Moving to the area recently from Philly… I’ve been in search of a good Vietnamese place to replace some of my favorite places that are not too far to drive to. This place is great! Food is awesome. Service is friendly and fast.

This is a great place. Spring and summer rolls are great starters and the peanut dipping sauce really compliments them. The phở is exceptional and plentiful. The broth is simmered for over 12 hours and you can tell… rich and tasty! The waitress is fantastic… Very pleasant and attentive while constantly working her butt off. My only negative is the strange take out style décor.

Very good Vietnamese food! Spring rolls are so fresh and delish! The phở is also really tasty. def hits the spot on a cold night. Waitress/cook/bartender might be the hardest working woman in town. She does it all

/TL;DR Honestly, nothing even remotely special. Not great, not bad. Just is. If you’re going here, go to the restaurant next door. I can’t remember the name. It’s a bakery/sandwich shop. BESTCUBAN I HAVEEVERHAD. I wish I remembered the name of it. /ATMOSPHERE Strip mall establishment. /FOOD Had the phở tai and a banh mi. The phở tai was decent. The banh mi was underwhelming. /SERVICE More expensive than what I’m used to and no options on size. Service was challenging. HOWTOREADMYREVIEWS: 1 Star — Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars — If I’m in the area, I’d pick something else. 3 Stars — I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars — I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars — I would go out of my way to dine here.

This is my favorite restaurant in the area. I’ve been a devotee of their Phở for a couple of years now but recently I’ve started trying out the rest of the menu. I have yet to try something that wasn’t delicious. The service is super friendly and the restaurant and its restroom are clean and beautiful.

I could probably be satisfied with the phở ga every time I come here, though I suppose I should explore the menu more. I’m not a phở expert, but It compares very favorably for me to phở I’ve had at Vietnamese restaurants in NYC and Boston, and in many cases better. The chicken was very tender. The phở had a strong flavor, but also numerous condiments at the table if you want more. I suspect the amount of «fixings» you get may vary based on availability. Today I got a large amount of bean sprouts and freshly sliced jalapenos. But the leaves were neither Thai basil nor mint today, they were something with which I was not familiar. The price was reasonable too. A pitcher of tea — easily enough for 3 — was steeped well, but the cups you get are very small. I had to refill every 2 sips. The décor is simple, bright, and welcoming. It’s not Chinatown, but it’s definitely good enough to get me to come back often.

Really great flavorful broth. Food came out fast and hot. Service was good and friendly. This was my second time here and was not disappointed. So nice to have some variety living up in the Hudson Valley since we moved from Brooklyn. Don’t go to Applebee’s, give something new a try! Update– 4 times now and has all been consistent and delicious!

We discovered this place while in town for an event. The service was great and attentive. I had noodle special dish with fish sauce. The sauce was a little light, I had to pour all of the sauce into my noodle to get some taste. The Chicken clear noodle soup was good. The broth was light with enough seasoning. I would come back to try other dishes on the menu when we are in town.

We’re from Vegas and I needed my noodle fix… This did the trick perfectly! We had the spring rolls and some phở tai… Next time we’re in the area were coming back!

Great Vietnamese food in a super friendly environment. We ordered several dishes including Phở, a rice dish, and several protein options. Great seasonings with lots of fresh lime balanced well with tasty fish sauce. Seriously give these guys a try, I can’t wait to get back there!

Delicious traditional Vietnamese. The food is always fresh and the service is quick and friendly. Trying the Phở with brisket or the beef salad!

OH.MY.GOD… so the first time I went to this place was in June 2013, and the place was pretty new. It definitely did not have its act together(it was when it was called ‘Phở Max’), and the food was not very good [to me at least] and was overpriced. Flash forward to this past weekend, and I was so enticed by the pictures here on Unilocal of the Tom Phở(lovely shrimp Vietnamese noodle soup) that we went here for a late Sunday night dinner with my 2 year old in tow(yes, we are the type of parents that go out with their child late for dinner. Late to bed, late waking up = sleeping in! woohoo!) The first surprise was the amazing prices on the menu — the décor is very different and a lot more formal than what it used to be back in 2013. For a massive bowl of shrimp phở, it is less than $ 9 a bowl! I am comparing this to an over $ 20 bowl of meh phở back in downtown DC in April… We ended up getting some vietnamese fried rice for my daughter, my husband got a seafood noodle bowl(we ordered a beef noodle bowl, but they got the order wrong. Still tasted good though!), and as I mentioned, I ordered the Tom Phở. Ok… so this may have been one of the MOST delicious things I’ve ever had in my life. I have eaten in many places and this was definitely the best Asian meal I’ve ever had in my life. So fresh, so perfect, so wonderful. It had a great balance of everything — and dipping the shrimp in the Hoisin sauce made it even better! I wish I could have a bowl of this soup a day — it is amazing! I can’t say enough how much this great place has improved! I can’t wait to come here again soon! LOVE it!

