The Breakfast Nook

Excellent food and service. I was passing through on the way home from a weekend on the Cape for an event at Mass Maritime. I got the «Big Deal,» which had two eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, and French toast. All were cooked to my liking. Server was wonderful. I was in and out, but I enjoyed it and would go again.

First let me say the owners and staff are super nice! This has been the only place we go for breakfast for the past couple of years! Always had great service and food was great too!
However for some reason the past few months, the food has been lacking and it takes twice as long to be served. We went this morning and it took over a half an hour to get our food. Several other tables who came in after us were served and done with their food before we even received ours. We had to ask where our order was. Several other customers also had to do the same.
The food has also changed. In the past I was always very pleased with the quality but it seems different and just not as good now.
I hope the owners take this as constructive criticism because it seems like they have worked very hard to build their business. I would hate for them to be unaware of potential problems.

Great service. Great food… Killer hash!!! We will definitely be returning there on all morning trips to or from the cape! I love a small place where everyone knows each other and smiles at you too!

Love it. Coffee is hot pancakes great. Can be busy but worth the wait.

My family and I went to this place for breakfast on vacation yesterday morning. A lot of disappointments but not the worst.
–first of all, we were waiting FOR EVER. There was a table not even being used because they ran out of chairs, and a group of people done eating waiting for their check for 15+ minutes. It’s a small place! Priority should be turning tables when you have 4+ families waiting!!!
–then we sat down and already knew what we wanted to eat. Took a very long time to get waited on. All the employees seemed to be very busy but I could see other tables has the same look on our faces, like WTH?!

–got our food, got «the works». It was phenomenal! Great food. Hands down. That’s where the 2 stars comes into place.
— not one time while we ate did anyone come up, ask us if we need a refill, ask if everything was good, nothing.
— we had to wait so long to get our check I had to get up and ask for it. We told the girl bussing tables «check please, thank you!» And she looked right at us, smiled and said OK then didn’t do it. Guessing she didn’t hear us and instead of asking what? She just ignored us.
–after I told the manager I need my check, she apologized for the wait, went in the back, and continued to do other things for 5+ minutes while we waited.
Overall, we spent about an hour and 45 min at this place (about an hour longer than it should take to walk in order and omelette eat and leave. –3 stars. Prioritize! You clearly have a great customer base and it’s time to work on the little things.

Super food! Nice clean restaurant. Friendly staff, quick service! The iced coffee hit the spot! The muffins looked fantastic! Sadly I did not have room to eat one after I finished my breakfast of 2 eggs over easy (cooked perfect) sausage, pumpernickel toast and the most delicious home fries ever!!! Will definitely make this a go to place when I am in Onset!!!

Wow. This place was great. There cinnamon roll was to DIE FOR and my son ate every bit of his pancakes. The baked goods were coming out of the oven as we arrived and everything looked outstanding. Scrambled eggs were very good, service was excellent. The only complaint and the reason this review is 4 stars and not 5 is that the bacon was really, really overdone. If you like «crumbly», go for it. Prices were an incredible value. Breakfast for 2 for $ 14? Amazing.

This place is a gem in the hole. Great food with fresh fruit topping which is hard to find on the road and great prices. I would definitely stop here and recommend it

Great little breakfast nook, pun intended. Food is wonderful, service is top notch and prices are extremely reasonable. Strawberry rhubarb muffin is a must try but not available every day it seems which is disappointing because it is so good. Overall great breakfast, will visit again.

Go in either door. Seat yourself if there’s room. Kind of a small place but really popping while we were there. Staff was right on top of things and it didn’t matter that we weren’t regulars. Food was good and the potatoes were better than I’ve had out here so far. Coffee was always topped off. They even had a little bar type thing for singles.

Been here a couple times and the food has been delicious! Fast service and it was packed both times we went. Plan on going again!

Love the turkey hash. Our favorite place for breakfast. Great staff and owner. Not 5 stars cause they don’t have the hash everyday.

I really don’t understand all the hype about this place. We decided to stop here for breakfast based on the reviews on our way back from a long weekend on the cape. The food was eh at best nothing all the memorable if you ask me.

I stopped by and had a great experience. The staff was checking in to make sure everything was great and to make sure my coffee was refilled. I hate going to a place and getting your order and never seeing a server again.
The MUFFINS are fantastic! Please do yourself a favor and get one with your order or better yet make a grilled muffin and coffee your order.

Very good service and well priced. You walk away full and very awake thanks to wonderful coffee.
