All my visits have been pleasant, the food is really good and so is the service. Great value.

Have been here many times. Have frequented all of the Italian restaurants nearby and in the general vicinity. Best one in the area. Very friendly owner and staff. Excellent food with ample portion sizes. Sauces are great. Nice selection on the menu and great specials. They don’t rush you. Other Italian restaurants in the area such as Alfies and Prezzo’s don’t come close to this quality. One other thing; I hate when restaurants try to clear your plate when others are still eating. They should clear plates when everyone at the table is finished eating. Bruno does it the right way. Only clear when all are finished. I recommend this place very highly.

Came here for lunch with a few coworkers. Ordered the Broiled Crab Cakes(«Made with fresh crab meat and finished in a lemon butter white wine sauce») with roasted potatoes and a salad. I don’t recall the price exactly, but I believe it was about $ 12. It was delicious! However, be mindful that, although the menu item is plural, you only get one(albeit, large) crab cake with you

NOTBAD, but I can’t justify the 4.5 star rating posted here on Unilocal. Here’s my take. Nice place inside considering it’s in a strip mall. Very friendly staff, with excellent service. We made reservations, and got seated immediately upon arrival in a very nice booth with high walls. Bruno, the owner, introduced himself with a very charming, warm, smile. Very nice man. It’s BYOB, so the staff opened our wine, and immediately poured all of our drinks, including water, and then gave us a free appetizer of bruscetta with beans, tomato, garlic, olive oil, etc. Very tasty. We started with raw oysters on the half shell. Small, but VERY fresh, and very delicious. Then we got the antipasto. Again, very fresh, and tasty, and a fair portion size. Then we ordered the following: EGGPLANTROLLATINE MUSSELS PENNE FREERANGECHICKENBREAST ATLANTICSALMON LARGEDIVERSEASCALLOPSANDSHRIMP All the dishes were good, to very good. The only criticism I would mention would be that the Salmon was slightly over cooked, as were the scallops and shrimp. And the risotto tasted more like plain rice than it did risotto as it was super al dente and NOT very creamy. I think the PENNE was probably the best dish of the night. Good portion size, and very well executed, although none of the food was served piping hot. It was as if it was sitting under the heat lamps, or at the pass a bit too long. Lastly, the portion sizes for the price was a tad small compared to so many other places I’ve been to of the same, or better quality. All in all, it was still pretty good, and I would go back and give it another try next time I’m in the area.

Bruno’s is a great BYOB located in the Warren A&P strip mall. Note that google maps is not accurate, it sends you on a street behind the strip mall. Its a relaxed Italian restaurant that has many terrific, reasonably priced items on the menu. I’ve never had anything that I didn’t think was very good to great. The staff has always been very friendly and makes you feel like one of the family. There is a small waiting area, and I mean small, so expect to stand when the place is busy and you are waiting for a table. They take reservations. The place gets busy on Friday nights and weekends, so its best to make one. They have both booth and table seating, and offer takeout. Its a great option in Warren for a good meal at reasonable price.

My husband and I love coming here and we’re first introduced by a friend. As soon as you walk through the door, you are welcomed genuinely like family. The food is excellent. Pasta fresh! Best gnocchi I’ve had! Service is wonderful as well. What more could you ask for. It is BYOB and combined with the food makes for a wonderful meal and experience.

I have ordered from here twice for lunch and have yet to be disappointed. The first time I ordered the chicken francese from the lunch menu I was taken away with the size of the meal. It came with roasted potatoes veggies and a salad. The second time I ordered the crab cakes came with the same sides. But the lemon sauce it comes in is mouth watering delicious! Has the taste of garlic which is a favorite of mine. Will be a regular customer here!

I went to Bruno’s Bistro with a group of friends for dinner. The food was great. Everybody in my party of 5 loved their food. I had the trout with capers and spinach and it was really fresh with a balanced taste. Another person ordered the short ribs with risotto, another the salmon and another the fettuccine with pesto sauce(somebody else had the trout as well). We didn’t have dessert but the dessert menu looked really yummy. The service was great. Even though we were the last ones to leave on a Wednesday night, nobody rushed us. I will definitely come back.

Went to dinner here with 3 of my friends to celebrate a birthday. Even though we showed up early for our reservation, they were quick to accommodate us. Service was super attentive & food was spectacular. The house salad appetizer was great. Also tried theyr cajun calamari appetizer & was so good, that we ordered a second one. Steak was made to perfection. Great experience!

