Store manager called me after my review, apologizing and asking for a call back to smooth things over. I called back and identified myself and my complaint. She said a call back wasn’t necessary, but I insisted she understand the issues. She just agreed with me that the grilled cheese sucked, the cheese was fake, but the next time I came in the fries would be better. I simply let her know there wouldn’t be a next time. Seriously, this is why good management gets another shot no matter how bad the experience, but bad management can go to hell. Five Guys, double big thumbs down.

It’s tough to screw up a burger, especially when it’s pretty much your only job. Well, I guess fries are their job, too. Let me say that they do both of these jobs really well. When you walk in, you’re greeted by the amazing smells of fresh ground beef being grilled to perfection. You are welcomed by the large boxes of peanuts and bags upon bags of potatoes. Then when you order, the friendly staff just wants to know how much food you’re going to eat. It’s a beautiful system. One patty or two? Most of the time I roll with two patties because… meat. Two patties makes for an enormous behemoth that you can barely wrap your lips around. My burger of choice is the bacon cheeseburger. Like I said, sometimes I get a little bacon cheeseburger with a single patty… depends on my mood. But the double patty burger feels good in your hands. The beef is always cooked well, the cheese melted perfectly and the fries are always great. The only complaint I have is that when you unwrap your burger from the foil ball, it’s a little too greasy. This situation might make the bun a little soggy at times. Other than that, great burger. I enjoy piling on the toppings on the Five Guys meat treat(sounds so hot). I love that they have great crispy bacon. I also love throwing lettuce, tomato, jalapenos and onions. But the beauty of this place is that you make your own burger every time. It’s awesome. There’s even some A1 sauce on the menu if you feel so inclined. In my opinion, if the meat is properly seasoned and cooked, there’s no need for A1. These burgers definitely don’t need it. A note on the fries: you can grab a large, which is enough to feed 3 or 4 people. They also have a small and a tiny size. I found the tiny to be a great compliment to a nice 2-patty burger. The restaurant itself is always clean. The staff is always friendly. Just be warned, during lunch time there can be a ton of traffic flowing in and out of this place. It gets really loud and there are barely enough tables to accommodate groups. So, in closing, the Five Guys burger is not the best I’ve had. I’d put it in the top 10… maybe top 5. The taste just doesn’t compare to stand outs like Red Coat Tavern, Miller’s and Shamrock. But the burger is unique in its style, size and presentation. The other thing I love about Five Guys is that it’s right next door to a Menchies. I love to wash down a double burger with some froyo :) ~ pickle

this place is great. nothing fancy, just really good food. you order at the counter, they cook your food, they call your number. Easy. And their burgers are great! I like the fact that you can get green pepper slices on your burger(growing up my folks always put green peppers on burgers. I always thought it was weird) and if you don’t want lettuce they’re fine with that. Quick, easy and delicious. Eat and then you can get on with your life.

I work in Warren so five guys is a great place to come grab a bite to eat during lunch hour. They are always packed during the lunch rush and always manage to get you in and out really fast. Helpings of fries are always plentiful so always get the little fry instead of a regular or large. The coke machine can be finicky since it is one of those 30 million flavors in one machine, so if the person in front of you opts to get a cherry orange lime diet coke, press the water button and hold it for a few seconds to clear the lines. In the summer they have outdoor seating so that’s real nice when it is a nice day out. Parking is also a little packed during lunch, so you can park near Meijer to avoid the packed spots

The burgers are monstrous, and the fries so delicious. They give so many fries too! I could hurt myself there and almost did! TIP: Don’t do them for lunch… you could hurt yourself and not make it back to work. Unless its the weekend… THENGOFORIT!

I don’t know why. I don’t know why but every single time I eat at 5 Guys, I think to myself is this last meal material. I could have Tuna belly or Kobe or a million other things but I guess the fact that I’d bring this to an internal discussion must mean I really love this place. I’ve just not had bad food here, at any location, ever. I think I usually pay around $ 10.00 for loaded burger, too many fries, and a drink. I understand comparing a fast food chain to the almighty Red Coat or Nemo’s is a sin but this place leapfrogs over many burger places that charge a much higher fare and for me really isn’t that far off of these two places when you factor the cost. Maybe it’s the staff, the made to order burger with tons of fresh toppings, the fresh cut and often made fries, or the crazy drink machine with what seems like hundreds of options. After writing about this, I’m warming up the car to go and get one.

