Happy’s Pizza almost killed me. I ordered a corn beef sandwich and got food poisoning so bad I was nearly hospitalized. 2 solid days of being as sick as I’ve ever been. Probably my fault for not sticking with pizza. You’ve been warned.

It was one of those nights when you’re just not sure what you want to eat or where you want to go, if you want to GO. And since I didn’t feel like cooking, the hubby and I had seen this commercial and being new to the area, we said, «Let’s give it a try!» So we placed an online order for a 3 meat dinner combination to split with an extra order of Cajun fries. We ordered rib tips(superb), 5 butterfly shrimp(pretty good), and 5 whole wings(yummy). It also came with bread and coleslaw. It was a great deal of food for two people to split. We actually had leftovers. It took about an hour for delivery which was disappointing because it was just two miles away, but convenient, nonetheless, because we could stay home. It just made us more eager to eat. Good food for a night in.

Though I am NOT a burger and pizza kind of guy(yes, REALLY! :)) when I DO have pizza, I tend to go to either Costco’s Food Court or one of the frozen ones that I really like but to break the monotony of same old, same old pizza, we go to Happy’s. I really don’t know how much more review I can put on a pizzaria especially since I only order take out. Their pizza is quite comparable to Pizza Hut for a lot less green. In my experience though — and this is probably the downside for me – Happy’s pizza is just as, if not more greasy. I know it’s pizza BUT I also know they are supposed to be BAKED. So the conundrum has always been, why have grease if it goes in the oven? I really don’t know the answer since I haven’t really tried cooking pizza for myself. I’ll let you know if and when that happens.
