I’m a local student across the street from MCC, I occasionally walk to Front Page Deli in between classes to eat, rarely with friends. On every occasion I never receive their student discount or a discount on my next meal for being a student even though I’ve showed them my student ID every time I choose to dine. On one occasion all my friends dining received a student discount but myself even though I full knowingly showed them my ID card. Even the employee walked up to all my friends to hand them discounts except for me. But now the food, it’s okay. Most of the sandwiches are very small portion for the price and I can find the same meal such as the Reuben for example, and go to many other restaurants for half the price and and twice the amount of portions. The Reuben is what you’d expect one to taste like but there is no «wow this is a very good Reuben» it’s more like«it tastes like the same thing I had at some cheap coney island.» The fried chicken is grossly overpriced, very rubbery, greasy, and overall the two times I’ve ordered it the chicken just never seemed to taste right, as if someone cooked it too fast. This is definitely not a restaurant I will ever returned to, it’s overpriced, confusingly rude, and a very sub-par meal that I could just go next door to the convenience store to have.

First impressions are really important. Upon walking in the everybody was very nice. We placed our order to go & the people were very helpful with answering questions & helping with making selections. The food was prepared timely. We ordered the #1& #15, steak fries & corn beef egg rolls. All the food was really good. The sandwiches were a great size! I would eat here again.

Always been a fan and tonight is no different except Light thousand island means Light not Lite. Good sandwich, always reminds me of Lou’s Deli in it’s heyday(not now or last 25 yrs).

I am seriously so bummed about this place as I was really hoping to find a place around my area of work with good salads/sandwiches. Today(2nd time here), I placed an order to go for my co-workers and I. I ordered the #10 turkey pastrami junior sized. My one co-worker ordered the #10 pastrami regular sized and my other co-worker ordered the #1 front page special. Our order was a little complicated as my one co-worker wanted to sub swiss for cheddar and my other co-worker wanted lettuce and tomato on the side so his bread wasn’t soggy. They did do a great job getting everything correct and the order was ready for pick up in less than 20 minutes, which was really good service and the only plus in this whole review. As for the food, it was horrible. It was $ 32 down the drain. All our sandwiches were cold. Both of the turkey pastrami sandwiches were SUPERSUPERDRY, the bread was soggy, that when I picked the sandwich up, the bread fell apart and it basically ruined the rest of my experience. I ended up throwing mine away as it was that horrible. It didn’t taste good at all! The front page special was horrible as well, and both of my co-workers decided they will never be back there again. Moving onto My first experience there… We liked the idea of being able to have delivery as it was very convenient, 4 of my co-workers and I ordered food and paid for expected delivery. We get 30 minute lunch breaks at work and when we ordered at 11:15am for a 12:30−1pm lunch, we told them to bring it between 12 – 12:30, which you think would of given them plenty of time. well they came at 1:10(when our lunch was long over) and apologized that they were busy and understaffed. If they could of told that to us on the phone, someone would have gladly picked it up, but instead we wasted our lunch break, not eating the food we paid for. I will most likely never be back.

I am going to keep this plain and simple I had the number 15 pastrami and corned beef and it was just a sandwich as if you made a sandwich from deli meat from the market not much meat I would hate to see the junior sandwich cannot compare to the other delis that have been around for awhile even on their bad day better luck next time I can see this one closing in about a year

Price was on the high side, but the sandwich and fries were delicious. I can see this being a popular [large] hole-in-the-wall for Macomb College students. I got the corned beef and used Unilocal’s coupon for a free side of fries. Everything was piping hot and fresh, and I’d totally order than sandwich again. But without the coupon, my order would have been $ 14, which is too much to me to make this a place I’d come back to a lot for a lunch stop.

Oddly enough(for me), my favorite part of the meal was the steak fries. They were nicely seasoned and just the perfect level of freshness and crispness to them. Part of the reason we made this choice was for soup. We had sat out in the cold and wind watching a soccer match and wanted something hot. Well, the soup was burn your tongue hot — mission accomplished. I got the Detroiter(¼ lb. size). While it was good, the ¼ lb. chicken breast got kind of lost in the bun(soft onion roll). Looking at the size of other sandwiches, I felt a little gypped. The wifey special ordered, and they got it wrong. No worries, it was quickly replaced. Service was very friendly. That alone would be reason to go back.

A little pricey at first looking at their menu, but it is so worth it. They are quick and great. The portions are huge and you wouldn’t expect anything like this and would probably miss it if you didn’t know it was there.

Happened to be in the area, craving a late lunch, and Front Page did the job. To paraphrase one of my favorite movies, the original«Little Shop of Horrors,» «Lots food, cheap.» The value was made even better by the free fries I received with my Unilocal check-in. Ashamed of myself that it has taken me this long to write my review. Not in this neighborhood often, but would definitely come back if was passing by.

I work right across the street from here and I finally grabbed a sandwich one day for lunch. I like that sandwiches come in two sizes because the large looks gigantic! Very generous portion of meat and my ruben came with a free bag of chips. I actually picked some of the meat off because I felt there was just a ton of meat, but if you are a meat lover than this is your place. The variety is large so chances are good you will find something you’ll like.

