I started going here when they opened up and haven’t stopped. We are usually there once a week, we started doing tequila Tuesdays because of their great tasting Margaritas. The food is good, I tend to stick with the chicken dishes but have tried mostly everything and haven’t had any complaints. The table side guacamole is a must have if you like quac, the different between table side and the regular stuff is night and day(plus it’s made to order so you can add or leave out ingredients). If you like Mexican food, Great drinks, a nice atmosphere and a great staff, be sure to visit this place.

El Mariachi is a fun, inviting place with impressive food and drink options. The atmosphere and décor are made up of a combination of bold color choices and subtle earth tones that provide the restaurant with an authentic feel –which is paralleled in their amazing dishes. If you haven’t been there(or just haven’t tried it yet), order the tableside guacamole! YUM!!! Plus, I find it fascinating to watch the server prepare it! I can’t say it enough: the food at El Mariachi is top notch! Any time anyone merely mentions a craving for Mexican, I recommend this place without hesitation! I have introduced all my friends to El Mariachi and purchased gift cards for relatives who(for some reason, still) hadn’t tried it yet. Every single meal I have had there has been beyond delicious! The cocktails are also tasty and beautifully crafted –I highly recommend the cucumber margarita! The restaurant does get crowded sometimes and it can be a bit warm in there –but that certainly hasn’t deterred this patron! I usually sit at the bar and have never been disappointed with the service. The staff at El Mariachi is both professional and friendly. Every person working the bar has been pleasant and personable –and they damn sure know how to make a drink!

Amazing Margaritas to enjoy with warm chips and salsa. Perfect tamales, great chili rellenos, and chicken enchiladas. We look forward to our next visit and trying more things on the menu!

After a few visits i saw the son of the owner pass something on the sly to the guy next to me. Ok that’s fine. Whatever. A cpl weeks later went in for a drink they didn’t let me finish. There was a young child standing at the bar with a man drinking at 9PM ! A lady approached them talking. I motioned for her to come over and voiced my opinion that it was not a good surrounding for the young boy. A minute later i was being escorted by the son of the owner of the bar as the women yelled at me! Really! And we wonder why our kids are failing! : —(

Was visiting colleges with my daughter and the owners of our Airbnb suggested this place. Good was affordable & delicious! I had tamales and my daughter had a chicken burrito. Fast service(although our waiter had the personality of a wet rag!) Really cute décor too! Would go back.

I love it here. Used to go to the Taunton loc all the time and was happy it opened up the street. Luis and his staff are awesome. They are friendly and remember you, they always treat you like u are a vip. The food is awesome. I have never had a salty dish or anything else bad. I love the rice(ya some people say bland, but you mix the lettuce and tomatoes and mmmm mmm good!). If people want fast service, there’s a taco bell on cranberry hiway. Slow down people, life’s to short to have waiting to complain about. I love this place. End of story.

Nothing special here, stopped in with a friend because it’s a good location for us both but the food was not great. The service was probably the worst part of the experience. I’m not sure if the dining room closes earlier then the bar but the servers were seated and eating(I get they need to eat too that’s totally fine) so I kept looking at our server hinting like maybe we could get the check and you can wrap things up here– he wasn’t picking up on it so we say waiting for the check for 25mins… We only get chips and salsa(good but definitely not homemade tortilla chips which saddens me) and nachos. The nachos were loaded down to the point where the chips were getting soggy? I mean they tasted fine but who wants soggy chips? We had a margarita and sangria that were good, prices were really reasonable overall just really blah.

This is your friendly local food /drink stop. Anytime I’ve been here the owner is always walking around enduring satisfaction is delivered. He really cares about his customers. Drinks. Omg free poured and big. Free chips/salsa. My b“tender Rojo is great people person. Food. Full menu — never a complaint from us. Plenty of parking, elbow room and space to enjoy yourself. You have to at least stop in and test it for yourself. Especially if having bday! Best Mexican in the town.

Great full bar — food was hot and tasty — manager does everything to make you feel welcomed and at home — some of the wait staff seems«lost» — for the most part very happt

This place started at 2* then went to 3* and has now(just barely) reached 4*. This is a good sign. Either they are just getting better with experience, or they are reading the reviews and using the information to their advantage. The $ 5.50 special margaritas have gotten better over time. I now find them somewhat above average. This is an improvement over previous visits. In the past, I did not like their chimmechangas. I figured out that it was missing cheese inside, which I consider an essential ingredient. So this time I asked them to add cheese inside and it came out fine. The staff is quite accommodating. Everything else was fine(not great) as well. Since this place seems to keep getting better, I will keep going there to see where they end up.

This was seriously very good. Coming from someone who works in a restaurant, I couldn’t find one thing less than perfect. My friend and I both had Laredo Chimichangas and they were amazing. The chili con queso sauce on top was very very tasty. Service was great, when we asked for hot sauce our server brought us a few different ones to try one being their homemade hot sauce that was amazing. Prices were reasonable we both had a drink and lunch for around 35 $ total. We will definitely be back!

Best in the upper cape. You want Mexican ? You have it here. Luis is the manager, if u have a problem, ask for him, he’ll correct any problem you have. The Chill Rellenos are to die for… Dos Equis on tap is the best tap beer on the planet. I love this place

Ok third try. Bar service was great Saturday but seemed pressured. First time we were able to get food other than chips. Chips seemed packaged, little flavor to dip. Full meals seemed bland. The other local Mexican Resteraunt tastes like fresh preparation, fresh cilantro etc. Last chance. We will stick with Casa Cancun.

The prices are extremely good for what you get, food was awesome try the carne asada, very tender and juicy. The guacamole is a must, i can tell it is homemade. The chips and salsa are also very good. It would be good if there were more waiters but other than that i loved it, definately coming back soon!

Very authentic place and a much needed bit of Mexico in this humble burg. Excellent mole sauce and the house pepper sauce is just right too. Clean and festive atmosphere, large array of entrees to choose from and warm chips and fresh salsa . Our barkeep Kayla was excellent and makes a killer ‘Rita. All the staff is friendly and helpful and seems to enjoy being here.

Nice atmosphere and pretty décor. Nice bar set up. Very slow service — understaffed — though waitress Ashley was wonderful. Food subpar other than the free chips and salsa. VERY salty! My grilled chicken caesar salad was 10.25 and consisted of 2 flat dried up ozs of chicken on maybe 2cps of romaine and a sprinkle of parmesan. LAME. Do not go here to eat. Unless you want to spend lots of money on bad food.

Excellent! First time at this new location for this local favourite and the results were great. El Mariachi/Wareham is located in the old town center, away from the Rte. 28 madness and well worth the short drive. Nothing ground breaking here, but if you like Mexican food, you’ll love this resto. Their salsa is excellent. Started with the«Tableside Guacamole» — some the best guac we have ever enjoyed, though not made Tableside probably because space was at a premium on this very busy Wednesday evening. Nonetheless, we could see our order being made just outside the kitchen. Delicioso! We each had an El Mariachi combo, among our order were an enchilada, chimichanga, tostadaa, tamale, and an excellent Chili Releno. Very good service, especially considering the place has only been open a month. Nice interior. Parking no problem. We will be back.

We have been waiting for El Mariachi to open and finally on Cinco de Mayo we saw the small sign lit up that said OPEN. Apparently we were not the only ones waiting for opening day as we walked into a packed restaurant at 5pm. The food was amazing! Fresh authentic Mexican dishes, menu is extensive. I can’t wait to work my way through it. Had a steak burrito with refried beans and rice. The Margaritas are large and authentic,(no Margarita mix). So happy to have this spot so close to home. Will be a go to spot for us.
