So… Let’s start with… I love iHop… THIS iHop… Nope! Me and my babygirl were in Walnut Creek for a morning appointment and decided to stop in for a To-Go order of eggs… Remember that… «To-Go» So… We arrived and there were two women sitting waiting in their orders… And nobody at the front… I could tell one lady was already unhappy, the other was passing time talking in the phone… We sat there for 10mins… 10… Still nobody at the front… At 15mins!!! I decided to CALL the business phone… And looka’there… Someone FINALLY came from the back. After servicing two other guest, including a group who had just finished eating… She took my order… Which took another 25mins to receive… My «To-Go» order took 25mins to receive… And was missing my daughters very important juice… I was not offered the military discount EVENWEARINGMYUNIFORM… *smh* And… I DIDN’T GETANYUTENSILS!!! So… I’m sitn here now… Listening to my stomach growl in anger… Watching my daughter suck down her juice like its her last meal… In the end… Maybe I should have just ate there, but then again, another party that was actually seated soon after I called the phone was still sitting at their table waiting to place orders when I left… Maybe phoning would be best, since they actually heard the loud phone. And maybe I will get a fork to eat my food!

So… this morning we left home to go to County Waffles in Pleasant Hill only to find out it had closed permanently. As disappointed as that was we decided to still go out for a Friday breakfast treat and thought of IHOP. What a treat this turned out to be. Everyone should hurry in… they have a wonderful special right now if you like sprinkles. Red velvet crepes, cupcake pancakes and awesome french toast specials. All the food and beverages were served fast and hot. Our server, Lawren was very helpful in answering our few questions and offered suggestions. We purchased the Mother’s Day gift card $ 25 with an additional $ 5 coupon. I would have included pictures for you but it would be of my empty plate… I forgot to take a «before» picture. This was a great treat and way to start the day. ”

I am a huge sweets fan and I love satisfying my cravings by coming here! My boyfriend and I came in here a few days ago and I ordered the banana foster brioche french toast and my boyfriend ordered the Ham and egg melt with no swiss. When we got our order, mine looked and tasted great, but my boyfriends looked like the cook didn’t take pride in making the sandwich. It’s a hit and miss when my boyfriend comes here so this time it was a miss. The ham was overcooked and was chewy like jerky. I hope the next time we come in the food will actually be edible and we won’t leave feeling disgusted.

I love ihop! The quality is so good!!! Jk. But it is a guilty pleasure. Pancakes to no end and I like their iced coffee. This ihop is also located in a parking lot with FREE parking! Unheard of in walnut creek!

Honestly I did not expect a great meal. Boy was I surprised. The coffee was perfect. The eggs were spot on to what I ordered. The bacon and sausage was tasty. The hash browns were just how I love them… semi crispy and freshly grilled… not burned. The extra side thing was Awesomeness(peanut butter with chocolate chips and french bread). The best meal I’ve had anywhere in awhile. This restaurant did such a great job w my food that I inquired as to who was the cook. A young man named Ricardo. My hats off to Ricardo. Thanks. You made my day. Also the whole restaurant was clean and the furniture and furnishings in perfect shape. I’ll be back to this IHOP for sure. Thank you Tyron and Ricardo. You guys are the best.

Who doesn’t like pancakes! The best part of IHOP is their variety and different takes on pancakes. I can always come here and have a conventional breakfast or spice things up with a twist on pancakes, syrups or overall combo options. i.e. half french toast/half pancakes. This may sound like it’s not a big deal, but next time you go out for breakfast… try to find a plate that has french toast and pancakes on the same order without incurring additional cost. These are just a few reasons why I like going IHOP when I get a chance.

The service was alright, she was nice. However, we ordered coffee and water but the server forgot, so we had to remind her after 10 mins of waiting. After a while, I got my original french toast and it tasted bland, dry, it was not crispy, and there was no cinnamon. I can make better french toast than this place… overall I’m very disappointed with iHop.

It’s a gorgeous Saturday morning in the East Bay of California, so I figured I’d be productive and get a few things done. I drive into Walnut Creek to the car wash and then walk across the street to the IHOP on N. Main Street. Its easy to see that they are having an active morning, about 10:30, but only 1 family waiting ahead of me inside/outside. I’m thinking Great, not the usual 4 families of 5 people in each party that I have to wait behind! I request to sit outside: 1) more open tables; 2) leave the inside tables for larger families; 3) should be quicker service. Signs of something wrong: There are clearly open tables outside and I see 2 waiters going back and forth, but it takes them nearly 10min to seat me. Then after they seat me, two other parties get seated, their drinks ordered and delivered. Now, after 22 min. of sitting and patiently waiting without getting ugly, having them walk past me repeatedly, one of the managers — Greg catches my eye and asked if I had been served. I politely responded, «No Greg, it’s been over 22 min. of your staff walking past me, and I would really appreciate a glass of Orange Juice.» Without missing a beat, Greg not only personally got my OJ. but also took my order without writing a single thing down! He even came back to check on my and give me a status update on my order! Before I could even finished my breakfast, both Greg and the waitress(sorry I didn’t catch her name) that was suppose to be working that area came back to apologize for the delay in service and for not getting upset. And to top things off, they said that they would take care of my tab!!! The moral of this review is: as a manager, Greg had a great sense of situational awareness about him, and took it upon himself to fix it! He personally followed up with the customer and effectively managed expectations. And it was apparent that he trained his staff to take ownership in their mistakes, and had the waitress come and apologize. There are somethings that can be taught, but«Genuinely Good Customer Service» I tend to believe that’s in your character, and Greg demonstrated that today! Thank you Greg! ps. And Yes, I still left a $$ tip for what would be the estimated 20% of the bill. :-)

