Here’s an antiques shop with REAL antiques and a bucketload of charm. Off the beaten track and well worth a destination visit, it’s a house with many rooms and many dealers, all of them knowledgeable and friendly. There are SO many cool things to give personality to your home or to someone else’s(great for special and specific gifts). Nothing blah here. They also have magical antique Christmas décor and ornaments which are really hard to find these days!(and homemade lemon bars at the Open House)…I highly recommend this special store!

After a visit to the exotic veterinary office across the street with my fluffy little bunny, I walked over to this adorable home-turned-antique-store. I have driven past it countless times and never noticed it before! The woman at the front desk was happy to tell me about the home without me even asking — she was friendly and I enjoyed hearing her talk about some of the items, the rooms of the house, and also upcoming events. I even signed up for their email list(something I almost never do). I didn’t find anything I wanted(well, nothing that was in my budget) — there were a couple cute animal items, lots of things I could fall in love with but nothing I couldn’t live without. I’ll have to return in a few weeks and see what’s new! They’re having a big spring party soon and will even have items outside that you can walk around and check out. The house itself is pretty neat! It’s old age really shows in the design, especially the super low ceilings in some of the rooms. Watch your head!

On a whim I stopped in here while I was early for an appointment. Parking is very precarious. I parked along the side of the building but you can park on the street in front. I was very warmly greeted by a woman sitting behind the desk in front. There was a sign that said«no large bags or purses». I have a giant purse because I carry my camera in it. She didn’t say anything to me. I’m glad because I never leave my camera alone in my car. It’s on me always. The building is actually a 100 year old home that’s been converted into the antique shop. The rooms have a wonderful flow to them. Some of them are a little over packed and you have to really look at everything. I really didn’t find anything until the woman asked if I’d seen the bathroom. Yes, their bathroom has things to look at and buy as well. That’s where I found my purchase. It was a small, what I thought, was a devil faced ceramic piece, with a gaping mouth, that had New Orleans, LA scratched on the back. It was small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. I immediately fell in love with it. Plus, the price was reasonable. I just wanted it. So I asked the woman working what it was exactly. She said it was a «Smoker». Back in what I like to call«The Day», you would put your lit cigarette in it open mouth and smoke would come out of its nose. It was even cooler than I thought. She told me it was a French bulldog face but I certainly didn’t see that I saw a devil and I wanted it. It now holds my Blue E-cigarette and hasn’t had any real smoke going through it. But I love it. They also had vintage quilts. One of which I wanted so bad but it was way out of my budget at $ 400. I also saw some antique candy molds that I’m going to try and come back to see for gifts in the future. There’s a lot of cool stuff here. They theme a lot of the rooms for holidays and the time of year. So you’ll always find different things.

Prices are a little high but theres a lot of cool stuff in here. I like the old house, just as fun to look at as the stuff inside. Knowledgable collectors and some very unique period pieces.

Very poor customer service. That’s all I will say. I will never go back.

I strolled in here with my mother once while she was on her«lets buy old things» kick. This place made me a little sad. It’s an old house from like the olden days. The bedrooms, bathrooms and everything has been re-vamped to be a showroom. But it’s kinda sad because it’s a beautiful old house and even for someone who doesn’t think much of restoring old things, it comes off family-less and lonely. As to the actual objects they sell, my mother didn’t find anything she liked and neither did I. That poor house still makes me sad though :(
