Good food. Better than others in rhis office complex. And the salad bar is a really good value.

I really like this place because the food is consistent, the staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Appearance: The place is spacious, with plenty of people coming in an out whether from work or just visiting. I have been here a few times, and it is always a clean place to eat. They do a good job keeping everything tidy. Taste: The taste of everything was alright when I first started coming here about a year and a half ago. Everything now is bland, greasy, and questionable. Everybody I know stopped coming here whether it was for food quality reasons, health reasons, and/or kitchen cleanliness reasons. I had eggs here a while ago out of desperation and I saw a tiny piece of eyebrow hair. Menu: Burritos, falafael, salads, deli items, plenty of cold drinks, snacks, breakfast items, etc. Their menu is pretty expansive for what it is worth. Customer Service: The staff is nice, friendly, and quick. Overall: As some people say they have a niche of being next to work offices, so this place is convenient for workers who just don’t have time to eat. Personally, I rarely come here because I do not want to. Unless you work in the area there is no legitimate reason that you can provide to want to come here for a meal.

If you like sandwiches and salads with the absolute LOWEST-GRADE meat & cold cuts that are legal to sell… then come to Murphys! I work in the office building next door so I’ve given this place more than a few chances and each time it’s terribly disappointing. Imagine ordering a sandwich at Arbys, realizing what a mistake you made, offering it to your dog and watching him refuse it. That’s about the quality of chicken, turkey, roast beef and other meats that you’ll get at Murphy’s. Hey Murphys — a few suggestions: — Don’t confuse your busy lunch hours with a loyal customer-base. I’ve talked to at least 20 people in my office alone who describe your food as «disgusting» «inedible» «last resort» or «you actually went there?!» So I’m not alone on this one. Your business only survives because of its proximity to a large business park and that’s nothing to be proud of. Imagine how much busier you’d be if people didn’t feel this way?! — I know profit margins are small in the restaurant industry and every cent counts but if you decide to start giving a damn, try focusing less on quantity and more on quality. The fact that you have 4 different sandwich menus is not impressive. What would be impressive is if you suddenly decided to take pride in your product and stop serving plastic rat meat.

Located within the office buildings, makes it very convenient when you are there. They have alot of selection. When you enter, it’s a bit confusing on what you do order as there are so many different spots and you gotta look-up to see the signs on what to do. And even though they give you a number(ticket) they may instead say what you ordered. But the food was good — I had the lunch burrito special which was different as they put the french fries in the burrito with the steak. It was very tasty. Another time I had the chicken salad sandwich which was good. Alot of selection of drinks, snacks, salad bar, soups, chili, sandwiches, grilled items, daily specials, wraps and great hot tea selection — Mighty Leaf! If you need to grab a bite to eat in this area, this is a good choice!

This is a very cool place. The location is very quite. Professional people all around. The food from the salad bar is reasonable priced too.

Let’s do a quick and dirty review of this place COMEGETSOME. As I work in the same plaza where its at, this place is *very* convenient to pick up a bite or a quick drink from the cooler. Plus side: They have a lot of choice, and anything they make is pretty good. Grill, salad, sandwiches; very good. Lots of variety in everything. Minus side: This place is expensive; even the prepacked goods are pricey which is a bit of a downer… its obvious they’re taking advantage of location. And with a few better restaurants around the corner and a Target nearby… if people put in the effort, a snack or a meal is a lot cheaper to get near. Stars for convenience, and I like having breakfast there. Croissant sandwiches are tasty. Just be aware; the lunch rush is *the* slow death. Enjoy your wait, but afterwards, happy eating!

The food and selection is overall very good. The problems I’ve had is with the grill. When I’ve asked for no mayo or no onions, it’s hit or miss if they get it right. This place is fairly pricey and this is where the belly rewards program can help save some money when you check in. The problem is the Internet on many occasions does not work. For the past two days I’ve tried to redeem my free lunch, but their Internet only allows you to check in, but will not allow you to redeem your rewards. The combination of price, hit or miss with special orders, and being unable to redeem rewards with the belly rewards program outweighs the positives with food selection and quality of food.

