I’m a bad Unilocaler, no update after my surgery! Well, it was a resounding success! Best decision I ever made, hands down. My behind felt much better even in recovery than it had with the agonizing fistula that I had prior. The only thing I had no idea about was the anesthesia hangover. You may feel like you have been hit by a truck for a couple of days afterward. No need to fret, as this is totally normal. Surgery is still 100% worth it. Thank you again, Dr. Oommen, for giving me my life back. I will be forever grateful!

Such great bed side manners, makes you feel at ease in a very ackward situation. Explains everything and let’s you ask questions. He is very compassionate and knowledgeable. If you have to see this type of specialist, this doctor is the one to see!

Great Surgeon! He performed a colectomy on me and created a J pouch(two surgeries) — I’m able to function normally. He always explained what he was going to do and the possible consequences. His technique was minimally invasive and resulted in quicker recovery and less pain/discomfort. I am very fortunate that Dr Oommen was my surgeon.

I agree with the best comments ever. Dr. Oommen makes you feel comfortable, and is totally aware of the body and how all of it works, and where things should be and possibly are NOT! HE is so supportive it is really unbelievable. I hope to always be his patient and that he will never ever retire or move!

If you have a condition he treats(and, hope that you don’t — his specialty is colorectal surgery) then there is NOONE better. He is skilled, smart, honest and a great practitioner.
