Very dissatisfied with Kmart right now. Well most of the time over the last few years. I put a lay a way in on black Friday with a Christmas tree, lights and some boots. I thought wow this is awesome that I can lay a way a tree and have one to put up next year. I go to pick it up today Jan. 21st and was told they cancelled the lay a way awhile ago because Christmas stuff has to be out by Dec. 7th. I told the lady if I knew that I would have either not put it in or got it out by then. I should have been informed when I put the lay a way in. I should have received a call an email or something when they decided to cancel it. My contract said end date 1÷21÷16! So what they did was let me continue to make payments for a lay a way that didn’t exist. She gave me my money back and a ten dollar gift card so she tried to make it right. My thing is this… maybe Kmart wouldn’t be so broke and closing stores if they didn’t do this kind of crap. The ONLY reason I even shop at Kmart is for lay a way and now I can even count on that.

I put toys in the layaway for Christmas. I paid on the toys when i came to pick them up my stuff was missing. But you wanted your payment on time. So beware of this place. Disorganized Store. They are Terrible no wonder they are losing out to Walmart. Manager not helpful at all.

Our«normal» K-Mart is the store located on 12 and John R. This one is and has been closer to my home but we stopped going there years ago. For years it was a Big K and then a Sears Essentials but they were both poorly run and always filthy dirty. Stopped in today now that it is back to a «regular» K-Mart. I must admit it is a lot cleaner, brighter and better staffed than the 12/John R store. Aisles were organized well and I had no trouble finding some good deals as well as a the essentials I needed for Memorial Day. I’m still not a huge fan of the K-Mart stores over all but I will continue to come back to this one if I ever had the need. Bye bye«other» K-Mart…this one has you beat, hands down.

I never have shopped inside this store but my last 2 shop online and pick up in store were horrible. The first time I figured maybe it was a new system and let it go. Today was much worse and I will never go in there again. I ordered online and a few days later got a email saying it was ready. The next day I went up there and waited for 30 minutes as they looked for my item(a suitcase). I was asked several times things like«you sure it was this store?» and«are you sure you got a email?» Umm. Yes I can read. My hubby was getting mad and went on the floor to look for it since the 3 employees couldn’t find it after ½ an hour. He found 2 of them sitting on the shelf and was on his way back to me when a employee(the manager I think) saw him and confirmed it was the item and that«some times they don’t read the tags and put the items just back on the shelf». Never got a sorry or any kind of apology form anyone. We walked out 15 minutes later because no one could figure out how to give us a receipt since they couldn’t find the proper paperwork. We just said it was fine since we just wanted to leave. So if you like doing someone elses job and like wasting a lot of time for something that should take 5 minutes shop here.

No help at all. I brought a bike here back in like April of 2012 and i had to get it down from the shelf myself. Good thing I did not break my neck.