I hadn’t been to an IHOP in years. Our usual go to for breakfast takeout is Country Waffles. They were closed today for Labor Day so we went with this IHOP instead. So glad I did! Their menu has way more items then Country Waffles. It was so hard to decide on something. I ended up going with the spinach and mushroom omelet covered in hollandaise sauce with a side of hash browns and bacon. The fiancé got the hearty ham and cheese omelet. First of all, the waitress who answered the phone was very pleasant. I didn’t have to repeat myself like I usually do at other places. She gave me her full attention. When we went to pick it up, I couldn’t believe how packed it was! That’s obviously a very good sign. Means they’re doing something right. When we went to pay I was surprised by how inexpensive the bill was! They give you a ton of food. Very good deal. The risk you run getting takeout is that the quality and portion size isn’t what it should be. But again, I was pleasantly surprised. The omelet was huge and stuffed with spinach, onions, mushrooms and swiss cheese. The hollandaise sauce was absolutely delicious. They put the hash browns in separate containers, which I appreciated. This is most definitely going to be our new weekend breakfast spot. Bye Country Waffles!

Nothing I hate more than artificial waiting. Half the restaurant was empty yet everyone was told it would be a 15 – 20 minute wait. Names are hand written and in this case, the person in the red shirt«forgot» which David was in line first… Since he just hastily wrote«David» and«2» next to both lines. Not like«David» is a common name… Right? Luckily, both David’s were courteous and and acknowledged which came first. Side note: as I am sitting here waiting for the waitress to come by(it’s been 5 minutes) the table next to ours feels like a jungle gym. Yes. Feels like a 4.0 on the Richter Scale. But, no stars deducted for this! This is a family restaurant after all. Just be prepared for screaming kids and ones running around. :) I would say this location is particularly family friendly! Anyway, it’s now been 30 minutes since I first stepped into the establishment, 10 additional mins after sitting down before my order is finally taken. Again, artificial scarcity. Plenty of tables. Plenty of servers. Just poor management of crowds. Potential fire hazard at the entry way because you’ve got 9 people in the waiting area and the remaining half of the restaurant lining up(out the door) to pay for their meals. They need a lesson in crowd control or maybe, since they usually do not get a crowd on a Saturday morning, they couldn’t adapt? Also, going back to the handwritten list: it’s fine so long as you have one person controlling it. On two separate occasions, people who came in later were seated immediately as the red shirt was busy taking payments and the servers became greeters: circumventing the list. The response to angry customers who got cut in line? «I’m sorry but I was just about to show you to your table, please follow me.» Note to corporate: if you are reading this, do not attempt to extrapolate which day, what time and who the red shirt is. It is not Markus’ fault that he has been set up to fail. Revisit your branding guidelines as it relates to this particular store and come up with a better way to train or staff your employees. Lastly the food: eggs, tasteless. Bacon, way too salty(like its been held onto in the fridge too long and the salting process was allowed to continue). Hash browns were obviously made in bulk and cut to size from a pan(hash browns should not be served in a perfect square). The double-dipped corn flakes concoction is a great idea, however, please refrain from using 3 week old corn flakes. Contrary to populate belief, your customers can taste the difference between fresh and stale cereal and no matter how much strawberry lemonade cream you dollop on top, your foundation still lacks the crunch of fresh cereal. Thanks for the reminder why I haven’t been to an IHOP in over a year. See you in 2016… Maybe.

We came here for breakfast at around 9:50am. We ordered double blueberry pancake, a kids meal jr. waffle & chicken and Crepes. We we’re so disappointed that we had to wait for almost an hour for our food. Our food was served at around 10:40am. They we’rent so busy at that time… I just thought maybe they have only 1 cook that is also working as a dishwasher or he was only using 1 camper burner to cook all foods?. We are not going to iHop again…

Really good for a chain restraint! Every time I go here, I get greeted by the same sweet waiter(I forget her name)! She is amazing and every time we come here, we make sure to give her a good tip! The service is great from the counter and the food is prepared very quickly! I love having their chocolate chip pancakes and their chicken and waffles are really good! I also love the variety of syrups they offer! I love IHOP!

