i wish there was a choice for no stars bc they sucked so badly. it smells soo bad in there, kinda like flesh. the staff was so rude they literally took the plate away from me before i was finished. then after we gave the workers a 10% tip, as we were walking out they stopped me and my family and said«that’s it» like what the fuck do you mean thats it smh i will never come back ever again such a group of con artist i am so disappointed i wasted 300 dollars today never again i will donate this money to kids who need it in africa instead of getting shitty ass food that didnt even fill me or my family and we are reasonably skinny so there was no way they didnt give us food because they thought we were fat so dont even suggest that smh i am soooo mad right now never go to this restaurant and dont waste your money save it and go somewhere where the service is good maybe umbertos right next store now that a good place to go

Amazing sushi and food. I’ve never tried the hibachi but they have great lunch specials! I come here multiple times a month and I’m never disappointed.

Such a disappointment, the only good thing about dinner was our hibachi chef’s service and show. My family and I went last night, there was 10 of us and we were home within an hour and a half. We felt rushed the entire time, We were rushed to order dinner after 5 minutes, I didn’t want hibachi and the waitress was really confused that I ordered 3 appetizers for my dinner instead of hibachi, everyone else order hibachi so it wasn’t like we hogged the hibachi table for no reason. My sushi and tempura arrived to the table before my party was even served their appetizers so I was completely done with my meal before anyone else was even served. The tempura was doughy and undercooked I asked the waitress for a menu because I didn’t eat the tempura and was still hungry, she dropped the menu and never came back to ask if I wanted anything else at this point I was over it and decided to just wait until everyone was done with dinner so my husband and I could have some fried ice cream, I was telling him about it since we sat down, he was excited for it. But alas, the check was dropped before we were even offered dessert. Prior to that the waitress started clearing plates while most of the guests were still eating, and had brought new table set ups all set to go for the next party in line. Once dinner was over and the check was at the table the manager stood over us ready to jump in and clean the table waiting for us to leave. Horrible service, food was okay. Never again.

Went here for lunch last week. While this is not the best Hibachi I have been to, it was okay, not great. The chef was really entertaining and engaging with his show. My only complaint is he was overly aggressive, IMO. When I say I don’t want you to throw food in my mouth, I mean it. So I caved and missed twice and he wanted to keep going until I got it. Really? I would rather eat the food then see it end up on the floor. There were 9 people at the table and he did this with every one of them. He also liked to pour water in the kids mouth and sake to the adults, The majority of the time they missed and got soaked. Funny one time, not so funny multiple times. Maybe it’s me. I had the chicken and steak combo. With it I got soup and salad. The soup was clear and one lonely mushroom floated in it. Really lacked flavor. The salad was fresh, and the ginger dressing was mild. I prefer a more tangy dressing. All the food was cooked perfectly. The 2 sauces they offered for dipping were a ginger and then I couldn’t tell you what the second one was, but it was not very good. I personally like a ginger and a mustard sauce for heat, but oh well. All the food tasted fine, but it could have had more flavor. I also had the Hibachi rice, which was okay, but also lacked some flavor. The service was fine. Friendly and competent. I would probably return for lunch only, and not get a dinner size. For me the dinner price is not worth it. You could get the same at a better place.

Fresh food, some interesting items on menu, but twice I ordered from here, and they forgot parts of the rolls and/or the sauces, caviar, etc… which were supposed to be on them. I would eat here again, but would spend my money elsewhere as many much more consistent and quality places within range.

Great atmosphere, classy. A little pricey — 20 bucks for a Bento box but I got chicken and salmon. The portions were more than generous. No wait on a Friday and the service was incredibly fast. Not a bad thing to say. If you don’t like it then you’re not a real American.

Been here a handful of times since it has been opened. Looks like management has changed. We came on a Thursday night around 7 pm and the place was pretty empty. Had trouble getting the waiters attention the entire meal. Overall, food was mediocre at best, drinks were bland and not worth the steep price. Waitstaff was so rude and inattentive. Will be going to Mizuno for sushi and hibachi instead.

Let’s quickly go category by category: Food: Excellent. Had some of their soups, noodles and a number of sushi items. For the area, I’d give it 4+ stars. Did not have the Hibachi, but we witnessed it and it seemed pretty cool. The cooks had the right attitude and put on a nice show — and plenty of sake to go around. Atmosphere: We’ve always sat in a booth, very open floor plan. The bar is a pretty good size too, should you want to grab a drink. Also 4+ stars. Service: Pleasant and very attentive. Never waited very long when something was needed. Going to go with 4+ stars again. So at this point we are at 4 stars. But with that said, here is the reason for the 2 stars and why we will never come back again. Although it’s annoying, if the store charges for every refill of soda, that’s their right. I personally understand it more in the city, and on Long Island not so much. And we’re not talking cans of soda here. With that said, if it’s a policy I can’t really hold it against them too much. However, if you have this policy in place, do not take a soda that is still just under halfway full, refill it, then charge. And you’re doing it this to a table for two that just went through 2 bottles of wine, and a little something with desert? Sorry folks. You can find us at Kanda or Sapporo going forward.

