Crowded, stuffy and snobby people galore. If you’re a free spirit with no expectations, this place probably works for you. I honestly think it depends on the service you get… I’ve had great service there and really bad. This place is a toss up!

On NYE the DJ played main stream hits mostly. I mean, I could have put in the radio and heard the same music. The bartenders is what really saved this place. They were fast, friendly, and drinks were made pretty good. The bathrooms are EXTREMELY tiny, the VIP area and treatment were sub par, and the DJ this night, could have been replaced by better. But overall experience here was ok. Would I come again, well you basically get in at a good price and you get what you pay for. The bouncers although. Stated they ARE above the law. Really?! Lol

This place a joke went out with my wife for drink and dancing. Some girl hits my wife in the back of the head for some unknown reason, security was complete assholes didnt do anything other than kick us out. Total bullshit I hope this place shuts down. Total ghetto place don’t spend your $$$ here. Rather go to the city and party out there we feel much safer there in our home town.

This place only deserves a 1 star because the other bar tenders were nice and friendly. HOWEVERRRRR !! The bartender who so called himself the«manager» there. was SOOOOORUDE ! and he is a total asshole. I never asked for his name nor do i care for his name. He was a pale-ish guy. Shoulder length hair tied into a small pony tail(more like a rats tail). This was my last stop walking around downtown walnut creek having a good time with my girlfriend. I walked in thinking it was really dead but it looked nice cause of the décor and all even though there weren’t much. This place also had a DJ. So this unprofessional«manager» was training the new guy on the night of October 8th, 2015. He was nice to my friend but to me, he was a jerk from the moment he started talking to me. My friend was making jokes about me but thats what we do, we joke around to each other. However, he thinks he can just join the convo and eavesdrop and just say whatever he want. He called me a «Evil Bitch.» FIRSTOFALL, a Guy should never call ANY woman a Bitch. I was nice enough to let it slide. But he kept talking down to me the entire night. So I’m like, you know what, I’m out. FUCKYOU. I hope you eventually get fired ! or demoted. What i really should’ve done is not only should i just toss my drink at him, but throw the entire cup WITH the drink into his immature face THEN bounce. Never coming here again. Didn’t think there would be any form of night life in Walnut Creek but then I stumbled upon Redux Lounge. I’m from Seattle and I we do things a little differently but here’s my experience. Right before the entrance to the lounge there’s a huge canvas against the wall with«Redux Lounge» printed all over it. I thought it was a neat that we could take«celebrity red-carpet» type pictures but then I noticed what appeared to be vomit stains on the canvas. Umm. Once you enter, to your right you have the bar, some round tables, and outdoor seating. Then to your left there’s a huge dance floor in a warehouse. I wasn’t really digging the sound quality in there. The intensity of the sound was making my chest hurt. Now don’t get me wrong I can do loud music and do enjoy going out to clubs and such but this place was making me uncomfortable. The dj kept it safe with mainstream music but I didn’t now how to get down to Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift. If your looking for a place to get loose and go wild this is it.

This is a fun place. i dont complain about $ 10 covers because people should want to pay if somewhere is convient and have a dj. bathroom is not cool. vip is ok. i dont drink and i dont dance in cages, but they have both available. decent looking crowd, decent music & a cute entry is good enough to go to if u want to put on something cute and kick it with your girls. They do have beautiful bottle service girls and I like the police in front for added safety.

The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is because of the people I was celebrating with. Second reason I was able to get in without my i.d. The music was good but the DJ was walk at mixing the music and would only leave a song on for a minute. The bart ending was horrible tasted like juice instead of cranberry and vodka. The dance floor was closed off until 11 and they wouldn’t let you see it. LOL I WOULDNEVERGOBACK. Happy I didn’t have to pay to get in.

I dont understand why Unilocal has no «0» stars. DON’T SPENDYOURMONEYHERE! NEVERCOMEHERE! EVER! I ordered a Hennessy & coke, and it tasted like some cheap a$$ whiskey! And i know how Hennessy taste like. If yall are gonna fill Hennessey bottles with something else, at least put some type of Cognac! Not even from the area, & will never go back in there! Mostly dudes & music was ok, hence the 1 Star. Go get drunk somewhere else.

