«chicken and vegetable tikka masala» lunch special was progresso minestrone soup with some chickpeas thrown in and pita on the side. coffee was bland, but drinkable. Friendly people, relaxing atmosphere, but I’d stick with cupcakes if I came here again.

We love the Sugar Shack Café and go there almost every weekend for breakfast. The owners are friendly and warm, Azziza and Scott. It’s like going to «Cheer’s; everyone knows your name. We enjoyed the Bombay Breakfast Taco this morning and loved it. Very tasty and full of flavor. Try The Sugar Shack Café. You will like it. The food is always fresh and consistently good. Take you time and relax.

The Sugar Shack Café is located on a quiet alley in town next to the river. The owners are very friendly and nice. During the farmer’s market on Sunday the place gets busy and service lags, but other times it’s fine. I am gluten sensitive and I enjoy the delicate crêpe-style, gluten free pancakes as well as the cupcakes(which are better than regular cupcakes you can get in the bakeries in town). The cupcakes are smallish, but what they lack in size the make up in moist deliciousness. The omelets are great, especially the Italian one with the sun dried tomatoes and the pesto. The cappuccinos and lattes are gorgeous, served in big mugs. If you are looking for diner-sized portions this is not the place for you. Check the hours as they tend to fluctuate seasonally.

Waited an hour for food and when it finally got to us, portions were small and food was okay. My wife ordered a panini and it was some sort of open faced flat bread sandwich with no taste. Would recommend against this place. They served 7 people while we waited for food. How do they make any money? Try one of the many other places in the area

Horrible. Overpriced, meager servings of slop that take 20 minutes to prepare in an empty store. I wish we could have gone back in time and eaten ANYWHERE else.

OMG. Unlike other dry, dense, g-free cupcakes, these were light and fluffy like when your mom used to make cupcakes from the boxed yellow cake mix(or you wish she had, anyways). And no bean taste, though I have no idea what their base flours are. Heaven.

Eating out is a challenge for my daughter who has celiac disease &must follow a strict gluten free menu. According to her, the Sugar Shack has the most amazing GF pancakes. I appreciate the many GF offerings and hope that all Warwick restaurants soon follow suit.

It’s no longer the Carriage Path Café but it has the same cozy feel. I’ve been to the Sugar Shack a few times now with friends and it has not disappointed. It’s not really a «sugar» shack. They serve breakfast and lunch. I had the Tomboy(turkey, bacon, honey mustard) and the Pork and MIndy(ham and brie cheese) sandwichs and both were very tasty. I like that they give you a side salad/macaroni salad or mac n cheese with your sandwich. The food is very fresh and though I didn’t try their baked goods the other ladies loved their cookies. They will even cater to your dietary needs, celiac, etc. If your looking for a place to catch up with some friends, enjoy good food and not get rushed out I would highly recommend the Sugar Shack!

The Carriage Path Café has been open for over three years and this is my first time in the place. It’s tucked away behind the Warwick Inkwell. It’s a cute little place where you can get tea, coffee, breakfast and sandwiches while you make puzzles for the restaurant to display. It’s a good place to visit if you want to sit and relax. Don’t go here if you are in a rush. My mom and I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty packed. It took us about 45 minutes to get our food and eat. Speaking of the food… it’s pretty good. We shared the ABC sandwich and the New Yorker sandwich. The only recommendation I have is to leave out the honey mustard sauce on the ABC sandwich. Also, this place deliver for FREE to anyone in Warwick. Not to many places around here that does that!
