Very cozy atmosphere. Great service. Chris was very friendly to talk with. Filet was delicious! Highly recommend for a date night out… and they give you all the fixins for making your own smores on their 2 firepits! You gotta check this place out. Well worth the drive!

I am not sure what happened to this restaurant but it has been on a steady downslide. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years since its on of the first places he took me to. so it’s hard to come to reality that this place sucks now. The service was such a joke, we thought we were on a prank show. They first forgot the soup. which is whatever. Then we waited a very long time for our food to arrive. They also added a new flavor to their burgers.mold. How did not one person notice that there was a green, fuzzy patch the size of a quarter on the very top of the bun?! We brought it to our servers attention and she got so frazzled that she then spilled 2 glasses of water all over us. She kept trying to get us to try different items on the menu, but we were just very turned off. I can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like. No manager ever came by to check on us. he was probably embarrassed since he was the one who brought the burger out. All in all, if you like moldy burgers, then this is the place!

After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before water was brought to our table. The entire night was that way with slow service. The lemonade was not sweet enough and the drinks weren’t made well. However, the ribs were very good. We also enjoyed the make-it-yourself smores on our way out. We will be back and will hope for a different waitress.

What an awesome place. There Ribeyes are the best around! And believe me I’ve tried them everywhere! I just love there Cedar Plank Salamon. and their Blue point oysters are to die for, ice cold just the way I like them! The atmosphere is certainly pleasant, and the girls just have great personalities! They also almost always have something fun going on there! Put this place in your top 5 places to eat, and they will become #1 in one visit!

Terrible place to go when it’s even somewhat busy. I know it’s a restaurant and you don’t know when people are leaving, but after trying this place a few times ANDMAKINGRESERVATIONS every time, we waited about 45 minutes the first time, 50 the second, and about 40 the third time. I don’t get how you have people make reservations and don’t close down a table 15 minutes or so before the party arrives. Horrible scheduling.

First time here and probably my last. I purchased the ultimate bloody mary and my review is only off that. I don’t know how the rest of the food is but if its anything like the food on the drink then not very good. The bloody mary was a meal in itself. It came with 1 domestic beer, 2 sliders, 2 bacon strips, 2 ribs, 2 shrimps, chicken leg, and summer sausage & cheese. This LOOKED awesome and the bloody tasted fine. This is why they got 1 star instead to 0. Now for the bad part. Nothing tasted fresh. The shrimp smelled very fishy like it’s been sitting out. The slider burgers were dry as hockey pucks. The chicken was a little dry as well. The ribs were ok. Because they get a lot of request for the bloody marys, I think they make these items in advance and have them sitting out. Everything was cold. What made this a very bad experience was what I saw the bartender doing before she proceeded to pick up all my food garnishments with her BARE hands and put them on a skewer. She was handling money which is usually very dirty. She wiped off sweat from her forehead because she was running around the bar. They were very busy. She never attempted to wash her hands only wipe them on her sweater. This pretty much gross me out. Guess she doesn’t know anything about Sanitation and food safety. If you’re going to touch my food wear some gloves or at least wash your hands. I grudgingly tried the food/drink. I hope this isn’t how the cooks and chefs of the establishment look upon food safety. I’ve been in the food service business and this is unacceptable.

