An exceptional dinner tonight, the scallops and shrimp were absolutely exceptional and the beer was simply amazing, it was the Shipyard Melon and was quite strong too, LOL! But the scallops in particular were simply stunning, perfectly cooked with only a light layer of coating on them, I do not think I have had better scallops in any restaurant, EVER.

We visited Baileys the other night for dinner. The food was great but our waitress Katie was awesome. We as a couple of questions about the menu and she gave us great advice on what to order. Not only that she was very attentive to our needs and our drinks were always full. When I go out to eat I look for a place that fulfills all of these qualities and thanks to Katie all of these things were perfect. Hi Diane. I grew up in south Plymouth and I have been to Baileys numerous times. My parents to me there as a kid and I keep going back. Besides Benny’s is next door.

Not sure why this place has gone so downhill. Our family used to love it, but will no longer be going here. The service has been horrible and most of the food as well. It’s such a shame, because we have been going here for many years. Unfortunately, something would have to change before we would return. The final straw was the other night, when my daughter and I went for dinner. We were seated in a corner booth that was blocked by other booths(very odd) and no one had acknowledged us for quite sometime. I asked the hostess if she could notify our server. After 15 minutes, we still had not been acknowledged or even asked for our drink order. At that time, I addressed the issue with the hostess again and informed them that we would be living. I expressed my disappointment and we gave our business elsewhere. Such a shame!

My family and I went to Bailey’s Surf N Turf last weekend while we were staying at our house in the cape. We had heard excellent things about this place. Being a Groupon addict, we found that there was one for Bailey’s and thought we’d give it a try. Well I have to say, it was not all that everyone said it was. First of all, the parking is terrible. If you’re not there early… good luck parking. Secondly, our waitress, Katie, was not personable. Having worked in the restaurant business, I don’t like to say negative things about waitresses, but ours was not good. We gave her 20% even though her demeanor and service did not warrant it. She was not friendly or helpful at all. She seemed annoyed when we asked about what sides were available and if she had a drink menu for us to look at. For us, it is so important to have an excellent waitress is and that was far from the experience we had. Last thing I will talk about is the food. It was nothing to rave about. I got some chicken dish, it was good… but nothing I’d go back to have. Needless to say, with our experience, or lack there of, we will not be eating here again.

Just moved to the Cape and Bailey’s was recommended to us by family members. The service was pretty good, portions were good, but the food was hit and miss. The menu offers«salmon 2 ways» and the ad board outside offered a special of «salmon 3 ways.» Come to find out that neither was a complete dish offering different preparations, rather, it was«one choice of 2 or 3 ways offered,» I found that to be rather deceptive. The clams casino were excellent, so was the dinner salad. The clam chowder was pasty and tasted of raw flour. My husband’s fish and chips were also quite good, veal marsala not so much. I was given a corkscrew pasta rather than my requested linguini, the server happily took it back but when I got the correct pasta the veal was lukewarm and the pasta was so overcooked it was decimated. At that point I was not going to push my luck with returning the dish again. I just boxed it up and took it home. Still on the hunt to expand my knowledge of good restaurants on the cape

One of the better restaurants I’ve been to in awhile. The chicken soup was perfect, very well seasoned & packed with chicken. The appetizers were delicious, fresh, and served promptly. The homemade entrees were everything the menu promised & in large portions. I will definitely be back!

We go here about once a month. Keno, incredible salad and always fresh seafood. We love Baileys especially the rolls. People are friendly and always in motion for us!

Very much a family style restaurant(kids running around, wait staff loudly stacking dirty dishes behind your head, very noisy). First time there and not impressed with the food. I had the mussels– swimming in garlic, over cooked and chewy. Garlic bread was drenched in so much oil and garlic, it was soggy. Salad was ok, but dressing was warm. My meal was much the same. After I got past all the breading, the haddock was sitting in a pool of fatty oil. For a $ 20 entrée ‘surf n turf’ style restaurant, I’d expect water to be served in glass cups, not plastic, and better food preparation. Service was ok. HUGE disappointment.

I’m 29 and have been eating here as long as I can remember. Whether you dine in or take out its always good. The chowder and house salad to start is unreal. The prime rib sandwich is a favorite. Teriyaki tips and crab cakes are unreal. If you want something lite, the turkey club is wonderful but by no means small. When they have the turkey croquettes don’t pass it up. No matter what you have you will not be disappointed. Best restaurant in wareham hands down. It blows all the chains and Lindsey’s out the water. To finish get the fried cheesecake. You will be wanting to go back asap.

