No frills basic liquor store that’s near the house. Parking is easy. The people that work there are nice and easy to deal with. They always have the basics in stock. Quick place to stop for beer & wine & other booze-related items.

Bought a 12-pack of Stella and a bottle of wine. After a few days I decided to look at the receipt and realized the dude overcharged me $ 11 by putting in 2 extra items that I didn’t purchase. At the time of purchase I thought the total was pretty high but didn’t question it because I never had any reason too. Guess I won’t be going back and checking my receipt to be careful from here on out.

After watching the movie Moulin Rouge I set out to find out where to get Absinthe. Went to store after store after store and nobody had a clue…(I should have checked Google first) Frustrated, I figured I would try Michaels before I went home. A very knowledgeable clerk told me all about wormwood and Absinthe and how it is essentially not something they can legally sell. I left with a bottle of Pernod and the knowledge that there is no such thing as Absinthe. The level of knowledge was so satisfying and the store was so clean and bright and I was satisfied.

Love this place. Good selection of beer, never any lines, and the guy at the counter is hilarious! He either has a good joke, or does trivia at the counter. Knowing a state capital got me a tiny discount! Haha.

Close to my house which was nice. Prices seemed reasonable. Selection was pretty decent. The crowd in there was pretty sketchy as was the guy working the register. My fiancé picked out a bottle of wine and brought it up front. He rang it up for more than was on the sticker without saying anything. She questioned him on it and he got aggressive. He said the price sticker was not right and he didn’t care if people think he should sell it for that price and he would not discount it at all and pushed the bag towards her suggesting«too late you bought it, now leave.» So she pushed it back and said I don’t want it for that price and he allowed us to pick out another bottle. We went back and looked and every bottle was labeled at the lower price. So she grabbed a different bottle of wine and he gave her the difference in cash since he had already charged her card. It mostly worked out I guess but this guy knows nothing about customer service. We were talking about 3 dollars! Anyway, we wouldn’t return. Hope it was worth the 3 dollars.

So reading the other 3 reviews, Toma T. looks suspicious, only 1 review on Unilocal,in 5 months and it’s of this place for 5 stars, with 1 line discription. T.T. Mentions Starbucks so he obviouslly has no tastebuds to begin with, and is a bit confused on the law. No state law, in any state about minimum charges, here actually RULES(not law) Visa’s and MasterCard’s regulations prohibit minimum charge amounts. American Express’s regulations do not explicitly prohibit minimum charges, but its policy is to discourage any merchant practices that create a «barrier to acceptance.» Discover and other cards have no documented regulations. Massachusetts only law is against CC Surcharges, however stores can give ‘cash discounts’ in other words, they charge $ 1.00 but if you pay cash you may get 3% off, so you pay $ 0.97. Anthony R. Right on. This store is basic, good not great selections, of beer and limited wine, with a slim and basic hard liquor selection. Truthfully I would only come here to buy a keg for my home bar, if I had one, but as for daily use, only if I’m driving by and think of picking up a 6 pack of something… and considering it’s not that easy to see from the street the odds are not good for this happening.

F this place and F the guy who was rude to my wife. Here is a state law that this cashier decided to ignore. If you accept credit cards, you have to by law accept them for any amount. You cannot put a minimum. It is illegal. If you don’t like it, don’t accept credit cards. Secondly being rude and yelling at my wife will only get me to call the owner in the morning and let them know that they have lost a customer based on your crap ass attitude. This place can fall off the planet before they get a dime from me. I recommend going anywhere else as buying from this store only encourages the behavior. I look forward to when it is replaced with a Starbucks.

The prices here are great !!! They always have good deals, and I have found they have the cheapest beer around. They always have fun giveaways and raffles. The staff is very friendly, helpful and personable! They ordered a certain rum for me that isn’t popular around here. You can tell them are very grateful for their customers. After a long hard day at work, I look forward to going here to make my purchases and see the friendly staff !!

In a sentence, Michael’s is a pretty standard liquor store that doesn’t do too much to stand out of the very industrial-looking building it’s housed in. It seems it caters mostly to a crowd mostly interested in beer balls of Bud Light, kegs of Busch, and maybe a 1.5L bottle of Yellow Tail if it’s a «classy evening.» Liquor selection is adequate but not exceptional, as is the beer selection. I will note that prices for kegs were pretty good(as is their«We will not be undersold on kegs!» policy advertised in their flyers). A convenient place to stop by to pick up a 6 pack of beer or to get some basic bar staples, but nothing worth going out of your way for.
