Worst experience ever! Too bad transportation and food office! They can’t talk to parents. If adults can’t speak to parents, what they teach kids? Look forward to move out.

I applied for a position at this district office and had worst experience! I passed all the exam and interview with a flying color. They really liked me and even told me I’m more than qualify for this executive position. I started hiring procedures include health exam and finger printing etc. I had to pay total of $ 180 out of my pocket to get everything done and passed. I was told that some one will contact me within 2 weeks. I waited and waited for their response and mothing. I finally called them and they told me position is closed. WTF?! They also told me that supervisor will call me to let me know why I didnt get the position… That was good year and half ago. As of today, they don’t have courtesy to let me know what is going on. Horrible. HR lady was super rude and bossy too. I guess they become grouchy menopausal if you stay in the office too long… Lol Don’t waste your time and money to apply there. They still have a same position I didn’t get as open on their HR website. Very unorganized place.

The rating for this district may go down as the superintendent has said he is leaving and is going to cut the school year six days fhis year and nine days the next year, even though he is retiring after two years. Any district is as good as its teachers and Walnut has an abundance. My test advise is to call the district and see about the cuts. If you work you may have to find someone to babysit your children for three weeks in the coming school years.

I have lived in Walnut for more than 30 years and attended K-12 here. I always loved my teachers and administrators. This is an amazing district. The behind the scene staff(District Employees) are incredible and have always put their heart into their work. This district has never lost its small city feeling despite growing and expanding over the years to keep up with ever growing population. Nice work WVUSD, KEEPITUP!