My family went yesterday for lunch. It was my sister and my first time, apparently my parents have been there several times over the year. We wanted to go a place that would provide a nice ride from Plymouth and allow easy access for wheelchair. We had a wonderful lunch. I ordered the Fish and Chips and Chowder. I asked for the seafood bisque(a friend said it was good) instead of chowder. The bisque was delicious with plenty of seafood including shrimp. The fish and chips were very good — not greasy and the batter was light. I would definitely order this again. Plentiful enough to split with my mom. My sister and dad had the shrimp scampi. One had the angel hair pasta and the other had rotini. Both loved it and I must admit when I tasted it — I know I will order it in the future. The meals were served with sides — both had salads. They also provide nice warm rolls for the table. I will admit we did not have drinks(except iced tea) nor dessert(we wanted to go get ice cream cones) so the bill I thought was extremely reasonable. Less than $ 50.00 for dinner sized portions. It was not crowded which was very nice. The service was very good. I will definitely go back.

Bailey’s Surf n Turf… a local establishment that is a juggernaut for sure. We have frequented Bailey’s many many times in the past. It is an establishment that is open year round and for that, the fresh ingredients, huge portions, MASSIVE menu, friendly waitresses and generous sized drinks, we are thankful. We feel we always get the most value for our dining out dollar. Of these times we have frequented, we had only one«so-so» experience, the owner, Diane quickly addressed the situation and continued to keep us as a fan of the restaurant. From the succulent burgers, prime rib and what we call ordinary dishes made with a customized flair, you can NEVER go wrong with Bailey’s! Kim, one of the waitresses is totally on top of her game! Rich and Diana, as a local resident, we thank you for the great spin on food and for your years of service to the locals as well as the tourist trade! You will continue to have our business!

Great family restaurant serving classic comfort food. Service was great — very accommodating to my wife’s vegan eating — especially since this is clearly a «meat and potatoes» type of place. I had the lobster casserole. True to the menu description it was all tail meat — just stuffing, butter, and lots of meat — perfect!

When Bailey’s says that their baked stuffed lobster is at market price, what they really mean is the market price of the Lamborghini parked outside the kitchen door. We suffered through a restaurant that smelled like Boston Harbor at low tide, only to pay $ 30 for a single chicken lobster that we have paid $ 12 for elsewhere. There is a glut of lobsters and market price has been down for three years but it’s not reflected in the prices at Baileys. For a restaurant that relies on locals in order to stay open year-round, they sure don’t mind slamming you after the tourists have left.

We came here while we were visiting his father down the Cape on 6⁄23rd. Apparently, I’m the only 1st timer there. They love the food and raved about it. I absolutely agreed… everything was delicious. Portion was very ginormous! Of course I had to try a bite of everything on the table. I had a bite of crab cakes. it came with a side crab dipping sauce-YUM! My guy’s steak tips were huge chunks of tender pieces, teriyaki style… equally delicious! When my own meal, the Fishermen’s Platter came(think it should be called the Fishermen’s Village Platter!), there were so much food around me, I had to passed up on his father’s offer, the Lobster Ravioli. By looking at all that yummy golden goodness, I immediately went into a mental food coma! I had a bite of the fish(tender n flakey), whole belly clam(Light n tender), jumbo shrimp, scallop. tasty! The only thing is that(imo), the batter is so light that it didn’t really hold on well. I like my things crunchy. I also, love their butternut squash. The leftover lasted us for the entire week! I placed the steak tips in a Ziploc bag n dunked in boiling water n cover lid. Steak turns out perfectly heated but still came out medium.

My father and I came to this restaurant during father’s day and were not very impressed. We didn’t get any seafood, but got chicken parm and a steak bomb. For an appetizer we got the potato skins, which were pretty good although before we even finished the 1st portion, our main meal came out which was a little awkward. Although my steak bomb was decent, I had to ask for peppers on a «steak bomb» which seems a little odd for me. My father was very concerned about the chicken if it was cooked all the way. The waitress didn’t seem all that interested in serving us and other waitresses didn’t seem to want to help with getting her attention. This seems like a place for regulars so if you haven’t been here before, I’d suggest elsewhere.
