Heaven forbid the estimator gets sick because you will never get your estimate. Came three weeks ago and I changed my schedule to be there. Was promised a quote in 2 days. Never came. Called and they said he was sick. Called few days later and he was still sick. I hope they have enough business to ignore customers who are ready to do work. Oh well

While I love my husband to death, there are certain things that he just can’t do around the house, and that’s when I need to look for outside help.
We had a few minute holes in our outside foundation that were allowing unwanted vermin into our crawl space. We had called an exterminator who identified the problem but couldn’t fix it since it wasn’t in their area of expertise.
Upon calling Handy Andy, Jim Moore came out, inspected the area, and figured out, at a high level, how to fix the problem. Jim was very up front with us and told us the difficulty in fixing the holes as well as describing the process that was going to be used to fix the foundation.
Jim arrived promptly on the designated day, covered my wood floors and basement stairs with drop clothes. Jim removed all of the tainted insulation, sprayed all of the impacted areas, closed up all of the holes, replaced the insulation, and the styrofoam that had been destroyed by the vermin. Jim went outside and completed blocking up the holes around the electrical and sump pump areas. Jim also told me about changing out the remaining insulation in the basement that was no longer up to code.
Jim is a true craftsman — he knows his trade, and understands the importance of keeping the homeowner informed about the issues identified as he worked through the process of fixing the foundation. I’m all about communication and Jim exceeded my expectations.
I am happy to say that my crawl space is now vermin free! And, as an added benefit, the bay window in my kitchen is much warmer due to Jim’s stuffing the basement ceiling with additional insulation.
I have since identified other projects that need to be done in our home. Handy Andy in Warrenville will be invited back to my home to work on these projects!
