We’ve been using this place since 1994 for non-emergency and weekend visits for illness and injuries(when regular Dr. not available). Service has deteriorated markedly since Health Quest took over. In last yr. and a half, broken bones in child misread on x-rays, a flu misdiagnosed as something much more serious — and child was humiliated by young Dr. there, needlessly. A follow-up confirmation on that was never sent. When we complained, we were given a nice speech about how they«meant well» and that situation would be «investigated.» Have not heard from them since, and we will never go back.

Yesterday I had tonsillitis and my doctor didn’t have any free appointments. Rather than let the infection get worse while I waited for an appointment I decided to come here, and I was glad I did. The facility is very nice, new and clean. The staff were very kind and professional. It was a quiet night there and I was in and out in 30 minutes, with a prescription called in for me at the nearby CVS. All in all it was very easy and a very pleasant experience. I stress that this is not an emergency room – like its website says, it is for«minor afflictions that don’t require a trip to the emergency room, but can’t wait for a doctor’s appointment.» It’s not for life-threatening symptoms or long-term treatment.

First off, you can’t go to this place a half-hour before closing time. Sorry, Linda — that’s just not how this place works because they are limited with their staff.. I also can’t imagine a nurse truly going back and forth with you and no other staff getting involved. In the old Medicus? yes… it used to look like a third world clinic like from«Off the Map» before Health Quest took it over in 2009. Treatment for panic attacks is something that you really should have gone to the hospital for because you needed to be evaluated by a specialist, not by a quick«immediate treatment» clinic. The types of things that this clinic treats are colds, sprains/bruises, and things of this nature. They WON’T cast breaks, treat high complexity medical cases(like panic attacks, OB/GYN complications that require ultrasounds, etc.). Does it suck? Yes… especially when I can understand the high ER deductible. But that’s what this clinic is for — it is unfortunate that one staff person made you have a bad experience but this clinic is actually a pretty decent place to go if you need it. But please be aware, like Linda’s experience that you can’t go to a clinic for things that need to be treated at a hospital. If it feels serious to you, chances are that it is and you will be referred to the hospital even if you can’t afford it or if you think you can be treated there. All in all — this place is WORLDS better in quality of care and facility quality since Health Quest took it over. It was the best thing in the world when Medicus went away and the Health Quest clinic appeared… definitely a great place to go if you have to.
