Country Charm Bakery

This bakery is a real find! I stumbled upon this new bakery in my quest for a last-​minute birthday cake. It was the end of the day and all that was left was a cake that was just a little too small for our party. Diane, the charming owner, went out of her way to make sure I left with what I needed. I wondered whether it might be possible to add half-​cupcakes around the edges, and before I knew it, Diane was cutting and frosting and decorating up a storm— and created a sumptuous cake. I’ll add a picture when I get to my iPhone! The cake was not only beautiful and unique, but it tasted fabulous. It had a REAL buttercream frosting, not that slimy stuff bakeries often pawn off as buttercream. It had a real, homemade taste, and even my foody friend had seconds. It really topped off a great birthday celebration. I’ll be stopping by this morning to pick up some Danish pastries !
