I am so grateful Coffee Bean is here now! Coffee Beans are all over Southern California and very popular. Home of the bomb Ice Blended. The Ice blended drink is way better than any Frappacino @ Starbucks. Their espresso is wonderful too. Do try the plentiful pastry assortment as well as breakfast burritos!!! Great work space.

I’ve been here a handful of times and each time I’ve been so disappointed with the service. There’s a tall guy that works here(never caught his name) and he always seems so annoyed and just plain rude. He never greets anyone, and on one visit I had to ask him for creamer(because the can was emptyand he rolled his eyes. It’s surprising to me because you would think that the employees would be energetic and eager to help. The first 2 times I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt… maybe he had a rough night, maybe he’s working multiple jobs… etc. After my 4th time I decided to avoid this place. He just lacks customer service skills and I think he needs to find a new job!

I wasn’t impressed with this place for a couple of reasons: — My drink was lukewarm. I got a Hot Vanilla(as opposed to a Hot Chocolate) because it sounded interesting, but I wouldn’t recommend it even if it had been hot. — They close at 8. They started shutting the place down around 7:50 and at about 8:01 they ushered us out. — They advertise 10% off coupons on their website that they«don’t have any way to take» in store(quote from the girl behind the counter). I came here because I’m not a huge fan of Starbucks, but at least they stay open until a decent hour and make hot drinks.

Diverse options for coffee. Very nice and helpful people! Zoe was really sweet to us and helped us look at the ingredients for us to be sure that nothing is allergic for me. Thanks Zoe we will be back again!

Really good ice coffee. Lots of earthy body and taste that you do not get as much from with Starbucks!

Amazing tea, it’s much better the the other coffee places in the area. Great service and this specific location is very close to where I live. Yesterday was first time I order tea… put some honey… and it’s so good. There is another thing that I learn it’s cosher food. And I know cosher it’s healthy so that’s good as well.

So do I like the coffee bean? Absolutely! They’re my second favorite after philz coffee. However, the customer service here is not that pleasant. It’s awkward enough to where I would totally sacrifice coming here because of the managers bad attitude. Most of the employees at 6:15 Am every day are really nice(which is how often I come) like the young man with the slick black hair and glasses, he’s really great! This is solely on the manager on Monday October 19th at 6:30AM. She honestly made it feel like it was a burden for her to make my drink. The girl was in training and asked for help and the«manager» almost rolld her eyes in annoyance. Like come on don’t do that in front of a customer when she’s trying to make the customers drink. Just super unprofessional. Not to mention that she gave me the worst attitude ever as I «the customer» tried ro lighten the mood and ask her questions. Don’t know if this company values customer service but if you do you should really really take a second look at who’s in charge(girl short black hair, wearing a choker) Way to make my morning start off right lady! New girl was sweet just trying to learn, unfortunately wasn’t even given the chance to have her question answered.

I absolutely love coffee bean! Their ice blended drinks are AMAZING! The baristas are always sweet and I have never waited more than a few mins for my drink. This particular location has a small parking lot, sometimes you have to circle around a few times to find a spot.

I love the coffee bean but this location has the dirtiest bathroom. Every time I go in, it is a mess-dirty floors, paper thrown everywhere, and almost always the toilet is unflushed! This location also has terrible Internet. They have a password, but you don’t actually need a password, but the internet rarely works. It will come and go and seems to work for about 3 of 10 minutes. Fix the Internet and clean the bathroom and that will make me work on stuff here(while purchasing snacks and coffee galore) rather than Starbucks! Most disappointing coffee bean ice been to.

Although I am not a fan of the drinks of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, the staff is undoubtedly one of the friendliest I’ve ever come across and cleanliness of this store met all my expectations. The brightness of this store is a good contrast to Starbucks’ dark interior. The menu is pretty diverse and offers many drinks to try out. I had a question on some of the drinks and the cashier patiently explained them. The parking lot is also large and spacious and does not lead into a dangerous, real-life version of Frogger, unlike the parking lot for the Starbucks across the street.