On a long road trip back home, my family stopped here for a late dinner on Sunday.(On a side note, I think this place changed their name somewhat recently. If you’re searching in Google Maps, Google still thinks it’s called Phở Max but it’s the right location.) This was the only Asian restaurant open late on Unilocal that we could find between Eastern Pennsylvania and the section of New York we were passing through to get to Connecticut(traveling on I84), and it definitely helped that my Vietnamese friend Thien wrote a great Unilocal review on it(check it out!). The place has a really cute modern café /froyo bar feel to it, which was thankfully devoid of the overrated stereotypical Asian décor. Great place for a date or a meal with family. In fact, this place was pretty poppin’ – during the course of our meal, there were four couples and a big group of eight friends eating here(not including takeout orders), which was pretty impressive between the hours of 8:30 — 10:00PM. Largest portion of bean sprouts to add to the vegetable phở we all ordered that I’ve ever gotten! Each bowl came out super hot, and I had to slow my eating to avoid burning my tongue. Great selection of veggies in the dish — bok choy, napa cabbage, daikon radish, carrots, broccoli, onion, and tofu. Also was happy to hear that their perfectly savory vegetable broth is MSG-free.(If you need additional flavor, they have sriracha, chili sauce, and hoisin sauce on each table.) The amount was comparable to most phở places where you pay an extra dollar for the larger size, but at this restaurant there’s only one default size. The plus to that is you get a big bowl of steaming phở for only $ 8.99. A couple of reasons that this place is close to 4 stars and not quite a perfect experience for me… As of this visit, their bubble tea is made from a powder and not fresh. I also heard a dairy-free customer trying and failing to order drinks, and it didn’t seem that they were flexible with accommodating for those with dietary restrictions(as a vegan, I sympathized). Finally, instead of a recyclable plastic container to take my soup leftovers home, they use sytrofoam, which is every environmentally-conscious person’s worst nightmare. If I’m in the area, I’ll definitely be back — albeit with my own takeout container.

After introducing her to the cuisine, the lady was craving some Vietnamese cuisine. After browsing the inter-webs, Saigon Phở was the closest and most well-received spot so we decided to give it a try. Arriving with a little more than an hour before closing, there was only one other couple there– so we had the entire place to ourselves. Well lit, plenty of tables, there’s not only a bar area up front, but also a smoothie bar out back too. We started off with the Vietnamese Spring Rolls. 3 to a plate, though small they were fresh and delicious. She had the combination phở and loved it. I didn’t order one for myself but had a sip of her broth and must say it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t come out piping hot(as it should). I on the other hand had the Vietnamese Grilled Pork with Vermicelli. This is a dish hard to mess up, and though tasty, the pork was more stir-fry than grilled and overly sweet. The prices were reasonable but the portions were small. We didn’t go for any dessert or smoothies but did enjoy a small pot of tea. There isn’t much variety in terms of Vietnamese dining in this area. And the menu is a nice collection of a bit of everything from Vietnam. Coupled with decent pricing, and late hours, I would be back to give them another try.

Went to this place on a whim. Since I moved up to the Hudson Valley from NYC I have always found it difficult to find variety. The area is filled with chain restaurants and diners, which aren’t bad, but are more or less the same. My wife and I wanted something different and I found this place. We went there for lunch and it was nothing short of awesome. This place is spaced out well, service is very good, and the phở was great. My wife got vegetarian phở, I got the beef, each a side of jasmine rice, some hot tea and vegetable spring rolls with peanut sauce for an app. The staff is super friendly and they have high chairs that actually work(most places don’t in my experience). We are definitely going to return! Oh yeah, we had bubble tea as a dessert. Man, I haven’t had bubble tea since going to Flushing on weekends for dim-sum. Anyway, definitely worth the trip from wherever you are. Looking forward to trying the Bahn-Mi next!

Being full Vietnamese, I thought this place was quite authentic and had a good variety of viet food. I was pretty impressed with it since I can’t seem to find very much Asian food on the east coast compared to where I lived most of my life in Southern California. The food itself was good quality, my boyfriend and I ordered phở with brisket, phở with meatballs, a white coffee(ca phe sua da), and an avocado shake. They were all great! The atmosphere was also pleasant, the restaurant was very clean and open, with bright walls. Service was also good, heck the food came out within 5 minutes of ordering it. The waitresses were polite and nice. It was a little pricey but I’m not going to complain when it comes to authentic food. The bowls were also as large as they should be, a big portion for most people. I will definitely be going back again, it’s so nice to find your own culture’s food!

First time trying Phở. Place is cute, service was good, not great. Not particularly warm and friendly Was kind of looking forward to trying a Bahn Mi, but was told they aren’t making it anymore, which is odd bc it’s a popular Vietnamese specialty that is on the menu and large photos advertising it hang on the walls in the resto. I had the sliced rib eye Phở and since hubs only eats fish, he had shrimp with rice and vegetables. All of our food was good, but I just didn’t find enough wow factor to drive out of my way to visit again, unless I specifically wanted Phở which I don’t see myself craving any time soon.