LMAO this place was hilarious. I wanted to see if the reviews of this place were on point and they were. Charging $ 10 for cover per person is laughable. Music was meh… this place really hasn’t changed since 10 years ago when it used to be something else. I’m not sure why as the only«club» in WC someone can’t dump some money in it and make it nice. The only positive thing was a $ 4 beer… and even then it was Bud Light.

If I could I’d rate this place a half star. 1. Music is WAYTOLOUD 2. DJ — What’s the point having a pen and clipboard to recommend a song if you dot play it??? 3. They don’t regulate the Male to Female ratio here. As I was here I felt like I was in a sausage party. 4. To much PARTYFOG. Talk about needing air. 5. The bar — way to crowded at the bar, as if it wasn’t regulated to get people in, out, and moving. 6. The Bartenders suck. This was the worst tasting Red Headed Slut I have ever had. 7. To top it off — I asked the bartender to leave the tab open, like some places they either hold the card or give it back to you. In this case she held my card and said ok everything is good and that she will give me my card when I close the tab. I went to get a red bull and she ask me for 5 dollars, I informed the same bartender that I have an open tab she said she doesn’t have a tab under my name, I told her shes holding my card, she kept denying that she has my card and that she already looked(FYI — She didn’t look for my card). She kept telling me «Do you realize how busy it is?» I kept replaying«I don’t care I want my card back or I want your boss.» as mad as she is I told her to look for the last 4 digits of my card. After about 10 mins she«Eventually» found my card. When she found it she gave me a thumbs up so I told her I want to close the tab. After 1 drink and a red bull I didn’t go back to the bar. Talk about customer service and customer advocacy, this place has none. This place is horrible and not even close to what a Definition of what a «Good Time» is. This place ruined my night. Hopefully with the information I gave you it doesn’t ruin yours.

Solely because I can have fun wherever I go that’s why this hot place got 4 stars. It wasn’t that hip, but there’s plenty of sos e to dance. Ppl start showing up around 10& the DJ really knows how to mash up songs from now all the way back to 70’s without sounding too old school. Every one that goes has smiles & dances like there is no one there. It can get a little ghetto, but that Just means there’s going to be done good dancers. Crapotta thing is that there are only two stalls for the women in restroom & there’s not much space to edit in line when ppl are passing u trying to get to one side of club to the other. Had a drink spilled on my arm. Bound to happen though when drunk ppl are crunched. Bartenders were nice, quick & that makes for a good experience. Not much of a wait. Good. There’s outdoor patio for smokers too.

This review is strictly regarding the nightclub operations. I enjoy going out dancing with my friends, and sometimes we want to go out locally without making the trek all the way into the city. unfortunately for us there really are not many options in this part of the East Bay. which brings us to Redux. This place is honestly a hit or miss, not really anywhere in between. Sometimes it is overrun with creepers, 40+ year old women dressed like they are still in their 20s, and very sloppy drunks. Other times the crowd is young, friendly, and not sloppy, which means the night can actually be a lot of fun. Some pros are that it is super easy to get on their guest list, which means free entry before 11. Most nights you will be fine getting there close to 11 and not having to wait in line. The location is prime in relation to the other bars in the area, so there is plenty nearby if you find yourself not having fun and want to hit up another spot. From the times I’ve been, the DJs they bring in have been good at catering to different tastes by playing a good mix of different music genres. The place is packed enough to not feel awkward dancing but never too packed to where you feel you can’t move around. Some cons are that the bartenders are pretty inconsistent. Some drinks are ok, some are watered down, some are way too strong, etc. Their prices are average. They are open until 2 but they start clearing the place out at 1:30. They can also be pretty strict with their dress code. Definitely not a place I would pay a cover to get in, but outside San Francisco this can be a pretty decent dance spot.