The Coffee Bean is a major coffee purveyor in Southern California, but has only a handful of San Francisco locations in Northern California. This Walnut Creek location is the first in the East Bay. I have been curious to check it out since I learned they were opening a coffee outlet out my way. An important note about the location: yes, technically this is Walnut Creek, but it’s nowhere near the downtown area. It’s located in the same shopping mall as Sprouts, off the 680 Treat Blvd. exit, on Geary Road. No problem with parking, decent amount of lot parking at this center. They did a nice job on this Coffee Bean. A beautiful, sparkling new store: teak-like wood, high ceilings, recessed lighting, an abundance of natural light — and much larger than the San Francisco Embarcadero location I’m used to. A reasonable amount of inside seating too. Coffee Bean is known for their ice blended drinks, which predate frappuccinos from you know who. I tried a Cookies and Cream ice blended, with the affogato pour-over shot option. This gave it more of a coffee taste, and help offset the naturally highly sweet drink(not to mention some extra caffeine if you need it!). My wife had the Vanilla Ultimate ice blended with chocolate covered espresso beans — also delicious. Wonderful to be able to enjoy Coffee Bean closer to home!

Awesome corner location with patio seating and umbrellas. The warm Sunday felt very SoCal and with my new Affogato Ice Blended with floating shot in my hand made me miss going to the beaches. Service is friendly and drinks came out quick. I expected nothing less from CBTL!

Been here a few times. The store is clean and neat. Always some people in the place. They give you 20 cents off if you bring your own mug. The staff has always been friendly and professional. The coffee is great. As I live and work close by here I always try and walk as the parking is at a premium most of the time.

I’m SO glad this placed opened up so close to home. Being from Southern Cal where they have a lot of Coffee Bean’s, and moving to the E. Bay where there were literally none, it’s nice to have a comfort of where I used to live. Everyone is extremely friendly here and excited to make your coffee. My favorite is their Ice Blended Black Forest. Fantastic. It’s probably totally unhealthy, but it’s delicious… so I figure that cancels things out. The seating is comfortable, electrical outlets abount, and WIFI is free. I never have to ask what the code is because it’s always on the bottom left corner of the TV. It’s like a coffee place for people that like coffee. Completely different than Starbucks.

I waited a bit before writing this review to give them some time to get in their groove since opening. Very glad I continued to give them a shot. At first the service was a bit aloof and disjointed but on my last few visits, they’ve definitely kicked it up a notch and their staff has been great. Now on to their beverages-quite a wide variety of teas and most importantly for fall-pumpkin spice chai tea lattes! The fact they offer vanilla almond milk AND coconut almond milk also scores them some bonus points. I’m also a fan of their finely crushed ice-it just makes their iced beverages seem a tiny bit fancier versus plain old ice cubes-lol. I haven’t tried a ton on the menu just yet, but this will be a go-to spot for me on weekends after the gym and some nearby grocery shopping. The lot can get busy but early morning Saturday and Sunday seem fine so far. Finally, they offer comfy and ample sitting if you’ve got the luxury of lingering. Hope they continue their upward service trend and are successful enough to open other locations in the area. I’m going to go out on a limb to say it’s my favorite chain coffee shop-just wish it were conveniently located.

Place gets nostalgia points from me. I used to live down in San Diego and Coffee Bean was always one of our go to spots for coffee and tea drinks. Of course, that was mainly because the only other choice was Starbucks. Their straight up coffee is merely average. Maybe a tiny bit better than Starbucks. Certainly not as good as Peet’s. However, Coffee Bean probably has the best specialty coffee drinks of any chain(and many non-chain) cafes around. They have great diet options too. And they really get into the tea direction. One of my favorite drinks I used to get here was the Moroccan chocolate mint latte. Sugar free and fat free. And mindblowingly good. My husband was able to get a flavored coffee here the other day. It was decent. If we can brave this terrible parking lot again, we’ll be back to get my favorite drink.

The Coffee Bean is a new experience for me. first time in one. impressed. friendly greeting/service ala starbucks. better coffee brew:(m1.95) –got medium roast, didn’t know the options stronger, tastier than pike’s peak, starbux’s medium roast –very smooth, lots of body, sippable 4 stars drips: –fast, friendly service. –parking horrible here. –free WiFi.

It’s nice to try something new for a change. It did not take me long to get Starbuck-ed out, and even though Peets will always be there, again mixing in a change once in a while is a good thing. Enter«CBTL», as it is called since everyone abbreviates pretty much everything now. Established in SoCal in the 60’s, a handful of locations have finally made their way to the Bay Area in the last few years including this new one in Walnut Creek. It’s bright inside with lots of windows. There is a community table and about five other ones, so there is not a lot of seating. But there is free Wi-fi, so at least you can stay connected if your visit is long or short. Maybe shorter is better, as the parking is limited and tough to get in/out. Each visit has had a sample of some kind of baked goods, nice way to upsell. Good ice tea, especially black and tropical. Multiple coffee options both in beans to go, and already brewed. And the two best blended drinks are the Mud Pie and Black Forest. It won’t be hard to find a favorite here.