I like it when a place does few things well. My pet peeve with most restaurants today is that they try to be everything and fall short at being good at anything. Five Guys keeps it simple: burgers, dogs and fries. I felt the burger was a great value for $ 7 or so. The burger trend today is pushing them at around $ 10 at most places so to me this was a deal. I like the fact that the beef is always fresh and not frozen. I loaded mine up with the works because they don’t nickel-dime you on toppings. However, that was my mistake because it turned into a mess. Note to self, stick with my original burger philosophy of less is more. I really like the flavor and it was cooked just right. I would definitely eat another. The bummer of the visit was the fries. Yes, they have bags of potatoes stacked high and yes, they cut them fresh but where FG drops the ball is that they have no idea how to cook them. The fries were soggy, grease soaked and limp. Other people may like that but I’m not other people. I like a crisp french fry. Cook them, raise out of the oil and let them rest and return them to the oil for fresh-cut, crispy pom frites goodness. It’s not a secret and you can get the recipe from Emeril online for free. Visit was really 3.5 stars and I would return for the burger for sure but pass on just about everything else. For two dollars more and with bottomless steak fries done right every time, I’m more likely to go to Red Robin. ALLERGENNOTICE: Five Guys fry in peanut oil so people with peanut/tree nut sensitivities beware because you will leave with the peanut oil hanging in your clothes.

Classic Five Guys, so if you like the food you’ll like this restaurant. A notch above fastfood burgers, and worth the price.

Five guys is one of those treasures that a few people have been finding out about lately… and the reason why? Because its damn good. A greasy hamburger, smothered with all of your toppings that you could possibly imagine… Mushrooms, onions, ketchup, A1, jalapenos, etc… and they have 3 burger sizes… small. normal. or large. If you mow down a large burger. first off you were damn hungry, and apparently you didn’t order any fries. The fries there are delivered sacks of freshly sliced fries that are sea salted and friend to absolute perfection. However, if you feel that you’re hungry… trust me and get a small. If you want a medium or large. I hope you have the heart of an irishman because you’ll be eating so many potatoes that your new nicknmae will be spud.

This is where I can find one of my favorite burgers. Seriously…order a double bacon cheeseburger. THe last time I ate one, I had to shower and take a nap afterward. Just take my word for it.

Simple burgers & fries done right. Nothing says homemade natraul cut french fries like a barricade of fresh potatoes boxes stacked chest high & a dry erase board displaying where the potatoes were harvested from & their born on date. This is one of those places you just have to step up and order, and figure out the rest as you go. The cashiers here make it simple, one patty or two? Then you ramble of what all the things you want piled high on your burger. I decided to load my burger served on a fresh sesame seed bun with a slice of America’s favorite cheese, crisp bacon, sauteed jalapenos, mushrooms, grilled onions, lettuce & slice of tomato. The french fries were served in a paper grocery bag, gosh jam their huge. I couldn’t finish them, and I’m usually the person finishing off the left over fries. I’m not sure how peanuts fit into the equation but I asked for a bag to take some home, they told me make sure you fill it. I have to say, really nice staff and an above average burger to give you a break from the whopper or whatever Wendys calls theirs.

I really don’t see the hype. For a single person to try and get a burger for lunch you are over $ 8. And why do I need 2 lbs of fries and that’s a small. Can’t I just get a mini. Nothing better then getting a big bag of fries with the grease soaking though the bag. Don’t get me wrong, I like the business model, simple and fresh. I just think they could use some tweaking of the food items.

Glad to know there’s one opening in San Diego! When I came here, I had the option of going to Buffalo Wild Wings, 5 Guys Burgers & Fries, or BOTH! Not at all knowing the burger would be filling and that a small fry would actually come out to an extra large! The menu for condiments went on & on & to be honest, I would have added so many but I tried not to look like a «fatty» in front of my friend. The burger was bomb! I definitely think In N Out has some competition. I never knew about this place until I went to Michigan. Glad I know now!

