So weird to see so many negative reviews on here. My husband and I swear by this place. Best pizza you’re going to find in the bay, that’s for sure. Cute inside seating. A large outside patio is also available and a play area for children. Service was great. No complaints here!

Awesome place. Service and food is always good. My family really enjoys the white sauce pizza with Chicken and Sun dried Tomatoes. They use fresh ingredients so you can taste the quality. Only downside is parking is tough.

With only one other table seated, service was scarce and slow as usual. Pizza arrived, mushrooms weren’t cooked and two toppings we ordered was missing! My once favorite pizza garden is now on my AVOID list.

Really good food yet really bad service. The place was pretty empty yet we were ignored for almost the entire time. We’re witting there with empty drink glasses and nobody ever stopped by. Took forever to get the check. We had 3 different waitresses so maybe they were confused about whose responsibility it was. But very disappointed, I’ll be hesitant about going back here

Have eaten here many times and ordered items to-go and have always found the food to be great. The pizza is tasty & fresh and the salads/side items/portions are huge. It’s not exactly NY or Chicago style pizza, I’d call it more California style(i.e. meaning somewhere in between the two). But the ingredients seem fresh and toppings not frozen, so the quality factor is high in this area. They also offer a good size beer selection and well as the usual family beverages. They have a large unique dining area with saw dust floors and lots of ambience! They also have a large outside dining patio which is great during the warmer months. Service has always been great and any orders placed arrive in a timely manner. It’s good for large groups, families, singles, couples, young, old and somewhere in between! ;-) The location is just off Main Street in Walnut Creek, and street parking is not great. There are parking garage(s) nearby but with the Lesher Center also nearby it can be tricky to find parking at peak times. But go give it a try, as our lack of a 5 star rating is ONLY for the parking situation, not for their food quality. We are very picky about our fav pizza joints, and this is in the top 5!

For years I have talked to people in the Pleasant Hill, Martinez, WC area about pizza. When I share my impressions they tell me that I need to eat at Skipolini’s. Somehow I will find a similar nirvana that I experience at Tony’s. I had not made the effort until our sports team had an end of the season gathering here. I could tell that they were making an effort to serve us properly, however they were understaffed on the floor for the number of people we brought.(Yes, we called ahead to warn them). Beverage service was slow. I can deal with the points I just mentioned. However the pizza I cannot overlook. We ordered a mushroom, bell pepper, and sausage pizza as well as the gluten free specialty. When we got the pizza the bottom was cooked, however the top was watery and cold. I think that they were just trying to crank out the pizzas so fast that they did not consider how the top was cooked. The crust looked done, so send it. Honestly it reminded me of being at a Pieology. Just a lack of care for the product. The gluten free was inedible. I am not sure the last time I returned food, but it is not something that I do. I did need to return this pizza and without much conversation it was taken off the bill. I am not sure what experiences others have had that made Skipolini’s pizza so great. I just know that I would never serve the product that I received that night. What did I learn today? In doing my family history, I have found family in Naples going back as many as 350 years. Pizza is part of my DNA.

3.5 stars We went to a birthday party here and sat in their outdoor patio area in the back. The space was great for a kid’s birthday party — lots of room to move, a small(tiny) arcade section with a small play structure, and it’s contained for younger ones. The pizza was great. I had two giant slices of their BBQ Chicken pizza, and I wish I had space to try the others. We also enjoyed some Sangria, which was pretty good as well. It would have been better if things were cleaner, especially the nook where the play structure is. Perhaps inside is cleaner. But I was happy with the food and won’t protest if someone wants to meet up here for pizza.

