Thank goodness this spot is literally high five distance from my condo. Went for the first time today and got the Hot ‘T’ with avocado added on Dutch bread. Sooooo good! Even gave me a free cookie to go. 5 stars for quick service, yummy sandwhich and walking distance!

The Manager/Owner JP is awesome. She’s handling customer service AND training(2) new people and all with a smile. That’s amazing. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to keep my self together. Mr. Pickles store looks a little rag tag. Too many sticker products on the Windows and its a bit awkward. You walk in, directly to the check out area. It doesn’t give a leisurely feel to check out the menu. But, the place is pretty much for guys anyway so, I think they have that market covered. And, in order Roget a frequent buyer points, you have to AFTERWARDS and get on your computer to process it. So keep your receipt. That right there, lost a star for me.

If you want a good sandwich go to IKE’S. If you already hate sandwiches and your wallet go to Mr. Pickles. After seeing multiple locations around the bay area and needing something to eat for lunch I decided to try out Mr. Pickles. They do not have their own parking lot and there are only 2(or 3) metered spots at a very busy intersection so your best bet is to park over in the DMV lot. While walking through the front door I instantly notices a smell that I can’t really describe but it almost made me leave with out even looking at the menu. The inside of this location looks dirty and a bit run down. I ordered the Tom Turkey with sourdough bread, turkey, bacon, lettuce, mayo and mustard and my boyfriend ordered the Manhattan. I noticed a few things while they were making the sandwiches. 1. the employees are all wearing gloves which would be good if they didnt use the same gloves to clean and touch everything as they do to make the sandwiches. 2. the bacon looked like it was uncooked until the lady making my sandwich put it in the microwave for a few seconds. 3. there are dirty rags sitting on the counter where they make the sandwiches. My sandwich reminded me of cafeteria food. I only ate a few bites then had to throw it out. It was really bland and tasted a bit off. A little while after eating the sandwich I started feeling sick. I will never go back again. The only plus was the free chocolate chip cookie which was ok at best. $ 10 for two half sandwiches.

Pretty darn good pickles. I mean sandwiches. Normal priced sandwiches. A decent selection of items. Seating inside. No seating outside. Street, metered, parking. Friendly service.

Great sandwiches! My favorite is the Mr. Pickle. Do allow for some time to get your food. Easier to order ahead and pick up, else you will be there a while during the lunchtime rush. Oh, and their dutch crunch bread is incredible.

Amazing sandwich! Good alternative of Subway. I tried wheat bread which was amazing. 1 star less because they could have added eggs as well in their menu. There is no free parking around the restaurant so you have to park in DMV if it’s weekend or you can go to target for free parking.

This place is super crappy. First time I went I really liked it. I ordered the club and it was huge! Definitely worth the money and had plenty of bacon. Went in today and ordered the same thing; greasy, dark haired guy seemed bothered I was coming in 30 mins before closing. Asked for to go and as I open the sandwich at home I realize how much smaller it is… Like missing a whole layer of bread… and has no bacon… None. So I won’t be back. This really seemed like a place that would be consistently good but that is a huge difference in product. I have no problem going somewhere else for a good sando. Bye Pickles

Well… this place is… pretty decent. Actually… it’s *really* good. I enjoyed both times I’ve been there immensely… and the only reason this isn’t a five star is that both times all the people behind the sandwich bar seem to forget that people need to pay for their food also. With every employee prepping for sandwiches and making sandwiches and getting things… for sandwiches… there’s no one to accept payment for sandwiches. That needs to change, because no matter how good your food is, there’s only so much that can be put up with before people refuse to come in…

I’ve never had a bad sandwich from this place! My favorite is the«hang loose»…yum. Great customer service. A little on the pricey side but worth it if you want a quality sandwich.

For a $ 9.00 sandwich I expected more. I ALWAYS order turkey sandwiches and this turkey just tasted off. I ended up picking ½ off it off and throwing it away. I don’t think heating deli turkey is the way to go, just my opinion I think it made it smell unappealing The jalapenos on it were not peppers at all there was a bunch of tops and a couple mangled bits. Guy forgot the tomatoes altogether. It was a to go order, or I would have absolutely returned it! I was already back at work by the time I opened it to have a bite. To top it off, girl behind the counter was not very pleasant. I had a couple of questions since I hadn’t been there in several years and she was short, and came off as irritated. Not good customer service all around. Not to mention parking is a big issue. Won’t return

I never give 1 star ratings… but this place gets one from me. I had high hopes since I’d heard good things about Mr Pickles and its right near my work. I ordered a pastrami sandwich, and it was absolutely terrible. The pastrami tasted like some over-processed lunch meat you get packaged at the store. The rye bread was not like any other rye I’ve ever tasted before, and it was soggy and limp rather than toasted and crunchy like it said it would be. I cant recall any time prior that I have thrown away food that I paid for – if I bought it, I’ll eat it. Not this. I tossed it in the trash a few bites in. Made my stomach hurt. Never again. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other delicious sandwich places in Walnut Creek instead.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now. I never had the time before since they close at 5:00PM. Working only feet away has made this lunch finally happen. The place is small but with a good number of seats inside, plus I’m sure I spotted one or two outside. We were helped right away by some very friendly employees. I ordered the #2 Hang Loose which comes equipped with: Pastrami, cream cheese spread, avocado, shredded lettuce, tomato, and onion. You get your choice of bread and I went with the Dutch Crunch. Yes, it messed up my mouth pretty good, but the taste was so worth it. The pastrami was juicy, tasty, and sliced pretty thin. The addition of cream cheese and avocado was a welcome one. On top of the pretty amazing sandwich free cookies were also given. Overall I’m glad this little shop from heaven is only feet away from my work. P. S. There is A LOT of Mr. Pickle merchandise and pride. Don’t believe me? Check out the bathroom art.

Came here for lunch yesterday and I’d have to say it was just ok. I ordered the«Broadway» which is one of their local favorites. Turkey and avocado on a sweet roll. It was alright– could have been better if they would have added more sauce to it. The husband ordered the«Mr Pickle» which was cooked chicken and avocado/bacon. I shared half of his and was pretty impressed. Three stars goes for the cleanliness of the place. The tables weren’t wiped down and the seat cushions had crumbs on them. Staff was friendly and quick with making the sandwiches. Better than most sandwhich spots. Parking out front is metered so bring your change!

Big Jake, turkey, avocado and cream cheese. Pretty good but I think the Mr. Pickles is better. This place is much better than other sandwich shops. Only issue is it takes some time to get your sandwich.

First time eating here at Mr. Pickles and we are glad we went. Parking is metered and on the street and I could see this being an issue on busy days. We went on a Saturday around 2 and parking wasn’t a problem at all. Pay the meter everyday beside holidays that it states on the meter itself. The meter takes change only like most others. Look out for meters that are paid by others and have leftover time. Staff was very welcoming when we walked in. The guys behind the counter making sandwiches seemed like they were working hard to keep up with the flow. We got 4 sandwiches, 3 drinks, and 3 chips for just under $ 50. They offer complimentary chocolate cookies too that are decent. There is 1 table outside to eat for a couple or there are plenty of tables inside including barstool a along the window. Sandwiches are large and very filling. They come on sandwich rolls that are tasty. We got The Mr. Pickle and their Turkey, Bacon, Avocado both with everything on them. We got them on sweet rolls. Chicken seemed like it came from a store package, but very tasty. Melted cheese was a great addition to the chicken. Chips are kettle chips which are perfectly crispy and salty.