I ordered the chicken wrap with fries and a drink. The chicken wrap was good and was bigger than it first appeared. Fries are made fresh as well. They also have a niche as their aren’t many places to eat here without driving.

Pretty good for an office building lunch type place. The wraps are good(lamb shwawerma is very spicy) but I always default to the salads. Especially the Santa Fe

I love this place. Its Turkey Supreme sandwich is amazing. I would them breakfast and lunch. It has just enough crunch and lots of tasty turkey. Yum.

I’ve had only good experiences with this place, foodwise. It’s nothing spectacular, but of the lunch options in the complex, this one has the most variety. Sometimes that’s a good thing, sometimes not. I tend towards their falafel wrap, because that’s always a good thing. The thing that does not impress me is the ordering process. If you come out before or after the lunch rush, you’re fine. But if you’re there when everyone else is… you’re stuck in an awkward, totally unnecessary line for both ordering and pickup and the menu boards are scattered in multiple spots(it took me several visits before I saw the last one). The signage says to order at different spots for different things, but that also seems totally puzzling, given how they’re staffed. I haven’t had problems with it, but at some point, they need to renovate and fix their ordering/pickup/payment system. If this place gets crowded, they’ll likely have people standing around trying to order food, and probably just leaving to find a simpler place out of frustration.

While the food options here are seemingly limitless, the cleanliness is certainly not. I’ve actually seen the older man behind the counter, take his share of the tips with gloves on, not change the gloves and continue taking orders and preparing food. Handling money and making food right after… no. On a separate and recent occasion, the younger man who handles the grill was preparing food with gloves on(good), but then took bites of his own food with the same gloves on and didn’t bother changing them. Besides the lack of cleanliness, the salad you get as a side often has old and really gross looking lettuce from the spring mix. I literally have to stop every other bite to pick out the disgusting old greens. The lines, as others have mentioned, are also a disaster. They have 3 different ordering areas, but not really anywhere to wait. The only thing I will go back for here is the coffee since they serve Peet’s and I can see the espresso machine they use, and I’d go back for a pre-packaged snack.

The constant overcharging is getting out of hand. I would say 9 out of 10 times if you check the receipt its wrong. And they don’t offer a receipt, you need to ask for it. Today they made me a southwestern chicken salad with rotten avocado and curry flavored chicken… Yes Curry Chicken… Most likely from yesterdays special. This place deserves no stars.