We’ve been here three times now and have always had a good experience. The specialty pizzas are awesome, and they have a good beer selection. If you’re feeling crazy, order your pizza ahead while drinking weird beer next door at Ol Beercafe and then hop in to grab some tasty drunk munchies! The interior space is nice, yet somehow almost always nearly empty. They have a lovely back patio as well, and they seem to corral groups with loud children back there which I am a fan of! It’s not the best pizza ever, but it is very good, and so far it’s the best I’ve found in Walnut creek. We’ve had the creamy pesto and the pepperoni. Pizza rating: Crust 10⁄10 Sauce 7⁄10 Toppings 9⁄10

I was there for a lunch special. This place is pretty empty for lunch, probably due to their location. I think their pizza for what they give you on the regular menu is overpriced. The pizza is good but it isn’t good enough to charge a high premium over other kinds of pizza. It’s not a Wood Fire Traditional Italian Pizza, it’s on par with a run of the mil local American Pizzeria, and $ 30 for Family Size Pizza just seems a tad too much. However, their lunch special is a good deal, they give you a huge slice of pizza, some garlic bread, a small salad and a couple of cookies you probably can get at the supermarket. The pizza is decent, and the other stuff is ok, but there is value there for lunch. I wouldn’t come any other time knowing their prices, but weekday lunch special is a good deal(I think it’s $ 8.75).

I was 36 weeks pregnant and… I’m still very much pregnant at 38 weeks. Lol didn’t work for me and I ate almost half on my own. Needless to say though, the pizza was delicious! Great team of people at this location which makes all the difference. Loved the outdoor seating too. No baby but definitely got my grub on. :)

Came here on a Friday night for dinner at around 8 and they were pretty empty inside. We asked to be seated out side and as soon as we walked through the doors realized that as a young couple we made a tactical error. THEREIS A PLAYGROUNDOUTSIDEINTHEBACK!!! This normally would have excited me. But I wanted to have a nice QUIET dinner. There was only one guy running the entire outdoor area so there was a bit of a wait. The host forgot to mention to the server that we were there and it was about 15 minutes before anyone realized that we existed. We watched as the server not only took orders but bussed his own tables & even refilled a sippy cup for a pretentious family who couldn’t order a water and pour it in themselves(if you are that couple and you read this: stop doing that in busy restaurants). Needless to say we ordered right away. We settled on the Creamy Pesto Pizza which had creamy pesto sauce, mushrooms, onions, zucchini, artichoke hearts and bacon. Well not so much bacon as it was bacon bits. We had a good time. However we learned our lesson and will eat in the main dining area.

I’ve been to a couple of family parties here. It’s a good place for kids because they have a courtyard in the back outside of the restaurant. My brother in law thought he had reserved a part of the courtyard for our party but apparently he didn’t because there was another group that was taken the whole outside courtyard. If we would have made a stink about it I’m sure they could have served both of our groups outside. Just a little unorganized. I guess double and triple check your reservations for large parties. The food was great. From the skip bread and skip dip to the pizzas! Lots of toppings on the Pizza. Crust was fantastic as well. Servers were good and we all went home well feed. It’s the little things that count a lot! And in some ways they don’t do the little things well. My suggestion is to improve the attention to detail. Food is awesome in spite of that though.

I came here for the labor pizza. It was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. I ate 3 amazing slices! So tasty and worth the drive. The service was amazing I forgot the guys name but he was great and omg the pizza was so good. I am still pregnant, not complaining ^^* it just didn’t work for me bc baby is probably waiting for the full moon. However, pregnant or not — go here! Their crust is amazing their flavors are super explosive and I really enjoyed it! I’m not disappointed and will return after I give birth :)

I’m staying with my very particular 89 year old grandmother who loves lots of toppings, so after looking at pictures decided to give this place a try. Called at 7:50pm for a medium 3 topping pizza for pick up. It was $ 24 and change… should have gotten a specialty pizza. I never gave my name but gave them my phone number. The guy on the other end of the line told me 20 minutes. I arrived at 8:15pm. And waited until 8:45pm. On the website it said deliveries take 40 – 45 minutes, I should have done that had I known I’d be standing around for 30 minutes. The server who was assisting me was helpful and I could tell she felt bad. I was handed a small Hawaiian pizza(not what I ordered) so I handed it back and waited for the correct one. She got a manager who was very accommodating. He offered me a drink while I waited, and gave me credit for a small pizza(that we will be redeeming). The pizza was very delicious with copious amounts of toppings which led to a very happy grandma who wants to, «phone the pizza place and tell them it was delicious». We got sausage, mushroom and black olives. One piece filled both of us up so we will be getting an individual size in the future. We will definitely be trying this place again, just hope that the wait won’t be as long again.

