This is a good place for tasty, cheap food. Lunch Buffet runs about $ 6; Dinner Buffet runs about $ 11, and the«Thai» named foods had a good amount of spice. The sushi is hit-or-miss, I’m not a fan of their fried products in sushi. There’s a lot of different choices(many fried), and if you’re lucky enough to go on a weekend try the Walnut Shrimp, it’s the best thing they make! The variety changes every day, so there’s always something new to try! Cons: when it’s busy you may need to flag down your waitress to get a drink refill, and the desserts are flavourless and bland(they do have ice cream, so that’s the only saving grace dessert-wise). My husband and I have gone 3x so far and left extremely full and happy.

Mandarin Buffet & Sushi offers a $ 12 all-you-can-eat sushi buffet that will leave both your stomach and wallet full and satisfied. While it’s not the most spectacular buffet, it does the job well. In regards to the sushi buffet, it has all the staples and a few extra frills. They have many salmon and tuna roll variations as well as California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, rainbow rolls, and some salmon and white salmon nigiri. I was hoping they would have some tempura rolls but they didn’t. Not a big deal, didn’t ruin my night in the least. Other seafood: raw oyster, crab cake, steamed crabs, mussels, various shrimp dishes. The freshness was mediocre but again, I wasn’t looking for anything high-class and it’s not like the buffet advertises itself as a fine dining establishment. What I really liked were the four different soups they had! The egg drop soup was really delicious– especially after throwing in a handful of crunchy wontons. The desserts weren’t that interesting. IF you’re looking for something sweet after the buffet, make sure you check out Carousel ice cream that’s located nearby!

Not too good. This is a rather small Chinese buffet. The quantity isn’t the problem to me but quality is missing. The«sushi» should be removed from the restaurant name as their sushi offerings are very limited and just over loaded with rice. The food did seem to have less msg than most restaurants and that’s about the only good thing. Service was unfriendly and curt. E.g. When I asked for a ginger ale all I got was a «we don’t have it»

It is what it is. Don’t try to turn a pan-Asian buffet into any more than that — cheap food and lots of it. As others have mentioned, timing is key to any restaurant, but especially a buffet(and a sub $ 10 weekday one at that). Service is pretty much on par with every Asian buffet that I have been to — everything from nice and pleasant to frowny and annoyed. As it turns out you don’t really need more than drink refills at a buffet and I don’t need a smile with that. Sushi is pretty good, but the rice can be a little dry sometimes. Soups can thicken up after a day in the steam tables, so I thin it down with wonton soup. Hot foods are varied and generally tasty and replenished often during peak times. This is a great deal for an Asian buffet for a weekday lunch if you’re in the area.

With this restaurant, everything comes down to timing. When you go during a rush, yes, you’ll have to be more patient waiting for food, and yes, it will be a bit noisier, but the food will be hot and fresh. If you go between the rushes, food might be cold or overcooked from sitting on the hot bar too long. It’s not the biggest buffet, but they have a decent selection. Also, I can’t pass up an all you can eat lunch for roughly $ 11. Usually, you have to ask for a drink refill, don’t expect it — service isn’t fantastic. At dinner, the price is a bit higher and they specifically serve seafood — I actually prefer the lunch menu. Restaurant is always clean and the atmosphere is relaxing.

I don’t know if we hit it at the wrong time of day but everything seemed cold and dry. They had a great selection but it seemed to have been out since lunch. I love oysters and they had them raw on the half shell but I had no idea how long they had been out and didn’t dare try them.

I have been to Mandarin many, many times since they’ve opened. Last night was, by far, the worse. The food looked great but most of it tasted off — even things I’ve eaten many times before. I didn’t even bother getting a second plate. Before I left, I was bloating badly and just after we left, so was my husband. This was my last visit since a previously good restaurant has headed downhill.

This place is really expensive and only has ok food, but I go here a lot. Literally the only reason I go here is because I LOVE their honey chicken, and can’t find any other Chinese restaurant that serves it. It’s frustrating because a lot of their food tastes old and isn’t really fresh, but I love their honey chicken too much to give it up.