Murphy’s is one of the wackier deli offerings in this Walnut Creek office building cluster. For the record, I originally typod ‘wankier’, though that is a fitting description as well. To wit… Their menu is MASSIVE, and all written on chalkboards high up on the wall. Their ordering line is usually a confusing clusterf*ck, as there are signs that say Order Here for Grilled, with another steps away that says ‘Order Here for Deli’. It’s not generally clear if the folks standing around are menu surfing or just waiting for their order — and that goes for the employees too. Today 1) I stepped out of line to peruse their 100ish item menu and some guy stood behind me assuming I was the line, and 2) after I ordered and waited in the spot that made the most sense, I felt eyes on me and looked over to see an employee staring me down, and she finally said«CAN I HELPYOU???» I already ordered, lady — calm the hell down. Their massive menu implies the obvious, that there isn’t really any one meal or even type of cuisine they do especially well. I’ve popped in twice now and ordered meals that sounded tantalizing on the menu. Their Blue Cheese Rib Eye sandwich was sliced beef(that could easily have been standard roast beef, nothing stood out flavor-wise to qualify rib eye), lettuce, tomato, onions and blue cheese shmear. It sounded amazing, looked halfway decent, and tasted like an overpriced roast beef sandwich. Their Chicken Caesar wrap is made of shredded lettuce drowning in what they call Caesar but sure tasted mayo based, pre-cooked chicken reheated on a Panini press(more on that shortly), my choice of wrap flavor(which was nice — I went for whole wheat) — and then tomato and olive. Huh? The last thing I want from a deli is a reinvention of the wheel. And that grilled chicken, already cooked, sat on the Panini press for at least 3 minutes and at one point the gal making my sandwich walked by and practically jumped up and down smashing the grill down on the chicken. It’s already dead, ma’am. One final straw is they are very inconsistent in their pricing, everyone I know has been rung up incorrectly — plus if you order your food to go, you pay less. They also have a stack of plastic cups set up to grab water to save a little dough. One thing I will say about this place is they deliver on variety in nearly every way — so many drink, sandwich, chip, granola bar, candy, etc. options. You could probably eat here every day for a year and not have the same meal twice. I can’t in all confidence say I especially enjoy what I’ve had here — it’s just nothing special. Caffe California remains the best deli in this area, but Murphy’s stands out for offering hot items. So they’ll keep my OCCASIONAL business.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Murphy’s has gone down hill. Recently they had yet another staff change and I wish they could bring the old staff back. The girls there all extremely rude. The girl who is now on the grill is awful, Juan was a much better cook and so friendly. The cashier isn’t any better, they put out this tacky sign«sexy people tip» it is unprofessional and rude. Salad bar is blah selection is small, a lot of premade salads that if you don’t have it on Monday they look old or they are sitting in a ton of water. Ranch dressing is no longer on the salad bar you have to fight through the grill line to ask for it. You have to earn a tip. They also have been raising prices. I think they forget they are surrounded by business, 2 other delis and now food trucks people can go else for tastier food. STAYAWAY!

This place has decent food(hamburgers, sandwiches, salad bar), with nothing all that special. If I didn’t work in the building across from it, I would not be coming here for lunch at all. The cashier has overcharged me on numerous occasions, to the point that I think she is doing it on purpose. She would insist that she made no mistake, and when I asked the manager once, the manager quickly refunded me. Granted, yes, we’re all working people here in the complex who frequent your sandwich place for lunch, but come on. Don’t be sleazy about it.

Great place when you don’t feel like driving anywhere for lunch. A great little salad bar and they have lots of items on menu for whatever you might be craving. I only tried the salad bar that was good. It had a a few pre made pasta salads, spinach salad, caprese salad, fruit salad and a build your own. I will go back to try their sandwiches. I believe they have wraps, hamburgers, gyros and bagels… Breakfast items as well. Not amazing food but I really have no complaints.

When I’m at hungry at home(Concord) I work on trying all the taquerias around: taco takeover goal! When I’m hungry at work(WC) i work on trying all the little sandwich places: deli domination goal. Murphy’s Deli is definitely not a little sandwich place like the name suggests. They have one of the biggest menus(which is written, somewhat inconveniently, on their walls) of any deli I’ve ever been to. Hot lunches, soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, fried food, snacks, and so much more. I really wanted to try something like the chicken tenders or jalapeño poppers, but ended up at the salad bar. While the salad bar isn’t as big as say, Fresh Choice, it has a ton of selections. I think when it comes down to it, I don’t like very much lettuce in my salad. I want all the goodies that go on top, dipped in dressing. This salad bar is terrific. You pay by the weight and I had a pretty full container, including dolmas and other heavy-weight items. My total including iced tea: only $ 11.49! Good deal. My lunch date and I walked over to the hot sauce station and I lathered my lunch in several different flavors and colors of spicy goodness. We then went outside where we enjoyed a nice breeze, great seating, a view of the pretty plaza, and easy bins for recycling our food waste, plastic waste, and general garbage all separately. There’s really something for everyone here. I love that it’s close to where I work. I’ll be back! PS — Ask them about«Belly» at the register. It was a quick registration and you earn points when you eat there and other participating places. The girl in front of me was getting a free soda and told me she loves the rewards.

This WC Deli is pretty delicious. I’ve found that they have the most variety too and it is cheaper than the other local deli’s. I would recommend eating the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich or the BLTA, both are delicious. Also the guy that makes the sandwichs is ridicuously quick and never gets my order wrong.
