I would have given this place 5 stars. Our food was amazing, but my wife’s steak was cooked super well done. The server noticed, got her manager… he proceeded to talk to us very loudly. As he got closer we noticed a pretty strong smell coming off of him. Booze? Anyway, they redeemed themselves with the new steak, and the server rocked it with the birthday candles.

On Sunday, June 12, 2016, our family enjoyed a lovely brunch at Scott’s Seafood Restaurant. It was one of the best brunches I have experienced. Our server, Dio, was top notch. He was always filling our glasses with champagne, orange juice, removing dining plates and asking us if we needed anything. All the servers we interacted with were fantastic, as well. There was a server making sure there was enough food on the buffet tables and cleaning any spills from a customer. Dining at Scott’s was exceptional!!! :D

Scott’s never disappoints! The jazz trio is terrific. We sat in the bar and enjoyed the music over cocktails. Wee shared the Oysters Rockefeller appetizer. An excellent choice. I had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi and my girlfriend had the seafood sauté. Both entrees were terrific. Our server was wonderful as well. She was attentive and friendly without hovering. The ambiance, live music, terrific food and world class service makes Scott’s a «Can’t Miss» choice!

We went here to celebrate my sister’s college graduation. I want to start by saying that dinner and the service are worth 5 stars. The desert brought it down. For dinner I had the salmon, it was fabulous. It was encrusted and topped with bacon, but the salmon flavor was not overpowered, it was added to. The potatoes were perfectly prepared, garlic mash that was not too much garlic. And the steamed vegetables still had some crunch to them, had not been turned to mush. The bread and butter were even delicious. My sister had the filet and said it was cooked perfectly. My grandmother raved about the lobster tail. My sister’s boyfriend had a seafood bowl with muscles, scallops, crab, and other delicacies. The service was great. They were helpful, funny, always had a full glass. And when it was time for cake, they brought it out, showed it off, took pictures for us, and then took the cake back for cutting. The cake is why they lost the 2 stars. Now you are thinking 2 stars is a lot to lose just for a bad cake, but that is how bad it was. The cake was planned well in advanced, and the charge was not cheap. They only had one choice, so it was not like the dissatisfaction was from something we selected. There was so little cake in this cake, it shouldn’t be called a cake. The bulk of it was a butter cream frosting, and just because it is pink does not mean you can call it strawberry. It really all had no flavor. It was stale and tasted like not only had it been frozen but was only recently been defrosted and was still a bit frozen. It was pretty and had a good presentation, but if we had known that it was going to be so bad we would have arranged something else.

We went here yesterday for Mother’s Day brunch and this was by far the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The service was amazing, our waitress was just absolutely perfect, I cannot remember her name but if you are the GM reading this I was at the table with my sister Marci so you will know who our waitress was. She was so sweet to us and just on top of everything, if I had a restaurant I would steal her! Now the food, wow, amazing. I cannot wait to come back here next time I am in town visiting. Thank you guys for such a great experience, was well worth the price.

Parking is an issue on the street — I got my first ticket here! Once inside the place is classy and service is great. Selection was good and the flavor is amazing. Also received a free bottle of wine for checking in!!! The only draw back was price — two of us ordered a side salad — so we thought, but they were 11 and 14 dollars WOW — way too much for a side salad and should have been explained! This really isn’t in our company guidelines!

Still in the 80’s and just as bad! What does Benihana & Scott’s Seafood have in common? They are both still stuck in the 80’s There were literally only 4 tables including ours in the entire place and it still took 40 minutes for the appetizers to arrive. We were seated at the smallest booth in the dining room, we are both tall and there were lots of other choices available but no one cared. The side wall by the booth had all kinds of stains on it, I wondered how clean their kitchen was! Made a note on OT that we were celebrating a birthday and once again no one cared! I’m not the one that relies on restaurants to make a special occasion, special but a simple acknowledgement would have been fine. The food was mediocre at best and the service was very poor, we literally saw our waiter 4 times, taking the order, dropping off the drinks, dropping off the food and dropping off the check. We had to flag down other staff members to get what we needed, a glass of wine, bread, water, dessert. Can definitely say we won’t be coming back for another 30 years!

I gave Scott’s a 5 star rating only because of the server, Jeff. We went to Scott’s yesterday for brunch for a birthday and had a great time. Jeff made the entire experience truly memorable! He kept the champagne flowing… It was a birthday celebration and it took 4 requests to have the birthday celebration which includes a picture of the table. We kept asking and kept being ignored. We went there last year and the year before. The picture of the table they provided in past years was a 5×7…this year it was a 4×6 and it includes mostly the tops of our heads and a wonderful picture of a trash can behind us. The manager took the picture and should have done a better for the price of the brunch! Ask for Jeff! He is great!

Expensive but very good. Service was A1. Nice ambiance and, though in downtown WC it has a very nice outdoor dining area. Of course you do not get the lovely harbor view available from their Jack London Square location but you will not hear me complaining.

We have visited Scott’s in Walnut Creek and at Jack London Square and although I like them both, Walnut Creek is my favorite location. We enjoy the easy access with free valet parking in the garage with direct entrance into the restaurant. We arrive and I request a booth on the top tier. These booths are very comfortable and give much view of people watching. Old school service from long time waiters make for an enjoyable evening. We check in and see that we were rewarded with a bottle of free wine. We brought a good bottle and thus opted instead for a glass each. Bread and water come to our table and we order the Calamari as an appetizer. The calamari is bursting with flavors and does not require the need for a side of sauce. I order the crab encrusted swordfish with polenta and veggies. The swordfish has a wonderful lemon infused cream sauce and the flavor of the crab kicks it up a notch. The food was excellent. Service is spot on tonight. Our water glass never got below half full and plates were cleared in a timely manner. You can see that the servers care about their restaurant and each customer they serve. Scott’s earns 5 stars for fantastic food, excellent service, romantic atmosphere and easy access via car. This is one of favorite spots to dine.

