Great work! Always a good experience at The Tick Tock Store. Brian is very passionate about his work and it shows. But he’s also very reasonably priced and extremely meticulous – if you have fragile timepieces than this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Brain did a amazing job on fixing my watch. I’m very happy with it. The price was reasonable. This is a good place if you need to repair a watch.

I have been going to The Tick Tock for it seems at least 20 years to have my Seiko watch serviced or get a new battery or a new wrist band. I have been always very happy with the service. But now I realize what a wonderful shop it is. I was in a hurry and dropped in to Morrison’s in Orinda for a new battery because my watch had stopped — after 5 mins she returned and said it would cost $ 250.00 to be fixed(and she mentioned that it wouldn’t be worth it unless it has sentimental value — it is a 35 year old Seiko with original parts). So I picked up my watch and went to Tick Tock and got it serviced and a new battery for $ 65.00 — and it has been working perfectly for 10 days so far! I have found him to be an honest man that seems to really like his work. I would recommend him to everyone!

My watch had stopped and I assumed it needed a new battery. Found The Tick Tock Store on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Greeted with a smith and hello as soon as I walked in. Brian confirmed it was just the battery and replaced it with a new one. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes at a very, very reasonable price.

We had a 20+ yr old grandfather clock repaired and polished. Brian gave a great price and did a great job.

Brian came out to the house after we were told by another clock shop in Danville that our clock would be too much to fix and fixed our Grandfather Clock right up. The price was right and he was a professional from start to finish. Thanks Brian

my experience here is quite different than the rest of the reviewers so let it go as maybe an aberration, but in my case it was a real experience. my only visit to the shop was to have a battery replaced on a sports watch. i got the battery replaced ok, but in the process they ruined the seals of the watch and did not mention it to me, so when i next took the watch out and it got wet(it was waterproof before the battery replacement) the watch died and was destroyed. when i took the watch back to tick tock, they literally told me that i should have known that the seal would be destroyed. they did nothing to help my situation out, so if i could give them zero stars i would as i had to buy another watch after my experience at tick tock. be careful.

The quality of the work isn’t bad. We got our antique clock back in good shape, not perfect, and some of the hinges still needed to be tightened by us. But it clearly had been cleaned and had new springs put in, which makes me happy. Brian isn’t exactly on top of it. He gave my dad a receipt with the store’s logo and a disclaimer to present receipt to pick up merchandise and that all merchandise left over 60 days would be subject to being discarded. After a few days Dad called to ask about the clock, but Brian couldn’t find it and said he’d get back to us. A few days later, Mom called. Still no luck. When Dad called a few days after that to complain, Brian said, «Your clock is ready and it has been here for a while– why haven’t you come to pick it up yet?» Dad came in and presented the receipt, but Brian said, «I don’t use those receipts anymore. Where did you get that from?» Regardless of the scatterbrained owner, the oldest thing in the house is back and in beautiful working condition with only minor tweaks to get it back to the way we know it. I waited a few days to write this review so that I know it really has been fixed.

I had a few batteries replaced the other day at this shop and was more than just happy with the service. Polite, straight forward and efficient; I just loved this shop. It is exactly what a clock/watch repair shop should be. They even put my wind up wrist watch back together after a person from Radioshack tried to replace the battery for me. Yes, you read that correctly. All in 10 – 15 minutes. I dashed over to Rite Aid for the wait. It is a little hard to find but it is catty-cornered from the far edge of Rite Aid — around the corner from the main parking area of the strip mall. Parking is in back for your convenience. I recommend driving around to the back as there are more shops back there and less congestion. Very nice experience! Go there!

I love clocks and watches. Beautiful timepieces. So I am in and out of a lot of watch shops. That is until I found the Tick Tock Store about eight years ago. Now Brian Nguyen, the owner of The Tick Tock Store, is my go to person for all things time related that I own. He can fix just about anything. He has even come to my home to tune up my grandfather clock. He has replaced batteries in just about any type of watch one can imagine. Got a watch that is Swiss made and«fully automatic», not a problem, he will tune it up at a very reasonable rate. Brian is very trustworthy, talented, and the prices he charges are beyond fair.

My son made a wall clock in school. The actual clock was cheap and we wanted to replace it with a nice one so the piece would be something we could keep for a long time. I took it to a clock store in Lafayette, and they could not even be bothered to help me. I brought it in here, and the owner showed me what we needed to do and saved us a lot of money in doing it. We now have our nice clock sitting on the wall. He charged us less then he had quoted us originally. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

Nice folks at a store that’s a throw-back to a different era. Need a watch battery replaced, or a new strap? They will accommodate. Friendly and competent service.

A friend gave me a watch as a present, and the strap was too large, he re-sized for a reasonable price. My other watch has a plastic strap that needs replacing every 3 years or so. He replaced that for less than $ 10 with a really strong looking one. He’s a nice chap too, took only 10 min for the whole job. I spent some of the time looking around the store which, in addition to conventional watches and clocks, has some interesting odd looking novelties that might make nice gifts the next time I make a trip home.