This review has two parts: As a Restaurant: I ate here once with another couple. I have to say first, that the servers were very nice and friendly, beyond the normal. I had the fish tacos. Neither of us girls liked our food. I think I didn’t like the fish tacos because they had pineapple on them and I don’t really like my food sweet. The guys liked their sandwiches(310 burgers), but said that they were very greasy. My friend didn’t like hers because all it was was fried noodles with beef on top and a red sauce that was like sweet ketchup. I thought the meals were very small and didn’t come with any sides. So we ended up ordering some house fries, which come with garlic and Parmesan cheese on them. I couldn’t taste the garlic, but they were very heavy on the cheese, which made it a bit too salty. In general, I felt they were bland for seasoned fries. As a Club/bar: I never like coming here because I’m a wine drinker only and they never have red wine. With dinner they said they had wine but they ran out already because they don’t order much of it. The best part about the club is the atmosphere. I haven’t been here in a really long time and the only reason I ever do is because they are the only club in the area I know of. Some of the music is good, but I wouldn’t say it’s great. The music is too loud to talk anywhere inside… You have to go outside to talk. It gets very crowded, being the only club. I don’t really like the crowd because most of the girls seem stuck up. I normally don’t post negative reviews, but after many visits I felt compelled to share my thoughts in hopes of improvement.

Yvette us a terrible server. Tried to give me a hot water that was sitting on the bar in front of a bunch if drunk old men. When I asked for fresh water she argued with me. I guess if you want a laced water and poor service come here. The dance floor is big but the«dj «switches up songs too often and plays outdated music. I won’t be returning here.

Went to redux lounge because my first question when I enter a new town is «is there anyplace I can dance here?» The answer I received to that question was Redux Lounge. Even the way it was suggested was a good indicator of what I would find here. It was presented with shoulders shrugged. Anytime someone suggests a place with shoulders shrugged. Prepare for a crazy night. The positives. It have a dive bar feel in the drinking area but everything is decidedly a club. Given the location of Walnut creek and the fact that there seems to be nothing else out there I was pleasantly surprised. Reminded me a lot of the bars and clubs in San Antonio. The kind of place you could go to one night and have the time of your life but the next night be like why do I come to this place. They do have great hip hop playing here. A lot of top 40 and bay area but when it is actual hip hop spanning the decade I don’t complain. The dancefloor was actually open enough to dance floor. It did get crowded but it was never to the point that you were inside someones shirt. The dancefloor was hot and sweaty and just what you want from a hip hop lounge in walnut freaking creek. I was totally at the mercy of my date when I went here. I was in a town I had never been before, I had no way to get home that late at night and I only had talked to her for a hour before I went out. The hip hop distracted me and the cast of characters dancing around the dancefloor hitting on women kept me entertained for hours. There was nothing really special about the place but it is a great outlet if you are looking for dancing in this area. It can help you make bad decisions like I ended up making that night and for being the wingman I will never forgive I have to give you props Redux. Come out, get drinks, made bad decisions all while hip hop plays and people grind on each other. What more did you want in a Saturday night?

This place wasn’t ghetto enough for my tastes(per anothers review). They play much better music in Oakland! The DJ’s were absolutely horrible jumping all over the place!!! When we finally heard a song that we liked he quickly switched it, only playing the intro — who does that? I’ve walked past this place before and for some reason the music was better the night I didn’t go… again it’s all about the DJ’s! Of course I will be back because bar hopping in WC isn’t great and getting out to the city isn’t always on the agenda. I would choose this place over Crogan’s any day though. Next time I will be more intoxicated so that the filth of this place doesn’t make me uncomfortable… and will def be leaving my Gucci’s at home as everyone is quite sloppy here.

It’s a fun bar spot to drink at and hop on over to another! This place is divey and dark in all the right ways. There are tables outside to sit and chill at and watch the crazies pass by. We scored the corner booth seat and grabbed a couple beers. My first time here was last Sunday, and there’s no cover fee, no line, not crowded, pretty casual. It’s a convenient place to meet up. They have good music here and a good atmosphere for dancing. The music isn’t too loud where you can’t hear others while trying to have a conversation. This spot is good for a more mature crowd that isn’t looking to go crazy partying on the town, but mainly to get out and have a good time with great folks. Overall, it’s got a fun vibe without being a rage crazy place. It’s mellow and unpretentious, great place to spend a Sunday night. We ended up having a nice time than we had expected and will definitely come back the next time I’m in town again!
