This place is close to home so it is convenient. The people are nice but the old man behind the counter is the best. If they don’t have what your looking for they can get it for you.

It is a party store so the prices are usually kind of high. The selection is limited but they hold onto some stock a little longer than most places i.e. Hopslam, KBS, and Backwoods Bastard. The selection is alright, but awesome for what it is. They don’t carry any Dark Horse seasonals though.

For a party store, this place has a larger than average beer selection. Since I’m a big fan of beer, I tend to notice a nice selection. They also seemed to have a wide variety of the hard stuff as well, but not a lot of wine. Back to the beer selection. There were a good amount of Michigan microbrews: Bells, Dark Horse, Arbor Brewing, Leopold Brothers, Founders, Dragonmeade, etc. There were some other out of state microbrews that we don’t usually see here in Chicago, so I wasn’t that familiar with them. The store also has a decent selection of imported beers from Europe, including Belgians. Be sure to check the dates on your beer, because it seems the good stuff doesn’t sell very quickly. They also have a nice little feature. They have a rack of single bottles that you can mix and match to make your own 6 packs. It’s an awesome way to try out new beers without purchasing an entire 6 pack. Don’t expect much help from the staff when selecting the perfect beer, because they don’t seem to be very knowledgeable. However, they did carry our purchases to our car for us.