If you want a friendly restaurant… skip this place. Place has gone downhill. 2 hostesses never smiled from the time we came in until we left. Sad. I used to love going to Scott’s for brunch and dinner. It was old school but you know you would be going to a nice place.

I was just charged $ 11.00 for a house salad(small romaine wedge, 2 slices of tomato, and 2 slices of cucumber)! Seriously?! It probably cost about $ 0.50 to make and they didn’t even cut the damn thing! Plus the plate that they served it on was so small that I could barely cut it without the salad flying off my plate and onto the table. Not cool guys. Most«house salads» cost between $ 3 – 6 bucks. My total bill was $ 33.21 for a small bowl of soup, a shitty salad, and 1 draft beer plus tip. Not worth it. On the plus side, the bartender was very nice and the Manhattan clam chowder was edible. Also, when I brought this awful salad to the attention of the manager he offered to take it off my bill. That’s not the point though. This salad should not even be on the menu. It’s total robbery! I had already paid, so I left without an adjustment.

Probably more like 4.5 stars, but I’m rounding down. I can see how this is a WC landmark, with it’s somewhat old-school styling, piano playing in the bar lounge, and $$$ menu. If you’re going to fork out this kind of dough for dinner, you’d at least hope it is good… and it is. Better yet, I wasn’t paying. As the name suggests, the feature here is the seafood and they do it well. Yes, you can find a steak or two on the menu, but you’d be remiss in not sticking with the house specialty. I take it that the menu changes up based on the chef’s whim and what is in season. The menu is extensive, and our waiter explained that the kitchen is pretty flexible with custom concoctions. A few at our table were disappointed in missing out on halibut, but it wasn’t in the cards this evening. I started with the pear and bleu salad which was a generous portion and could have easily been shared. There were several other salad/apps/soups that also looked appealing. The lobster bisque was a big hit with others at our table. For my entrée, I had the bourbon/citrus salmon which was prepared nicely, though I found the sauce a touch sweet and over powering. Not a big complaint though. I also appreciate that they pay attention to the sides instead of treating them as an afterthought. Mine came with some slice potatoes that were tender and nicely seasoned. They have an extensive dessert menu, and I liked my apple cobbler but didn’t end up hungry enough to finish it. Next time, I’d save room for the key lime pie. Service was top notch. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and unpretentious. The dining room is a bit loud given the crowds, the piano, and a group of carolers on hand that night. This is certainly a good pick for a celebration or other special occasion, especially when someone else is buying! (Review #100)

Great ambiance, and 5 star looking restaurant(for 5 star price). The wait staff was amazing and very attentive on a Saturday night. We made a reservations and were seating right away. Was very happy with their wine selection. I got the biggest lobster tail I’ve ever seen and they de-shelled it for me at the table. The fillet mignon was also excellent. My only complaint is the vegetables are not seasoned properly.

People living in the Bay Area have a special place in their hearts for Scott’s Seafood. With so many new offerings in the East Bay alone, it’s easy to pass up this«tried and true» spot for the numerous new dining options that seem to be sprouting up faster than the average foodie can keep up with. Nevertheless, Scott’s still manages to be one of the first places that come to mind when people think of a «nice dinner». It’s an ideal place for the couple that wants to get fancified; it’s hard to feel over-dressed here. The restaurant has a notable free valet parking service, which adds a nice touch to the upscale atmosphere. I’m a big fan of their rich, creamy Boston Clam Chowder, even if it tends to be light on the clams sometimes. You’ll spot older couples here, as well as the occasional business dinner. «Hip» and«trendy» are not Scott’s attributes, and that’s just fine. While other parts of Walnut Creek are starting to acquire restaurants that favor modern design, like incorporating re-purposed wood and metal into the interior décor, Scott’s is a welcome refuge that harkens back to a time of classic romance. Sitting in the piano bar is always an enjoyable experience, and their wine list is impressive. I hope this place continues to be a Bay Area tradition for years to come.

Note the three stars and note that there is nothing wrong with Scott’s Seafood Grill & Bar. I came on a Sunday night with lots of friends. The special offering that night was Prime Rib not seafood. That said the drinks were good, the appetizers were good and the crowd lively. Service was very slow but again it was a Sunday night. I’ll come back and reassess, perhaps up my stars.

Came here to try their Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet to kick off a special Sunday. It was my wife’s birthday and my Hawks are playing in Super Bowl 49! The buffet comes to just about $ 45 a person, and comes with unlimited mimosas and live jazz music. The buffet has pretty good decorations, and I found more things I liked than flaws. Service was attentive. Overall 3.5 stars for the food rounding up to four. My favorite items were: — Fisherman Stew: Lots of fish, shrimp ranging from baby to prawn sized, mussels, and scallops — all in a light, lemony broth that’s really goes well with seafood — Seafood Pot Pie: It was like a clam chowder topped with a thin pie crust, only the pie filling had assorted seafood bits and wasn’t as rich as expected. Good dish! — Paella: Its closer to a gumbo than paella, but it had bold spicy flavors and lots of seafood, especially giant-sized scallops. — Desserts were awesome, especially the chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, and chocolate coated strawberries. Overall a fun experience. Its a bit on the pricy side, and maybe worth going at least once for special occasions. They do offer free valet parking but there are also plenty of meters around the restaurant.