I have been looking for a great Hibachi place in the area for a while and now I have found it. Everyone in this place is friendly from the moment we walked in. I ordered the Filet Mignon and chicken. All Hibachi comes with a soup and a salad with ginger dressing. It also comes with a shrimp appetizer. My son ordered a chicken dish from the kids hibachi menu. All the food was cooked perfectly. The hibachi chef also put on a great show and made my young son very happy. I am definitely coming back to this place every time I want hibachi. This place is in a large shopping center with a pretty big parking lot. I didn’t have a problem getting a spot. The only issue is the roads get very congested during rush hour and it can be very time consuming getting there.

I love their food and service! If you’re coming here for a quiet dinner turn around and go home. Theres fun being had at the Hibachi tables so it gets noisy. Jimmy the owner is great and appreciates his customers. Eat here!

The family and I love hibachi. We probably go out 2 – 3 times a year for it. We have been to mount fuji several times since they opened and we will continue to return. The food is consistent, the sushi is pretty good. Generally, hibachi is a pricey way to dine, and Mt Fuji is right in line with what you would expect to pay. If you can sit at a hibachi table with Chef Jackie, do it. He is awesome and we look forward to seeing him each time we go.

Came on Christmas day for HIbachi. The theatrics were OK and the food was not flavorful. The chicken was not seasoned enough. It was $ 22 for the chicken hibachi and even though I was really hungry, I did not even want to finish my food. Not a great option.

Came here with a group of about 10+ people for a birthday hibachi dinner. I had a lot of fun! The chef was very generous with the sake, which the birthday girl enjoyed. The food was delicious but the prices were a tad steep, especially on the drinks. I would have expected larger portions with the pricing. All-in-all, it is a cute and clean restaurant; a pleasant surprise for being located in a strip mall.

I haven’t been to many Hibachi’s, but I felt a little ripped off with the amount of food, especially the fried rice that was served. I can recall having almost a full plate of rice with my meal at other hibachi style restaurants. Nevertheless, the food was very tasty, and I definitely didn’t leave hungry, but wasn’t stuffed like I should have been for the $$ of the food. The cook was amusing as many are, but he did seem very routine and predictable. Still a pleasant visit. Would like to try again to see if it was just a bad fluke.

The food is awesome. The menu rarely changes however the selection between sashimi and rolls is a wide variety. It’s not a pricey place but the little items will add up if you are experimenting with sushi I suggest you go a few times. They have fried bananas, fried ice cream and several other off the wall desserts that will knock your socks off. They also have a bar. I’m not a drinker but my friend said the prices are quite good for a Japanese restaurant. As far as being busy weekends you should call ahead and make reservations. It is a good place for family or a date night out.

Attentive waiters. The Mt. Fuji sushi was my favorite, really fresh. Scallops in the hibachi were really big and fresh. Hibachi chef was friendly and entertaining. We just had to get the hibachi after seeing the kids in the table next to ours laughing and having fun. Green tea and red bean ice cream was one of the best I’ve ever had

Had a really good experience here. It’s one of my favorite hibachi restaurants in Nassau County. The place looks very clean and classic inside. I went for a hibachi dinner with my family for my birthday and had a wonderful time. I went to the grill area where they put on a show and it was so fun. The chefs are entertaining for both adults and children. I got the hibachi chicken and steak which were cooked perfectly. The rice, vegetables and noodles were yummy too. I recommend getting the edamame as an appetizer. A healthy option! And the dinner comes with soup and salad and a selection of two sauces which are a great addition to the meal. Love the miso soup, always a classic.

The restaurant is spacious and clean, but the food leaves something to be desired. The hibachi chicken was extremely dry. The chef messed up his«show» multiple times(couldn’t light the onions on fire the first two times he tried, dropped his spatula thingy when he was doing a toss, etc.) and the way the food was cooked, everybody was finished with the rice before the protein was put on our plate and everybody finished their protein before the vegetables were put on our plate.

— a bit overpriced for the quality of the food — I know the chefs at hibachi places are supposed to be interactive but ours was just obnoxious, I felt it really took away from the meal and honestly was a bit rude and irresponsible of the restaurant, no means no, sir. — hibachi steak was overcooked and bland — recommend: hibachi shrimp and yellowtail sashimi — fried rice was unlike any other that I’ve ever had, but not in a positive way — personable and endearing waitstaff — generous amounts of alcohol in their cocktails