I wish I could give I 0 stars. Hopefully with enough bad reviews it will go away. They tried to seat us by the screaming kid, but I had them move us. The waiter came to do the silverware drop and disappeared for-EVER, I finally went to the owner and begged for someone to take our order… I asked for 2 glasses of water, but that never happened… My rev. STAYAWAY !!!

Received a call from their customer service dept a couple days after the initial issue. The lady I spoke with said that they would send a certificate for our next visit. It’s been over a month and I have not received anything or heard back from them about this. Apparently their customer service is just as bad as the service in their restaurant.

What can I say about this restaurant. This girl named Mandy was an awesome server. Fast to get the food out great tasting quality of the food. Orange juice was a little pricey but it was very good. Issue with this place is just parking. Will be back to see this Mandy girl.

$ 7.99 for four sausage/bacon pieces, two eggs, hashbrown and half(gross) waffle. Not good. Not good at all. Expensive. Greasy. I asked for blueberry waffle, and all they did was pour blueberry sauce over it. Ick. So not returning. EVER.

I lived in Walnut Creek close to 4 years before I realized we have an IHOP in town. Maybe because it’s further down N. Main Street and not an area I started frequenting until some additional grocery and gym options opened down this way. This IHOP is much smaller than any other location I’ve been so I purposely stay away during peak weekend and breakfast hours. Each time I’ve come, it’s been after 2 and we were seated right away. For me, IHOP is the place to go after a long hike and you just want some simple, reliable omelets, pancakes or other basic«breakfast for lunch or dinner» options. It’s not haute cuisine and yes it’s probably cheaper to make the same dishes at home, but there is something oddly comforting and extra delicious about their egg and pancake dishes. They have«lite and fit» options, but really, if you’re coming to IHOP, who’s looking at THAT menu? I like their build your own omelet option and I stuff it full of veggies and sometimes will even have them make it with egg whites only-they look at me funny, but that’s okay. Their pancakes are universally tasty and I am big fan of their pumpkin pancakes each autumn. Service has always been quick and friendly, no complaints there. Food is reliably average all the time. It’s not the kind of place I get super excited to go to, but it’s an easy choice when my boyfriend and I are hungry from a day out hiking and need to know we’ll leave full and satisfied.

I didn’t even know this IHOP existed, but we stopped by one day when I didn’t have work until the afternoon. I tried a fajita omelette(pretty good, actually — loved the veggies), and my husband got the crêpe special mostly because he wanted a big plate of ham and eggs(they do poached eggs here very well — kudos to them). They did have to swap the crêpe out because they gave us the wrong fruit, but no big deal. The wait staff was decent and normally I would give it four stars, but because this place is small, but packed, I think the time you’re waiting for food is much longer than normal. And there’s no ambiance to speak of here, which isn’t there fault — but there are much more spacious, welcoming IHOPs to go to.

The fam bam and I had planned on coming here on Christmas Day but they were closed. So 2 days later we went! We were excited about their special holiday menu, and had: CLASSICHAMDINNER — $ 9.99 Hickory-smoked ham glazed with sweet caramel sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Salad on the side. My favorite thing about this dish was that the mountain of mashed potatoes came with a deep pool of butter! Loved that! The ham was ok. I mean, it was cut thin and therefore tasted a tad over cooked and chewy. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the best ham either. I liked the sweet caramel taste though. The broccoli was cooked to MY perfection: soft, haha. So that was easy to eat and tasty for my vegetable liking! Salad is… well salad. Can’t complain :) It held me over from starvation because the food took awhile to come out, which is understandable since it was the busy holiday season! EGGNOGPANCAKES This is why we came here! This holiday special is eggnog cream with cinnamon and nutmeg layered between 2 buttermilk pancakes. This was crowned with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, butter rum flavored sauce(which I couldn’t really taste), and whipped topping. My dish didn’t look like the photo, and I felt there wasn’t enough of the eggnog cream, so I asked for som extra on the side! Boy is that eggnog cream good! It really had that rich eggnog flavor. pretty much an eggnog turned custard! Its like the best of both worlds! The pancakes were good as usual, and I wish I had just ordered a cup of eggnog cream to go to just eat like pudding. BERRYBERRYBRIOCHEFRENCHTOAST — $ 8.49 This dish looked more amazing than it tasted. The french toast part was pretty mediocre, but the fruit topping was delightful! I ate it all and left the brioche. I was curious to how this dish tasted, and so I ordered it, and I do not regret it! COUNTRYFRIEDSTEAK Your standard good-enough go-to dish that was literally fulfilling. My eggs were over easy and therefore perfect to my liking, and the country fried steak was deep fried, yummy and topped with a wonderful rich white gravy! Hash browns were good but I forgot to request it be extra crispy. Overall a great dish! The highlight of this food trip would have to not only the copany I was with, but our server, Super Mama(Leslie). She is just the sweetest ever! She really made us feel like we were taken care of and with extra love! She is just delightful and I can see how hard working she is! Her service was exceptional, and I“d like to come back here just to see her! I love IHOP :)