Was In mood for some pizza tonight and had been to the concord skipolini’s so decided to try out the walnut creek skipolini’s for the 1st time. Made the order for pick up so didn’t eat it there but when I came to pick it up this location looked very different than there other location . This location didn’t have any out side seating and the inside looked more fancy for a pizza spot. Had a nice beer selection on tap. I came near closing time to pick up and waited a long time until someone came up to help me. Not sure where the employees were, there were only 3 tables filled while I was there so not sure why it took so long for someone to come greet and help me . The pizza was made great tho, ordered The BettegaRoasted Garlic Sauce, Fresh Spinach, Light Mushrooms, Light Ham, Light Bacon, and Diced Tomatoes. You need to try this pizza !!!

Pros: Prego Pizza was tasty and my wife gave birth within two days of eating here. Plenty of space inside. Parking is easier on this side of downtown Walnut Creek. Cons: I’m pretty sure the Prego Pizza(pizza is supposed to induce labor) has a decent helping of laxatives in it. Three of us(two men and one very pregnant woman) tried the pizza and three of us ended up with a very rough night. The Olgiasca pizza was not very tasty.

hubby and i came here for a lunch event which took place on their semi-covered patio in the rear of the restaurant. i appreciated the partial covering and heat lamps considering the imminent threat of rain and cool conditions. it was a fairly large group, at least 60 – 70 attendees, so everyone was packed in fairly tightly, with several large rectangular tables pushed together… but it worked! a pizza and salad buffet was set up to the side, with fresh hot pizzas brought out every few minutes. we had a choice of the following: +plain cheese pizza +pepperoni pizza +veggie pizza(peppers, onions, olives, tomatoes, mushrooms) +combination pizza(veggie + pepperoni pizza plus sausage) +classic caesar salad +beet and chickpea salad coke and sprite were also served, and each guest was entitled to either a beer or glass of wine from the bar. while food was plentiful, i would have appreciated if the staff brought out more fresh plates since these seemed to run out quickly. some guests were so hungry that they started eating pizza off their napkins! also, the table that hubby and i sat down at didn’t have any silverware(though most tables did have forks and knives)…good thing pizza is mainly a finger food, just grab and end and start noshing! the pizzas themselves were traditional crust pizza, neither ny-style thin crust, nor chicago-style deep dish, but something in between. while the toppings were generously tossed on each pie, the taste was pretty average, good pizza, but definitely not anything that blew my taste buds away. i didn’t try the salads since i was full after three hearty slices of pizza(minus the crust since it was super thick), but i noticed that both platters of salad looked barely touched, so i’m guessing that everyone else at the party also chowed down on the pizza, like me. inside the restaurant, there are a couple of large screen tvs as well as a bar area, making this an ideal place to see a game or meet with your friends for a couple of drinks. there were also quite a few families lunching here, which means that this restaurant is suitable for all ages and multiple purposes. there’s no dedicated parking for this restaurant since it’s located in downtown walnut creek, so you’re relegated to find street parking. fortunately, we found a spot just across the street from the restaurant, so it was a short walk. meters weren’t too, too, pricey, $ 1/hour, more expensive than where i live, but definitely less than san francisco!

My family finally visited Skipolini’s. The ambiance first drew us in. We were impressed by the eclectic mix of contemporary and rustic touches to the place. On a chilly Friday night, the place was buzzing with excitement and activity. Our dinner orders came in a reasonable amount of time. Wait staff was courteous and accommodating. We ordered half Hawaiian and half salami/sausage/mushroom. Piping hot pizza was scrumptious and humongous. Massive portions of crust and ingredients just had to come back home. My family was very satisfied with our winter dining experience.

We were on the hunt for some new pizza with a high Unilocal*rating, and came across this joint. Upon entering and being led to our table, the atmosphere is pretty cool, and we go allll the way to the back and outside. To the party of screaming kids. Not just screaming at the top of their lungs, but screaming at the top of their lungs in jungle gym tube slides which face the dining area like a megaphone. I don’t know how many pounds of sugar the party of parents fed their kids before entering this place but beware Saturday nights. We ordered a large Preggo pizza. Delicious except for the shrill in our ears. I think the parents were too drunk to even notice since they were equally as loud. Seriously, the parents needed to yell to hear each other over their screaming kids.
