Very slow service. It may have been just the girls working on the line but I waited over 25 mins to get the gobbler sub. I had gone up there 3 times to ask because other customers that had ordered after me had got their food before me. I finally just asked to get a refund because it was taking too long and the ladies in line were being very rude and giving me an attitude. about how my friend had already got her food and I was the only one waiting. I understand that when it gets busy it’s hard to get orders done, but they pushed me behind at least 8 other customers. The cashier was very polite and told my friend and I could have refunds and keep our chips and drink. I’ve heard many good things about this place but overall first experience was awful and will not come back or recommend.

Stopped to grab lunch while on a road trip from Georgia to Florida. Food was decent but the person who did the prep of our food was rude. She acted like she was doing us a favor. Won’t be returning there since it was off the beaten path from the highway.

Very good sandwich but needs more meat. The salad was awesome and made to order. I will definitely go back when in town.

Everytime I come here I order the Momma’s Love sandwich with everything but the brown mustard. I don’t recommend the Dorritos chips with cheese it just never seems fresh when I have then but I still get everything go because it looks good.

Tried moma’s love. it’s fair perhaps. I much prefer Firehouse subs. The cookies on the other hand was dynamite(i would come back for the cookies)

Was driving by at lunch time and a friend made me stop, telling me how she loved the sandwiches here. Didn’t have much of a choice so we stopped for lunch and I have to say I don’t regret stopping. She ordered me the Bull Rider since it was her idea to stop, it was her job to impress me. Sandwich was excellent, not a huge sandwich but with nachos and a drink more than adequate for lunch. Reasonable prices and clean friendly environment. Definitely a place I will try again.

This place is great. The steaming of the meat and cheese together gives every sandwich a awesome taste that is different than any other sub place around. Salads are good. Nachos are the best. Love me a turkey ruben.

Portions are small but sandwiches are tasty! The steamed sandwich is deliciously different. Way better than Subway but not as good as Panera bread. The Buff Nachos are amazing!

We love Mama G’s! They even have vegetarian options. I like the veggie rider. Try it out! Very good! Also we like the coupon on Unilocal

This place originated in Auburn, AL and was a favorite of mine when I was living there attending school. I live in Macon now but drive down to get my fix. No one else does steamed sandwiches the way they do — always hot and delicious! I think people who know nothing about this place are the ones who tend to not like it — that’s probably why they think the sandwiches are«soggy» tasting when they clearly aren’t. A gobbler with an order of nachos is heaven on earth!

Let me start off by saying the food here never disappoints. I go with a mommas love or chicken breast on a bagel. The customer service is hit or miss and there never seems to be a manager/supervisor/leader presence. Sometimes the dining room is not clean and the staff just stands around talking. They took my favorite item off the menu the buff burrito sometimes I can luck up and get someone that’s been there a while remembers the sandwich and will make it for me other times they look at me dumbfounded and say they won’t make it when I KNOW they have the ingredients in hand since they serve buff nachos. The blinds were taken off the front windows and they need to be replaced or the windows tinted. The food is hands down awesome just needs some customer service training and modifications to the dining room.

Good food. They need an option to produce a really big thick NYCity or Chicago style meat piled high corned beef or pastrami sandwich.

The five star is a combination of many things. Customer service was three of the stars out of the five total. Friendly, and helpful since I had never went inside, thus was trying this for the first time. The other two stars go to the steaming of the sandwich, which was very nice and the Italian meats overall were pretty good. Next time will try it with a coupon to get more sandwiches.

Had a coupon for a really great deal for Mommas so tried it for the first time. Overall pretty good! Yes the sandwiches are a bit soggy, but they’re steamed, that’s the point! You can ask for them plain but personally I like the softness the steaming adds to the sandwich. I got my Mommas Love all the way minus the tomato and mayo. I like that they include spicy mustard in their fully loaded option, really great! Good atmosphere in a nice little dining room. Friendly staff — just took awhile to order/receive our food. Overall, a good place to stop in for a nice and decently cheap lunch! Will be back.

Food was mediocre. Wasn’t a fan of the soggy bread. Sandwich felt like it was supposed to be warm but had cooled off too much when we ate it. Not BAD food, just nothing special. Firehouse is better. Panera is WAY better.

I come here periodically. I like it. I read some earlier reviews speaking on the quality of the food. It’s good food. Someone also talked about how soggy their sub was. If you don’t get it steamed then it won’t get soggy. Of the times I come here I have been greeted in a timely manner and served promptly.

This was my second visit to Mama’s — the first was on their opening day. Went in on a Sunday afternoon and saw several people standing around — I was a bit confused when i went to the counter under one of the two«order here“signs and no one seemed interested in taking order. I finally asked one of the other people if they had ordered and then was told by a guy behind the counter that i should just stand there with the others and when they were ready to take my order they would call me up. I ordered a salad — reasonably priced but disappointed when i saw the finished product — lettuce looked as if it was old — very wilted and more brown than green — by the time i piked off the bad spots there was not much left but the 4 things i could add. Very disappointed
