My family loves to dine here. There’s something for everyone, and everything is fresh and delicious. Comfortable atmosphere suitable for any occasion. Best drink’s menu in the area~ craft beer & cider on tap signature cocktails & good wines(gl. or btl)…leave room for dessert!

I landed at Feather which was a little more than a Stones throw from the main road(next door to Ace Hardware) concealed by a clandestine exterior and inaccurately represented on G**gle maps. Interior is eclectic modern painted in color blocks and seating is in rigid large booths for groups, pub tables, or you can post up at the bar. I’m raving so far, but I came in for a quick bite, ordered a small plate of two fish tacos, but it still took over 30 minutes in and out. There were no sight lines between my table and the waitress, so I had to get up to pay my bill. No biggie, but the attention would’ve gone a long way. Eats were good, but what’s a fish taco without Pico de Gallo? Nevertheless, I believe with more time and a bigger appetite this would be a choice restaurant in town.

My girlfriend and I were passing through Walton and tried Feather & Stone for brunch. We are glad we did! Fresh ingredients, delicious omelettes, speedy and friendly service, and a clean setting. Good biscuits, too. Several vegetarian /healthy options but plenty here for meat-lovers. It’s one of those restaurants that has so many delicious-sounding options on the menu, you may have trouble picking your dish. I would definitely come back for dinner next time I’m in the area.

We saw the ad for this new restaurant in the Walton Reporter so decided to give it a try. Loved the vibe as soon as we walked in. There was a happy party going on in the bar and a warm welcome from the waitress. I had one of the specialty drinks and it was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered, not a crumb left on the plates. My son especially like the Madeline veggie burger. There was a mistake on my order which the waitress realized as soon as she put my plate down. She apologized and fixed it, calmly and efficiently which I appreciated. Kudos to this new dining spot in Walton — we will be back for the live music and more delicious food.

Went here a few times since they’ve opened. I’ve gotten the Madeline(veggie burger-yay!) and soup and salad. Madeline has been excellent, all except the last time on New Year’s Eve when it was dry and sort of tasteless. Maybe they made it early and it sat around? The fries are really terrific and homemade. The tomato basil soup was a soup of the day and it was fantastic along with the toasted bread. I don’t really remember the salad, but I’m sure it was good. The DJ for New Year’s was terrible, though, and the bar service that night was also awful. However, Halloween night was pretty great and the service was better. I like that they feature local-ish beers and regional foods on special. They also buy local produce when in season, which is really exciting. Hours are excellent-seems like they’re always open(which is rare in these parts). Would love some more vegetarian options-right now there’s only three(maybe four) on the regular menu-salad(boring), grilled cheese(boring), and madeline(fantastic in most cases). The owners are really pleasant too, so added bonus!

good selection of food. burgers seem to be their specialty. the meat seems to lack a bit of flavor, although the bread and other items are good. deserts could be better, the cake I had was very dry bit the tiramisu was decent. overall good atmosphere.

Let me start by saying the food was fantastic! But why did I only give 3 stars you may ask yourself… well the simple answer is we ordered breakfast and it was 45 minutes before we received our food. The place wasn’t busy and it still took 45 minutes to receive our order.

Red flannel hash on the weekends, super tasty regional favorites during the week make this a new favorite. This is no nonsense good cooking with imagination. My only gripe is with the barely average desserts.

Have been 3x so far, for dinner. They just opened a few weeks ago, so some hiccups are to be expected… for example, the first time, our waiter dropped one of our table’s entrees and it had to be re-made, and the food had already taken a little long in the first place. They offered to take that off the bill, so they made it right. Waiter also never asked us if we wanted drink refills or offered dessert. The second time, the(different) waiter didn’t introduce herself, and while generally polite, she was kind of abrupt and seemed rushed… there was also some debacle about which plate went to which table, but it worked out — I just wish I didn’t have to hear or witness it. This third time, everything seemed smoother. That’s my service experience so far. The food has been pretty good. The braised Utica greens are delicious and tender. I’ve had the New England Scallops(cooked nicely), the Baja tacos(yummy!), and on the most recent trip, had the country fried chicken(excellent — crispy, tasty, really good comfort food). My husband had no complaints with the fettuccine, the cuban sandwich, the wings, and the ribs dinner. I also like their portions — they are much more reasonably sized than your typical chain restaurant. You can actually finish and not feel completely stuffed or that you have to take half home — as it should be. Nice selection of beers. The wines are ‘ok’ and the list is minimal, but that’s ok for this type of place. The atmosphere is fun… if you had ever been to the previous place in this location(West 38), it is SO much nicer. They’ve done a good job making it feel cozy yet modern and fitting in with the flavor of the area. Their weekend brunch sounds very good, so I’m looking forward to trying that sometime soon. Walton really needed a place like this, and I’m glad it’s here.

Great food for lunch. The food was cooked great and a great to go presentation. If you like spicy then you won’t be let down by the Cajun fries. The fish was so well cooked and a great spin on tarter sauce. I’m a fan !!! Four stars while pushing 5 easily. When I have a dinner I’ll be back with a review.
