat thirsty. I was expecting amazingly weird textured, matte looking ribbon shaved ice. But it was just ribbon shaved cream. It was ice cream. It was basic… it was not ‘yonce. It was good, but not satisfying. We basically paid $ 7.50 for some fancy-asssk(but not really) looking ice cream. Lychee black tea with mango bubbles was abysmal. It was so bad I didn’t even finish it. I left it sitting in my car for over a week… I was that disappointed. I took a sip and made a disgusted face… my friends proceeded to try it and did the same thing. It tasted as if it were expired. The mango bubbles were bad too. Just tart, sour and inedible. Ick! I’d rather drink tap water than that. Overall, service was good. Everything else was meh and eh. I won’t be back… well only if somebody pays for me ;P

I’ll keep my update brief… MILKTEA, YUM. BOBA, YUM. Boba was fresh. Like seriously. It was still warm! Chewy! Delicious! Also, if you’re dining in, the drinks are served in glassware. We tried their regular milk tea and also the honey milk tea. Super yum, I’m definitely coming back for more!