Sushi, Chinese buffet. Yummy but obviously not the highest quality you’ll get, but affordable, plentiful and tasty enough to go back for seconds. Service is friendly, the buffet was never full of empty stations, which is annoying. If you’re in the area, starving and want pretty good chinese, you won’t be upset.

I’m sure some of you will say, what, 5 stars for a buffet, but honestly — come on! $ 11 for dinner all you can eat? Done! They have lots of different options — sushi in the back and not the stingy sushi you normally see on buffets. Soup and dumplings in the front, fruit and other things in the middle, 2 whole rows of different versions of asian dishes on the left and right. There is definitely something for everyone! As some one else mentioned — Garlic and Shrimp dish — amazing! Almost like butter chicken, delish! And the lo mein bucket was almost always emptied as soon as it was filled! The staff returned to check on us and re-fill our water. To me, this is a great option for the area!

Im not sure how this place has more than 2 stars. the presentation is nice and pretty but the food isnt. They dont have a huge selection and on top of that the food is not even that good. The fruit all looked old and like it had either been sitting for a while or maybe bought off the rack of the fruit that was about to expire. The lobster was also really soggy and brown. I was hoping it would taste as good as it looked but it just didnt.

If you listen to some of the excellent reviews on Unilocal your going to feel duped… STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE! This place is terrible in multiple ways. This was our first visit even though it’s been open for sometime. Were the type of family who doesn’t eat out much but when we do we like our service to be good along with our food. This place has neither! The waitress seated us at a table that they had just wiped down and it was soaked, the seats, the table… now this may seem minor which honestly it is to me too but when your nice pants get soaked it’s annoying. Our server had a scowl on her face she never smiled, greated us, instructed us on what to do, mind you it was our first time in this restaurant and we weren’t sure if they bring you plates or the plates were at the bar. This service was consistent she never took our plates or came to our table again after initially getting us drinks. She walked around the restaurant like she was miserable. The food was terrible, I have read other reviews on here that the food is cold, YES all of it was cold! It was disgusting! The sushi rice was under cooked which made it taste awful! The desserts even worse. All the supposed hot food items… cold! My favorite soup hot n sour was terrible. We left hungry at a buffet because we could only stomach little bits off our plates! We paid the tab and just walked out! Wasted $ 40 dollars… don’t make the same mistake. I’ll be trying Faang in Warrenton it was rated top 10 and I will never go to this restaurant again!

One of the best Chinese buffets in the area. I drive 40 minutes just to go here. I’m not a sushi fan so I can’t really comment on that aspect, but it looks beautiful and fresh. The Garlic Chicken & Shrimp is a dish that seems to be unique to this place that I just love. The restaurant is very clean and has a good modern feel to it. The only fault that I see is that the service is cold and distant. I don’t think they are intentionally rude, its just a cultural gap that they may need to work a bit more on bridging to their american clientele. Writing this review made me hungry — I think i’ll go there for dinner tonight!

I’ve tried this place on three different occasions over a year or so. I WANT to like it but each time has been pretty awful. The first time was late lunch so I thought it was the timing but each time has been the same. The food is very mediocre and often cold and/or old. The staff is fairly rude or pretty much ignored you. I came mostly for the sushi which was not replenished very quickly and each time I had to ask if there’d be more sushi any time soon as it was pretty much out. Needless to say I will NOT and giving them another shot. :(

I went today with my two kids, 5&12. Happy with the quality of the food and choices. My son and daughter were able to get what they wanted and even finish with a bowl of ice cream. It was 2PM and the kitchen kept bringing out more to the buffet. I had some sushi, also very good. I feel that we all got our money’s worth. I plan to try their takeout in the future.

OH yeah, Warrenton… you got it good to have a Chinese restaurant of this caliber. Working in the Warrenton office once again. Some of my colleagues recommend this place for lunch. Big WOW, asian style. What a great all you can eat buffett, $ 11 bucks including beverage. Hey, try the sweet tea. They have excellent fried rice. Everything I tried was great. The pork, the beef and especially the shrimp. Usually the sping rolls at places like this are dry and tasteless. No so here, very tasty and fresh. Where else can you find a buffet that will allow take out? Very nice and clean drining room. The service was only lacking a little… had to run down the waitress to get a refill on the T.
