One cashier took over 20 minutes to help two kids buy Madden 15 and trade some stuff in very ineffectively. The other worker decided to put away games and get the store ready for closing even though we still had 40 minutes left. He refused to help ring out at this point and I was left waiting to get any service. Ended up leaving after 25 minutes and downloaded the game on XBox Live. Do not go here

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The store has a great selection of new and used games, consoles, and electronics. Otherwise, a typical Gamestop store.

Walked in a few minutes before closing and was refused service, even though they were ringing up another customer. there’s a reason this place has such a low rating. Take your money and your used games elsewhere.

This location absolutely sucks. They have the smallest selection of used games going and I’m pretty sure it’s because anyone who’s been to this location goes elsewhere now. The people who work here are so unpleasant. Especially the big ogre looking guy who has given me attitude for trading in games for cash… really guy? GameStop in general is a good store for games… however stay far from this one. Burlington has 3 all are way better, bigger selection and friendly employees. They should really restaff and restock the Waltham location before it’s too late.

These guys are jerks. They sold me the wrong game — the right case; wrong disc inside. I called the store when I got home — they left me on hold for 10 minutes while they checked if they still/ever had the right game — then finally they told me they didn’t have it and they couldn’t get it for 3 or 4 days. No apology. Then I called some more stores and found it at the Arsenal Mall GameSTOP; they were very nice & helpful. When I returned the game to the Waltham store the next day, they STILL didn’t apologize and were a-holes about their mistake — «not their fault». DONOTGOTOTHISSTORE. The Framingham/Rte 30, Sherwood Plaza/Rte 9, and Arsenal Mall GameSTOPs were all great to deal with. Waltham employees were all jerks.

What can I say — it is a game stop at a strip mall, but the person I dealt with was very knowlegable(read-nerdy) and was very respectful to my autistic son who was going on and on and on … about Zelda. I did not catch his name, but he was great. We came in with a Wii to trade in and to buy a new one — he stopped us and said that if we waited one day, we could get an additional $ 25 off the New Wii. THATWASSUPERNICE! That is what makes a person faithful to a store. The Game Stop in Framingham next to the Panera is also has Super nice with game literate people.

Eff this location. They sold me a used game that didnt work at all, and then wouldnt exchange it for store credit, only for another of the same used game — which they didnt have in stock. So I got stuck with the trade in value as if it were just a used game from my collection — which was 1⁄6 the value of purchase 24 hours prior. The guy had the audacity to act like he was doing me a favor. Total poop show. The frustration and let down was worsened because I so rarely buy games, I actually was sort of excited for a new one. Predictably dork ridden, gamer-snark service and shitty selection of used 360 games round out a useless experience.

I’m a sucker for brick-and-mortar video game stores. I always have been, even before they began their rapid dash towards irrelevance. I’m part of the problem, as are all gamers that hop on Amazon to look for deals instead of hopping into their cars to drive to the strip mall. But despite the savings and convenience of ordering a game online and be playing it within an hour(download) or two days(delivery), there’s a wonderful quaintness to walking into a GameStop and soaking in all of the displays and new release kiosks and sounds of Guitar Hero being played on the«PS3 Under Glass» test station. I stopped into the one on Lexington street after work one day, and was impressed by the spaciousness and tidiness of the store. It’s very easy for a game store to fall into chaos, but thankfully this one didn’t. I poured through the PC game section, and after much debate picked out one I’ve been hoping to play. The cashier at the front desk put the CD in the case for me and quickly went through the system requirements with me, which was a very nice gesture, even though I’m sure most folks are aware of what games can and can’t run on their computers. I walked out happy, with the handles of the plastic bag crinkling between my fingers. I love that new video game feeling. Buying online just isn’t the same.