Everything about this place is amazing. The food is some of the best you can get anywhere in NJ and is priced reasonably for the exceptional quality. I am a picky eater but I don’t believe I have ever had anything here I did not enjoy. The ambiance is comfortable and Bruno and his brother Bess(they run the place) are wonderful people to chat with while you are there. With out a doubt my favorite restaurant, hands down.

Was just there for dinner… appetizers were excellent as was dinner n dessert. …only complaint was that after dinner was served no one came back to ask if dinner was okay or if anything was wrong n although everything was excellent… checking in would have been proper

Food was excellent. The gnocchi’s were the best we have ever had. The veal parm was excellent and the crab cakes were delicious. We will definitely be back.

We had to wait 40 minutes past the time of our reservation to be seated. Service was painfully slow — took 3 hours to eat dinner as a result. Food was mediocre at best. Not worth the wait!

Cozy place in a strip mall in Warren. We ordered the cold antipasto, which consisted of Italian meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables, roasted peppers, and olives over mixed greens. Definitely enough for two or three people to share. The bread was served warm, which is always a plus in my book. My friend had the stuffed chicken, which was nicely prepared. I had the scallops and shrimp over risotto. This dish was very disappointing. The scallops were tiny and rubbery. The shrimp tasted good but were a little overcooked. The risotto was cooked correctly but was a little too rich with a thick butter sauce at the bottom of the plate. I ordered the Tartuffo for dessert, which was awesome. Espresso was also very good. The place is BYOB, which is always a plus. They also give you after dinner drinks, which is a nice gesture. Service was somewhat slow as it seems the owner is the only person who takes orders, but he was cordial and made sure to greet us when we walked in and to say good bye when we left. The owner needs to do something about the table by the window. Once the strip mall lights go on outside, it is like stadium lighting if you sit at the table by the window, which is exactly where we were. Not very pleasant.

Bruno’s Bistro is a quaint little Italian restaurant located in a strip mall in Warren Twp. The décor is on the fancy side; borderline gaudy. The restaurant has a pretty extensive menu to pick from including pasta, chicken, beef and seafood dishes. There are some interesting items on the menu as well such as the«Cajun Calamari». We decided to try the calamari and enjoyed it’s unique flavor. It’s not spicy at all but rather tangy due to the balsamic vinegar used when preparing it. They were pretty tender served with diced tomatoes and scallions. For our entrees I ordered the potato crusted halibut served over sautéed spinach. I thought it was pretty good but a little bland for my liking. Wife ordered the fussili pasta with plum tomatoes, sauteed onions, prosciutto, garlic and fresh herbs. She really enjoyed it. I was told you have to get there early on weekends but we had no problem getting a table at 630 on Friday night. It’s a BYOB restaurant and there is a liquor store located a couple of stores down in the strip mall. Definitely worth a try if you like Italian food.

This place is great. I came in with a large party and there was a wait but the staff made it up to us by giving us all sorts of delicious apps on the house. The food and the service was wonderful.

We discovered Bruno’s because we wanted to find a BYOB that has good food and that was close to home. We didn’t expect this place to be in a strip mall. Seating is limited so it’s best to make reservations. Their staff are very welcoming and accommodating. We have been there numerous times with friends and as a couple and have always had a great experience. If you like calamari, you’ll love the Cajun Calamari as a starter. It’s a nice balance of savory and sweet with the calamari cooked to perfection. The Eggplant Rollantine is very good too. Every meal has always been fabulous. How else to end a great meal but with great desserts? I never have room so I end up taking it home. Order the cannoli. You’ve never had cannoli like this before. The shell is formed out of slivered almonds coated in honey, the ends dipped in chocolate then filled with their cannoli filling. Drool.

Bruno’s is a good restaurant in an unusual location. It’s in a strip mall! The staff are really nice and accommodating. The décor gives the place a dressier feel. The food is much better than average and very affordable. Bruno’s is a hidden gem. The complimentary bruschetta is delicious AND you get a complimentary loaf of bread. We ordered the spicy calamari. It was cooked well and had a tangy spicy flavor. I think I’d stick to plain calamari next time. My salmon meal was cooked perfectly and flavorful. My brother ordered the ricotta gnocchi. The gnocchi were sumptuous– like the inside of an incredibly good ravioli. Food servings are just right– plenty to eat, but you can take some home if you are on a diet. Everyone in my party of 5 loved their food. We were too stuffed to choose anything from the dessert platter. Its BYOB. The staff are quick to open bottles and serve. My NJ family had been there once before and loved it. Brunos in a great place and I am looking forward to going back next time I visit NJ.
