Fun spot! Lobster roll was outstanding!!! great view and friendly service. Worth getting off the freeway on the way to the cape. Plenty of parking just a short walk away.

After a long day outside at the beach, Quahog Republic looked like the spot. I had been to Stash’s across the street but was looking for something new. Kind of a waste. Everything is overpriced(granted you are by the water) but the quality isn’t there. We got two salads, the ONLY two on the menu: Caesar and Garden, a chowder, and a stuffed quahog. I could have bought the stuff at the grocery store for half price. My salad was dry, doused with cheese, and tasted like horseradish. Chowder was dinky and came in a paper bowl. Quahog was good but $ 6 for ONE. Luckily I don’t have dietary restrictions, but there are barely any celiac friendly options or for vegetarians. But hey, the staff was pretty nice. And there was live music.

The waitress was very nice, and the location is pleasant. It is just barely water view. The outside area is so covered and wind screened that it is hot and airless. Which led to bugs. We were bitten by gnats and ants. We were offered bug spray, but I didn’t want the stuff on my skin or the smell with my lunch. Nor would I have sprayed near other people. The lobster roll is stone cold lobster in a toasted hot dog roll with melted butter on the side. They are nice big pieces. Too big to bite so they must be removed and cut up to eat. This is s challenge with the plastic knife and fork. Dipping cold lobster in hot butter is chemically interesting, but not too tasty. At &26 the lobster roll is a little higher than most area places. They charged us $ 2 to split it. They charged us nothing to split a stuffie. If we had each ordered one item we could have saved &2. Beer in a plastic cup was good and reasonable. When the bugs got to us we packed our sandwich and left. At home I chopped the meat and added a touch of mayo.

How can you screw up a lobster roll? Well, you make sure the meat is previously frozen, then you make sure it’s still too cold to be palatable, then you do nothing, not even cut it into reasonable size, you just throw the cold, fishy smelling meat on a roll. I couldn’t even cut it first try with my plastic knife because it was so tough. The quahog chowder was like wallpaper glue, thick and flavorless and too hot to eat. Both of us burned the tops of our mouthes. The bag of Cape Cod chips was good!

Went today for the first time and loved it! Great little area-fantastic views and atmosphere. We loved the vibe here, and our food and drinks were really good. We both got chowders, and I got the fish tacos which were tasty. Cannot wait to go back again and again this summer.

Friendly bartenders and waitstaff. We walked in Friday night — group of 7. They accommodated us quickly. It’s a chill spot with live music on the weekends and a local spot for grabbing a beer at night. Had the Cubano sandwich — too big for me to finish but i got some help from folks sitting at my table. It was a solid pork sandwich for when you’re tired of seeing all the seafood around.

I am furious and insulted… we went to this place to have a drink and fried clams. they don’t do fried clams but we were siiting on the outside bar having a drink so we figured we would split a lobster roll. when I got the bill I could not even believe what I saw… we had drinks and a $ 26 lobster roll(they are about $ 15 everywhere else). They actually charged us a $ 1.00 because we split the sandwich. We dropped $ 50 and he insulted us by charging us a lousy buck. Well I hope it was worth the dollar because I will never go back… maybe that is why it wasn’t real busy on a Sat afternoon… I will stick with Lindsey’s and Bailey’s…they don’t need the dollar so much that they insult their customers.

I’m going to update my rating to 4 stars after today’s visit. These folks work really hard to make sure everyone is satisfied. Had chowder and Indian Neck oysters on the half shell with a few Naukabout drafts. Nice night for the outside seating. Good value and great spot on the beach in Onset. Gonna try to come by boat next time

Best place to go! Hands down! Nice outdoor deck over looking Onset Bay, The employee’s, owners are very personable and friendly, Best burgers and of course, best bacon you can get anywhere! They also have a loyalty card,(5 percent off). Tom and Erik know how to put the fun in this trendy place. The manager Kim is great, Miss customer service, will do anything for the customer. Matt the cook is great and fun also. This place goes out of their way for their customers. Though the menu is limited, there is something for everyone. They make great drinks, they also do infused drinks. Plus, if you want the best bloody mary, come here, they serve them with bacon! If you like people watching, meeting new people and want a great time and experience. Check this place out!

Friendly staff, a good beer selection and a delicious — and large — lobster roll = a great time with my sister, bother, their spouses and a neice. Make sure to check out the cheesy gravy fries!

The ONLY thing good about this place are the location and the servers. The food is inedible. The chowder was awful, full of flour lumps, even the stuffed quahog was awful. The truffle fries(which I had thought used to be good) were not good, either. It’s a pity. The spot is beautiful and the people are very nice. :(

This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, fun drinks and great food. It’s small but don’t let it fool you. I had a pineapple infused coconut rum shot that was delicious. I’ve also had a Bloody Mary that was amazing. The quahogs are delicious, and everything is cooked in front of you at the bar. Cubano is also amazing. Definetely recommend checking this place out.

Doesn’t live up to the hype. Very limited seating, they have this narrow bar/bench high top thing outside that should be replaced with 2 rows of tables and they could increase seating capacity. Indoors is pretty characterless and the«bar» faces the cooking stations so there’s no view of the water. Menu is very limited and they were out of Cape Cod beer and the Sam seasonal but had Shipyard from Maine(nice local touch). This could be so much better and the location and advertising keeps it fairly busy so they must do ok. For the money, food and view I’d head across the street to Stash’s.

I wish I could remember her name, but the waitress we had was fantastic! I found the food to be a little pricey. I got a basic sandwich –that I was happy with. My boyfriend said his meal was a bit dry and missing some of the ingredients/condiments described on the menu. Every one else is our party seemed happy with their food. The place is small –and can get crowded, but overall, I love the atmosphere.

Pleasantly surprised at this unpretentious beach bar/restaurant right across from Onset Beach. Thought stuffed quahog wasn’t very different from a decent stuffed clam. Not sure what we were expecting. Good quahog chowder(served nice and hot). Pulled pork sandwich special was very high quality with a nice vinegary sauce, good cole slaw and nicely toasted roll. Corn flake and almond crusted crunchy fish and chips was a hit. Veggies burger a cut above the usual dry fare. Seared tuna sandwich special decent as well. Not a major restaurant, but perfect place for a thoughtfully cooked sandwich and a drink.

Service 5 stars Blueberry beer 5 stars Stuffed quahog 5 stars. This the best stuffed Quahog I have ever eaten at a restaurant period. Although Lindsey’s quahogs are very good. There clam chowder is also 5 stars. Nicely seasoned, creamy, lots of clams. This restaurant has the best chowder /quahog duo for a supper or lunch. The only downfall is the prices. I spent 18 dollars for a Quahog, Chowder and Beer.

Not much was right with two different trips here in the first year. Thankfully they are open now for a second year and their is an AMAZING improvement with food and drinks. They had the ‘Shipyard’ Monkey Fist IPA and I was floored, an amazing beer.