Next time you’re in the mood for a sandwich, skip the obvious corporate choice and find a Front Page Deli. They are located all over Metro Detroit and are delicious, fresh and affordable. There is nothing on the menu over $ 8.99(minus the Big Business that carries 1 lb. of meat), but everything looks and tastes like it is more expensive. You can get a sandwich loaded with the freshest of ingredients in regular($ 8.99) or junior($ 6.99) size and served with a pickle and homemade kettle chips. The menu also houses a variety of homemade soups, salads and sides. They also have hot dogs, burgers, dinners and desserts. The«wanted ad» pick two is a great option as well, giving you a chance to try a half sandwich, side salad or soup. The deli has a comfortable and friendly feel. It has been open for about four months and also delivers. The food is delicious, everything is reasonably priced and the staff is inviting, giving you every reason to stop on in next time a sandwich craving hits you.

This was our first visit. Restaurant was dirty. Our order was incorrect and some items we ordered were not given to us. The hot dogs were cold. The brightest part of the visit was the Reuben… and that was just average. Will not go back… which is a shame. I just really wanted a place close to home where I could get a good Reuben when I had a hankering.

In Warren with a hankering for a great sandwich — trusty Unilocal app to the rescue! It directed me to Front Page, an unassuming deli in a tiny strip just across the street from Macomb Community College. I would have passed by it without noticing, had I not been looking for it. But I’m certainly glad I stopped in because boy did it hit the SPOT! I got the«Business» which was turkey pastrami(so good… and you don’t always find that on a sandwich menu) — on the owner(or maybe manager?) Brian’s advice I got my bread toasted, which costs a buck extra because they toast it with garlic butter. That put it at about $ 10 for the sandwich, once tax was added on… but it was worth it! This was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time! The huge pile of juicy turkey pastrami, combined with the crunch of the buttery toasted bread, made each bite absolutely delicious. I finished half before I was stuffed, and took the remaining half home in a box. Front page has a Unilocal check-in offer of a free order of fries, which I got as well. BIG order of thick cut steak fries. They were ok, nothing special from regular steak fries, and I prefer my fries on the thin side anyway. But that sandwich. Oh man, that sandwich. My friend got a grilled chicken sandwich, I forget what it was called, but it was just as stuffed and juicy looking as mine, and he also raved about how tasty it was. If I go back here, I’ll be torn between wanting the Business again and wanting to try one of their other offerings! The only downfall is that this it’s not very«warm» in here… not in the sense of temperature, but the atmosphere doesn’t really invite you to sit down and stay a while. There is no large menu up on the wall for display, nor menus at the tables — so you have to wait until you are right up at the counter to look at the menu laying on it — not conducive to if there is a line waiting, or if you just want to take your time perusing the options. The whole place looks like it could stand a good deep cleaning, as well. But above and beyond all that… the sandwiches here are the BOMB. It makes me wish I lived over that way so I could enjoy it more often. Although looking forward, I might be more inclined to get mine to go.

On a whim, my friend sent me a text message to meet her for lunch here at Front Page Deli. Living close to Macomb Community College, I have seen this place several times and welcomed the opportunity to try out new restaurants in the area. The place is located at the end of a small strip mall and have the cozy feel to it. It didn’t escape me that the newspaper wallpaper theme is an attempt to tie in the décor to the name of the place — FRONTPAGE Deli. I thought that was a clever touch. We were entertained by Brian who we later found out was the manager(owner?) of the place. He was very pleasant. I asked what he would recommend from the menu and when he learned it was our first time at his restaurant, was patient enough to articulate what sets his sandwiches apart from other area restaurants. I told him I’m not really a «beef» eater so he recommended #9(see picture). He mentioned the chicken is in fact char grilled and so was the buttered bread used for the sandwich. I ordered it sans the cheese and claimed my Unilocal! check in special of fries. We didn’t wait long for our orders to arrive at our table and I was thankful that I only ordered the«jr.» version of my sandwich since it IS packed with meat. The sandwich itself was delicious with meat juices literally flowing out of the bun and into the container it came in. I think an addition of bacon would have it taste a lot better but I did have bacon for breakfast before I got there so I didn’t add it. The fries though, could’ve used some salt of spices added to it because it was bland. Thank goodness for the mayonnaise I ordered with mine. :) Overall, the experience was good and the sandwich was one of the better ones I’ve had in a long time albeit a little expensive.($ 10.06 for the sandwich alone as the fries were free and the I had a glass of water). I told Brian that, depending on the taste of the sandwich, I may or may be back. I think I will and maybe next time, I’ll try the turkey sandwich my friend ordered since she was still raving about it a couple of hours later after she finished the half she took home.(Yes, that sandwich was THAT big. lol)

Simple and sweet. It’s an awesome little sandwich shop. The price is a little high for a sandwich, but they’re gourmet and servings are huge, so it definitely makes up for that. I’d recommend this place.

Loved this place! Stopped here for lunch while in town for the weekend. The staff was very friendly, the service was quick and the food was great. If I’m ever in town again I will definitely come back. I wish there was a place like this back home!

My family really enjoyed our lunch here. The workers were very nice. We had the corned beef, Chicago style hot dog, and two plain hot dogs. The dogs were grilled and were very large. The corned beef tasted great. The variety of condiments they offer on the table is a nice touch. We were at an event at the college and instead of going to the crowded cafeteria, we drove right across the street for superior food. We were glad we did!
