Bbq pulled pork quesadilla with creamy guacamole sauce and bbq sauce… should’ve known better. Not only were the flavors strange together, but the meat was so tough and flavorless. To be fair I only tried one thing on the menu.

I ordered the Mediterranean veggie wrap, for $ 10. It’s OKAY… but not worth $ 10. I’d like to see the price go on if it doesn’t contain meat. Where is the $ 10 worth of food?

The 2 stars are for my Thai Chicken Wrap. Not very flavorful at all. Quality of ingredients was good, but needed some umph! Would not eat from this truck again.

Decided to also try United Bites. This is the first time I have seen this truck. But it is my second time at OTG walnut creek. I decided to get their Jerk Chicken Tacos. the price was higher than what I usually feel comfortable at, but I wanted to taste the UB sauce that was part of set up. The 2 tacos are larger than the typical small street tacos that are offered. The chef did a great job with tons of portions, but the combination was amazing. Quick service, about 6mins to be made. Good size and portion. Price mildly higher than what I like, but quality definitely worth it.

I had the Jamaican Jerk tacos. Pretty good… Not the best but not the worst. Something they season it with gave a weird after taste. I wanna try the pork and cheese fries next time. I will try them again. If you check in and buy an entrée you get a free drink(wish i woulda known). Nice guys running it…

I really enjoyed the Thai Chicken Wrap that I ordered off the United Bites Food Truck at the recent Walnut Creek Centennial Celebration at the Shadelands Ranch. So did Gayle, as I shared my Lunch with my Lovely Bride and hard working volunteer.

These Jerk Chicken Tacos are all I can think about come lunch time! Sooo good and so fresh! I hear the pulled pork is super good too but every time I go I can’t resist the tacos. Some of the best food truck items I have ever had! Highly recommend it :)

Ive eaten food from United bites 5 or 6 times. Its always been delicious. The challenge with a food truck — what do you do when you walk away and discover your food isn’t up to previous standards? I think today was my 4th time with porky fries. Its always been well cooked crispy fries covered in lots of shredded cheese that melts, and then a generous portion of shredded pork and sauce. Today I got soggy fries, all very pale, and a few actually quite cold. Clumps of shredded cheese, as the fries weren’t hot enough to melt it. The pork was the usual generous and tasty portion. In a sit down restaurant, Id call my experience to the attention of a server. Today, I ate the pork and discarded the rest. I’ll still patronize UB — this was the only way I could tshink to give them feedback. 4 stars until today, 1 or 2 stars for consistency and today’s experience.

First time trying them out. Excellent Caribbean Jerk Tacos. $ 8 for two, good portion size(not to much, not tool little). I will meet with them again one day! Fast & pleasant service as well at the Pleasant Hill Contra Costa Center location. My only request would be to add some drinks other than Coke & Sprite. Lemonade would go well with the type of food on the truck.

I hit United Bites at Off The Grid Pleasant Hill’s soft opening, and they did a great job! They had already been open for a couple hours when I bellied up to try their Caribbean jerk chicken tacos, so their menu was half crossed out, and the wait was considerable — I’d say at least 20 minutes. But in fairness I don’t think they anticipated such an insane crowd for a soft opening — all the better for them and their cash register! Employee Adam thanked me very much for my patience and said please come back next week — they seem eager to show people that they can handle the pressure, of which I have no doubt. Along with the two tacos at $ 7, which is one of the best food truck deals I’ve ever seen, they offer a free soda with check-in & entrée purchase on Unilocal, woohoo! Their chicken was wonderfully spiced, topped with generous scoops of their shreddy coleslaw with a light but creamy dressing, wrapped in a flatbread-style tortilla with a classy sprinkling of black sesame seeds. Keep the little serving boat handy because these tacos are juicy and drippy! I look forward to visiting them again to try their other worldly offerings, they are a very welcome sight at food truck fests!

Porky cheese fries are awesome! Imagine a bed of seasoned fries topped with pulled pork and lathered with BBQ and secret(spicy) United Bites sauce and you have a concoction of savory fireworks in your mouth! The other thing UB gets right is customer service. My order was done incorrectly and upon returning, not only was my order fixed, I was offered their«trailer trash» trail mix along with an apology. Customers can forgive mistakes. What customers won’t tolerate is arrogance. Thanks UB!

I ate here for lunch today and really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the Caribbean tacos, fries, and a soda. The chicken was tender, spicy, and delicious. I really enjoyed these tacos, they were the right size and an excellent value considering how full and satisfied I was after eating. The chicken was a little bit spicier than I thought it would be, and I normally do not enjoy spicy food, but I would absolutely order the same meal again. I was not crazy about the fries, however, that is not saying that they were bad. I was satisfied from the tacos, so I really did not need the fries, though they were perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely. A great spot to stop for lunch if you’re near the truck, because they’re fast and the food is in my opinion better than what you can receive at a regular restaurant.

Haven’t seen United Bites in Bishop ranch since before Thanksgiving, and I’m so glad their back! Had the BBQ pork and cheese fries. They’re great! Hope to try the hamburgers in the future!

Picked this truck over several others during a Food Truck Mafia event. The line was very long and slow which is why I took a star away but the food was good. I got the bbq pulled pork cheese fries. The pork was very soft and the sauce had a good spice to it. The only thing I would have liked is if the food was a little warmer. I don’t know if the truck is normally this slow; it was their first time at this location and may not have anticipated such a high demand. But I would recommend the pulled pork!

The«ooh Mami burger» and pulled pork tacos were so good. The burgers flavors were delicious. It was juicy and filling. The pulled pork tacos with the special sauce and yummy coleslaw combination is something I will definitely return to have again. The tacos were $ 6 and the burger $ 7. I added a can of soda for $ 2 more. I also shared some fries with a friend.

The hamburgers and tacos are my favorite. The taste is definitely different because of the UB sauce. Great food and service! Check it out!

This is a revised review for United Bites. As I mentioned previously, this is a fairly new food truck and kinks are expected. Today I came and lunch hour wasn’t as busy as the last time, so I was able to meet the owner Adam. Nice guy that seems passionate about quality food and making sure to right any issues. While revising this post, I initially wanted to give 4 stars, only because I wanted a second taste of the Bleu Ribbon burger because it had so much promise. Unfortunately, it was off the menu today and Adam was kind enough to explain why. A good burger is finicky… a GOURMET burger requires a lot of care. Adam explained the different cuts of steak that get mixed in the patties, and I started to salivate. That in itself deserves an extra star. So five stars it is. I understand the work it takes to do a burger right, and to cater to ALL burger lovers. Looking forward to seeing those back on the menu. Now as far as the food that was served to me today? Honey/Sriracha Chicken WANGS and Fries — always loved the combo of honey and Sriracha. The WANGS were a good size and cooked the way I like them. I would like to try the same sauce with the WANGS deep fried. No complaint with the fries like last time. Good balance of crispy outside, soft inside. Seasoned just right. Tastes even better dipped in the Honey/Sriracha concoction. Adam also threw a couple tacos in. Hickory Smoked Pulled Pork — Adam said the pork was pulled out from the smoker this morning. Love the idea of fresh daily ingredients… who doesn’t? It was topped with their apple slaw and UB sauce. UB liking this mix… I did. Caribbean Jerk Chicken — Good as well. Definitely a refreshing taste different from the Taco trucks that come by. All in all, I’m glad I got to meet Adam and give his truck another try and have a positive experience. I want to see this guy succeed, because the more he keeps coming, the more other trucks will have to step up their game to match the quality ingredients and the creativity in fusing different flavors.