Oh yes, I am a fan! The workers here were very friendly & patient with the kids I brought when they were deciding what to order since it was their first time. The place was very clean — and so were the bathrooms! The fact that the«little burger» is a normal size burger cracks me up — and the amount of fries we got in 1 large order was ridiculous, good ridiculous. Four of us ate them in the restaurant & brought a ton of fries with us to go for the car ride home. My nephew had the(double patty) bacon cheeseburger & said it was the best burger he has ever had. He also loved the fries & he doesn’t usually like them. All the kids said it was«so good» and I was glad I decided to take them there. I love me some Five Guys and wasn’t sure if they would be too excited since it seems like just a burger place. I was glad they liked it as much as I do! We all loved what we had, got very full & can’t wait to go back! Please Five Guys, build near me!!!

First was introduced to 5Guys in 2008, and could not wait for them to open in Michigan. The simplicity of having 4 menus items & doing them all very VERYWELL! is genius. 1] burgers, 2] hot dogs 3] grilled cheese 4] fries We went to the 12& Mound location at 6:20 Saturday and the place was hopping. Allen a very nice mature man took my order & stopped by my table twice to check on things. My Wife ordered a little burger with Mayo Relish Onions Lettuce Pickles Tomatoes Grilled Onions Grilled Mushrooms I ordered a double with everything * Mayo * Relish * Onions * Lettuce * Pickles * Tomatoes * Grilled Onions * Grilled Mushrooms * Ketchup * Mustard * Jalapeño Peppers * Green Peppers * A.1.® Steak Sauce * Bar-B-Q Sauce * Hot Sauce Allen asked twice, are you sure you want all that? I replied Yes as long as you still have napkins?! It was amazing! as were the fries! One nice touch was I noticed Allen emptying all 4 trash containers and instead of doing it in the dining room, he rolled each & every container to the backroom, so none of the guests would have to watch/endure that, as it can be pretty un-appetizing to witness

«In-N-Out has the best burger!!» «Fatburger has the best burger!!» «McDonalds has the best burger!!» «My mom has the best burger!!» umm… wrong! Five Guys! duhh. :p I just had the best burger of my life. It was very juicy and tasty. I could taste every part of the burger, not just the meat or the buns or the unchewable tomatoes. It’s the first time I ate a real burger. And the rest I’ve had. I don’t know what they were.

Meh. I think FGB&F was on par with what I expected from all the mixed reviews I’ve been reading. I was not«unimpressed,» per se, but I wasn’t wow’d either. Don’t believe the hype. The burger was tasty; flavorful and very juicy despite being cooked well-done. The toppings were of decent quality but not that plentiful. The bun was nice and held up to the two patties I ended up with. The regular burger comes with two patties, which is a lot, really. I couldn’t finish the whole thing, which is fine, I don’t need all the calories anyway(in fact, I still feel bad about myself having eaten that in the first place). But the burger was good. The fries were high quality, but I’m not a huge fan of «real» fries… I know, I know. I did find them to be tasty, but not well-salted. And really, once they’re out of the frier if they’re not salted right away then it’s too late. Also, I don’t need enough fries for three people so I threw away 2⁄3 of what I got since I was going to class afterward. The prices are a bit much… for myself I paid around $ 11 and change for a burger, fries and a drink. Why don’t they have any combos? Stupid. They’re purposely trying to fleece us because the ENTIREWORLD wants fries and a pop with their burger — they know what they’re doing. I also think it’s a little wasteful that they serve everything to go in a bag that highlights the greasiness of the fries. It’s a wasted bag for all those who eat in. Get some washable trays. Oh well. I really wasn’t disappointed, and I would go back if I was craving a greasy burger and some self-loathing; which happens.

They are very honestly described. Five Guys Burgers And Fries… and not much else. You will not find fish or chicken here. With all due respect, I dispute what Daniel says, the hamburgers are NOT $ 10! The most expensive burger on the menu is the bacon double cheeseburger, and as of 2÷10÷11 it is $ 5.89 In my opinion that is a large burger. Everything is made fresh to order, never frozen — in fact, they do not even have a freezer on the premises at all! Potatoes are stored in bags, in the open, and their french fries are sliced in the store that day. Hamburgers are hand formed from fresh, never frozen ground beef. Sorry Harley, McDonalds can’t say that. Quality you can taste. Having been there a number of times at closing time, it is surprising the depth of cleaning they do. Even at the end of the day when they are closing down and cleaning up, it is still cleaner than many places I’ve seen. Christopher — they have an excellent grilled cheese sandwich. Who goes there for that? More people than you might think.
