This review is for their lunch specials. I’ve been here a few times for lunch and found the food decent for the price. There isn’t much décor or atmosphere to speak of. This is one of the very few Korean places in the area so I pretty much come here when I have cravings for Korean food. Their lunch stews(Kimchi stew, Soondobu) and lunch boxes are pretty good. For lunch boxes, you get a variety of sides along with the main entrée. I have never seen this place fill at during lunch or dinner times.

The California roll was mediocre as was their spicy salmon roll but they still tasted good. My friend ordered the tempura(shrimp only) and it literally was just the battered shrimp, unfortunately they forgot his miso soup. I ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch box which was very filling. Chicken teriyaki was awesome and the veggie medley that comes with it also had chicken in it. The California rolls were ok. The meal also came with a clear giggly substance. I have no idea what it was and it barely had any taste but I didn’t eat it because I wasn’t sure what it was. It looked like clear tofu. But anyways I really like this place, prices are good as is the food and service !

I dunno about this place… The sushi looked good and tasted good but I’m not feeing well after eating there and I found a hair in my rice… I hope this was a bad day for them and not the norm. I had a bad experience at their neighboring restaurant: Leo’s Place. If you are in the area and want a good meal go to Gustazo just a few doors down instead.

I’m a repeat customer of this place because of the good food. And when I saw there was a Groupon, I happily bought it. I made sure there was no restrictions and took my friends there for lunch. However, they refused to take the Groupon and said it can only be used for dinner(which is not on the Groupon at all). Worst part is even the owner came out to yell at us. I half joked that they might lose a repeat customer and they said they don’t care. Definitely never going back again.

I lived in Korea for 2 years and I tend to be very picky about eating«authentic Korean.» However, for not being in Seoul, this place is really good-the bibimbap is delicious, and the kimchi is made in house. They have a wide selection on their menu and can customize items to your liking. It is also very nice to see the amount of diverse families that come and dine here-the staff makes you feel welcome and are accommodating.

We used a Groupon, which is what brought us in to try this place. I think the overall Unilocal review of 3.5 stars is completely accurate. The food is very good, but it won’t blow you away– at least ours didn’t. The sushi was really good and tasted very fresh. The rest of our food was pretty standard. Honestly, I thought it was a bit expensive, but I’d come back here for sushi any day. There’s free parking on the side streets nearby and theres lots of space in the restaurant.

Came here because I had a Groupon. However, despite it not being stated anywhere in the Groupon itself, they told me they only take the Groupon deal on their dinner menu… Probably against the Groupon terms to do that, but whatever. Anyway, the food is good. Sushi all seemed fresh and well prepared, but everything seemed to be missing a little something because it wasn’t great, just good. Got the steamed dumplings and tempura for appetizers, those were both good too. I will say the service was lackluster. My husband and I were the only customers in the restaurant and the waitress still didn’t pay much attention to us, she left dirty dishes from our soup and appetizers sit there until we were done with everything. Also had to flag her down just to get a refill on our waters. All in all, we will likely visit again but it isn’t anything to write home about.

Fantastic food, the sushi is fresh and the Korean is excellent. The Bento Boxes are full. Ketsu dishes are delicious. Needs updated décor and the service is not friendly all the time, depending how busy they are. I got a groupon and I got attitude when I mentioned it.

I am only here for the korean dishes so my review will be strictly about that. Quality: not exception but good enoughto satisfy my korean cravings Favorite Dish: soon dobu, bibimbap Service: average — I only sat down at the restaurant a few times and took out mostly. One time, I ordered a dish from the lunch menu but the lady went ahead charging me for the full dinner price. Luckily I noticed it and called her out on that, to which she responded: Oh I thought you ordered it from the full menu !!! Overall, since there’s not a lot of options when it comes to korean food in the waltham area, this is your best bet. But if you have time to venture out further, please do.

Not a terrible restaurant, but fairly mediocre food. Went with my husband recently and I ordered the salmon teriyaki lunch box, he ordered the sushi lunch plate. Both good, but not great. His tuna was pretty low quality– he couldn’t even chew it. We’d probably only go back if we were short on time as they are pretty quick service during the lunch hour. Otherwise– go to Sakura on Pine St.

Absolutely my favorite sushi bar! The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is always fresh and delicious and they deliver! You can’t beat that! The Volcano roll is my favorite thing off the menu.

The lady on the phone was very impatient and told me that I have to pick up the food because they’re busy. I paid the freaking delivery fee for god sake. The service I got made me feel like I made a mistake to order food from them. Will not visit again, the food btw, it’s a Japanese restaurant owned by Korean ppl, so don’t order JPNS dishes, the Korean food there was very mediocre as well.

This is the worst delivery I’ve ever experienced. We live only 10 mins away. They falsely advertised 30 – 45 minutes delivery. After waiting for 45 minutes I called them and asking where the food was. They were very impatient and hung up quickly after telling me that the delivery guy had been on his way. Finally more than an hour later, the guy finally showed up with food that clearly had been sitting for a long time. He was rude, demanded a high tip despite the horrible service and when he knew he was not gonna get it. He verbally assaulted me. Wish I read the other bad reviews before I ordered. I’ll never order from this place again and neither should you.

I was always curious about this place because I wanted Korean but it didn’t seem like solely a Korean rsstaurant. I went with my colleagues. We had a time constraint so we pre-ordered. I thought their food was good, but the service was OK. The bathroom(toilet) wasn’t working, it was so chaotic, we had to order things twice. Honestly I just wanted to finish and get out soon. I’d come back for the food, but perhaps when it’s not prime time.

Sushi lover — yes, I am! I am also picky when it comes to fresh fish. I have eaten sushi in many places(including fancier ones) but I only find fresh fish ALL the time at sushi box. I absolutely love it! When I had a cold and ordered take out the miso soup was also fresh and delicious as always! I do give 5 stars to this place because their staff is great in addition to the great food :) Keep up the good work sushi box !!!

3.5 stars. mostly bc of the owner’s passion for her restaurant. Their lunch box deal isnt bad at all, v reasonably priced and tasty. sushi is okay, not bad not good. meat is pretty good, and there’s even fruits on the platter. however, i had upset stomach afterwards. may not be as clean as they should be? not sure why. food not as fresh? but i do want to recognize the owner’s friendliness and passion for owning this restaurant. she loves what she does and works v hard at it.

Sushi Box has decent sushi. Don’t order anything fried for delivery because by the time you get it, it will most likely be soggy. Definitely go in-store for their spicy tofu or agedashi tofu because it’s nice and crispy when served right away. The sushi is actually pretty good, I just must still not be used to New England pricing(I’m from Jersey) because despite being good, I can get sushi at home of same quality at cheaper prices. Service was average, our waiter was young and didn’t seem like he knew the menu that well. Also the one negative thing that happened was my roommate on a Paleo diet could only eat sashimi — and the server had to come back two separate times to let us know which fish they didn’t have. The second instance they came my roommate didn’t want to starve so added to her order but when they gave us the bill she was charged for her original order, which was more expensive than the actual order she received. She paid the difference anyway since she didn’t want to inconvenience the servers(they already had to re-do our bill once because they FORGOT to apply our GroupOn and we were splitting our bill between 4 people), but if it was me I definitely wouldn’t stand for that.
