Frankensteins

My fiancée and I were exploring the Wareham main street and chanced upon Frankenstein’s. It is conveniently located by one of the main parking areas and has well kept and cheerful picnic tables for outdoor seating, complete with a very colorful Frankenstein mural. We came close to their closing time but the person there was very friendly and we ordered several items to go to take back to a larger group of hungry family members back home.
All of the food was very good. We had gotten an assortment of cheese burgers and hotdogs. I got a pulled pork hotdog which was surprisingly good.
What really put things over the top for us though was that while we were waiting to pick up the food my fiancée accidentally left her wallet on one of the picnic tables. We didn’t know this at the time and spent the evening searching our lodgings up and down. The next day we stopped by Frankensteins «just in case» and as it turns out the same person who was there the day before (we assume he is the owner) had been trying to track us down, searching facebook, etc. to get in contact with us. I realized he had really gone above and beyond — and this was really appreciated.
Great comfort food, ideal outdoor seating, easy parking and fantastic service — I really like Frankenstein’s.

The service was very polite. The food took a little long but worth the wait. best fish sandwich I’ve had in along while. The outdoor seating is great for kids. They only have big hotdogs but the kids split one. The server even cut it in half and plated it just right for my little ones. Definitely would go again.

Hot dog is super flavorful. Larger than your average hot dog shack dog.
Only people there. Took quite awhile. Over priced.
Hot dog was so good will probably go back. Not as often as I would if price was more reasonable.

Quick, friendly service and great food. The burgers are nothing special (but definitely good!), the dogs are where it’s at. Will definitely be back!

Just average, actually not very good.

There is a creative hot dog menu with lots of fun choices and non hot dog items as well. The specials are homemade, the food came out quick, and the people behind the counter were super nice. This is a hot dog joint with outside seating, if you’re looking for a different type of environment than this is not your type of place, but I loved it!

I grew up in an area where hot dogs are an art form.
If I ordered a hot dog at any random restaurant in this area I would expect to get nothing reassembling a taste treat, and I would be right. However, I had much higher expectations going to a place that specializes in hot dogs.
There are many different toppings offered and you are likely to find a topping that meets your desires. However, under all of the toppings is still a low class dog no different than you would likely get at a high school football game.
The prices seemed reasonable, but I would much rather spend more and get a better quality dog cooked over a grille.

Large and very tasty selection of hot dogs and linguica dogs, all in steamed buns. Other menu items such as meatball subs, stuffed quahogs, chicken strips and much more are there for those who want something other than the dogs. Quick, friendly service and great prices keep me coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

Great new place in Wareham a few notches above the ubiquitous hot dog carts. Cool little building behind Brennan’s Smoke Shop and kitty corner from Piper Beau’s. Décor has the funky monster ambiance with friendly service from the family that runs the place. Many, many dog styles and combos and very good stuffies. Take out of eat on the deck with picnic tables and umbrellas. Clean, well run business that is a good alternative to the chain fast food joints for a quick, tasty lunch.
