I never learn. I really must not judge a diner from its outside appearance SMH. Driving by it several times, along Warwick Av, I never gave it more than five seconds of consideration. I thought it was small and probably outdated in menu, taste and interior. My experience going for a late breakfast here on a Sunday proved me a bit incorrect. The place has its own parking around the back. Convenient. Inside, if you can get past the wood-paneled walls that seem a bit off on a theme I have yet to identify, then you should be fine. Ordered Chourice Hash on egg whites with raisin toast. Companion ordered Eggs Benedict over chourice hash on English Muffin. We also had a pancake on the side. The breakfast did not disappoint. No flowery words here but good enough not to say«meh». Serving was just right. Coffee was really weak, though. Please make the coffee slightly stronger. Way less water in proportion to the coffee grind, maybe? Decaf should also not mean diluted. On customer service: On my second visit, there were posters reminding diners to order their Rice Pie ahead of time, for Easter. Never heard of a Rice pie before. Server was a bit unfriendly but nicer to regulars. When asked the question: «what is a rice pie»? Gave me the look of utter disbelief. Like I was hiding under a rock all this time. Well, sue me. I am a Catholic but never had it before. That’s why I ask now. Note to owner and servers: Please, be nice to all customers. Especially new faces who may become part of the loyal customers brigade. Overall, this spot is a safe bet and a neighborhood staple.

Not that great. My friend ordered the fish and it tasted like it had dish soap in it! When she complained the waitress and the cook said«no way»! Yes way! Never went back and they charged us for it and did not offer a substitute or refund. Yuk!

I can’t even tell you how the food was… Ordered 2 sandwiches in an empty restaurant waited 30 minutes for them. Once my food was put in front of me I questioned if it was ham or the actual turkey I ordered. It was brown. I tasted it it was ham the cook actually argued with us & then said you don’t have to eat it. Wtf?!? We walked out at that point

First time here. Came on Wednesday morning. Wasn’t busy. Very friendly waitress! I had the Irish Omelet(corned beef hash). Came with toast and home fries. Wife had 2 over medium eggs(cooked perfectly she said), home fries and a grilled English muffin. Food was HOT and tasted great. Coffee was always full. Will definitely be back. Our waitress mentioned $ 6.99 fish and chips on Friday so we’ll give that a shot at some point. Glad we came!

Don’t let the outside fool you, this place has a friendly waitstaff, good atmosphere, no waiting, and of course great food. I can only speak for the breakfast. Open till 2 pm and 8 pm on Friday. Looking forward to coming back and trying lunch and dinner. Great hidden gem.

I found this place after not wanting to wait at T’s or Cozy Grill and I’m so glad I did! My girlfriend and I come here at least once a month, sometimes twice. The food is fantastic, the service is great, and they never let me run out of coffee. I like to pair up one of their eggs Benedict with some Portuguese French toast and I’m fu for the rest of the day!

I can’t speak about the price. My Mom paid. I can’t speak about the coffee, I didn’t try it. The food. I Loved it! This is a greasy spoon, bigger inside than I thought it’d be, but no frills(nothing pretty about it really). BUT! Great service and great food. First time customer and I’ll be back again soon!

Good breakfast place… go there… I wish they served booze… Portuguese vinho(Vin) verde would be good… try the cacoila… flavored ala Portuguese franci style….

It’s nothing special, or fancy, and they don’t have a line out the door… Wait… They don’t have a line out the door!!! After driving to T’s, then Cozy Grill and leaving both because we were too impatient to wait we crashed at Paula’s. No line, no waiting. Pure heaven. The staff is real and I love it. It’s just a dated looking place, but the food comes out quick and it is always good. Plenty of tables in this place. Good for big groups.

I really liked Paula’s. The restaurant has lots of space and a huge menu that is hanging from the wall. They have all the traditional breakfast items and daily specials. They also have some Portuguese breakfast items which is a good option. I had the oatmeal with fresh fruit and brown sugar. The oatmeal was delicious, creamy and very filling. My husband had an omelet with Portuguese style shredded meat. He loved it. My daughter love her Mickey Mouse pancake. She said it was soft and fluffy. I will definitely return to Paula’s the next time I’m in Warwick. I highly recommend Paula’s for a great breakfast.

Paula’s place is an awesome and inexpensive family breakfast place. The hash is generic but some of their other choices and specials can be quite nice try the chocolate chip and banana pancakes they are amazing

Great Price, great service. Plenty of parking and no wait. The place is a little tough to find but look for the sign and take the side street to park in the back.

Food was cheap but mediocre at best, you get what you pay for. Many thing on the menu were«out» or discontinued and the service, if that’s what you want to call it was bad, really bad. She was only friendly to what I assumed to be «regulars» our waitress never cracked a smile. Like I said you get what you pay for.

Cute family biz serving up portuguese and italian food. Owners still work the counter as do their kids so its personal and attentive. Good in a neighborhood where its hard to find portuguese food.

My new breakfast joint! My former breakfast joint, The Cozy-right across the street, is always too crowded. I hate dealing w/crowds on a Sat./Sun. late morning, when all you want is relaxation. The price is definitely right, I paid around 4.50 for 2 eggs, toast, homefries, and bacon. I believe they use margarine on the toast, but I’m sure they’d sub. butter if you asked. Super service, spacious, albeit a little dated looking inside. Comfortable booths. A greasy spoon with a ladle of charm.