Tonight was out first time here, we drove from 30 minutes away. We bought a coupon from 2 months ago and have been itching to use it. We went on a Thursday night at 5:30pm. I have to say that the building, inside and out is amazing. When we walked in it took a minute to be seated in a booth because there was no host to greet us. After we were seated we noticed the place was empty except the overly loud group of people at the bar. The bartender was fully engulfed the conversation which leads me to believe they are regulars. We started off asking for a cup of each of the Soups of the Day shown on the menu — Loaded Potato and Split Pea… the waitress told us that they don’t offer Split Pea but they also had tomato cabbage which is not listed on the menu. We ended up only getting just the Loaded Potato which turned out to be fairly good. It included(possibly) homemade potato chips on top. A+ for the soup. We ordered a Stella and a Shock Top beer to drink. The Stella came in the normal Stella glass but the Shock Top was given in a bottle. I had to request a glass from the waitress. She ended up forgetting about the glass and I had to ask twice. We also asked to try the cornbread appetizer that was listed on the menu to go with our soups, but we were told they don’t offer that anymore. The waitress told us that the menus are old and are currently being reprinted. I was close to just asking what was available on the menu instead of wasting my time and asking for stuff not offered. We ended up having the stuffed mushroom appetizer for $ 8. We received 4 small mushrooms topped with cheese. These were served on a small dish on top of a rather large dish that the waitress warned the small dish was extremely hot. The presentation didn’t make sense. The mushrooms turned out to be luke warm. $ 2 a mushroom seemed to me a bit overpriced for nothing special. C– for the mushrooms. We also received a complimentary loaf of pre sliced bread that was very good. It arrived warmed with a small cup of butter. The butter seemed to be straight from the freezer and was hard resulting in it being difficult to spread. A+ on the bread. C– on the butter. For the main course we had a black and blue cheeseburger and a Reuben sandwich. The burger was requested to be done medium but arrived well done — zero pink in the middle. The Reuben we received seemed to be «light» on the meat portion to put it nicely. The French fries were soggy, undercooked and inedible. Same with the onion rings — soggy, undercooked and inedible. F– on the entrees. Since we needed to spend $ 50 to use the $ 25 coupon, we ordered another Shock Top beer that I told the waitress we were going to split. She ended up bringing back another bottle without a glass. She assumed we would just dump it into the dirty Stella glass. I’m not sure if it was the bartender too concerned with chatting up the regulars that failed to provide a glass with a beer or the waitress who didn’t learn from the first beer. Either way, F– on drinks both times. Previous Unilocal reviews seem to show this place was once really good but since new owners took over a few years ago it’s on a decline. Our opinion was the atmosphere was unfriendly to diners because we had to listen to the loud and sometimes offensive conversations from the bar area which is in the middle of the room. The food is over priced and way below average since it wasn’t cooked to the proper temperature and portions inedible. There seems to be a real lack of focus on the customer and zero passion. To those that still decide to give this place a chance — good luck, I wish you a better dinner than we received. Cheers.

After wanting to eat here for years I finally went. .. and will never go back. The service was terrible. .. had to ask two different waiters two times to ask our waiter to come back for several problems.. . as she never seemed to be around. Received our salad quite fast but it took ½ hour after that to receive our food that was not very warm. Saw our drinks sitting on the bar for over 5 minutes before they were delivered. If it was busy I would understand but the place was not even half full. Food is just ok — not seasoned. Had the prime rib and very bland. .. seasoned vegetable was one broccoli spear and 2 slices of carrots. Salad consisted of lettuce and lettuce(one slice of cucumber and cherry tomato). Never was asked if we even wanted dessert. Glad I had a coupon I had to use to save on this poor excuse of a bad experience.

Good food and great service. I highly recommend the artichoke crab dip. It was delicious. I was not a fan of the sauce on the roasted duck. The live music is always fun. & don’t leave without making a S’more on the fire outside.

Has been our favorite go to place for many years. They had great food but last two times we went the steaks were horrible. Gave a 2nd chance because I love steak. Now our go to is Tavern In The Hills Well, we gave it another try. Very very busy. 4 of us and the food was excellent. Had the coconut shrimp. Yum. The service was horrible. I hate a long wait to get our first drink. But I’m sure we will be back.

We have been coming here for years. Ever since the ownership changed the food and service have been declining. My husband and I would come here on dates all the time when we were younger so its sentimental. The last two times we have visited have been below average. We came here last night and were happy to see the restaurant not slammed, in fact there were only a few people at the bar and two other tables. So we were thinking we might get great service. We ordered an appetizer and that came out quick and then ordered our meals. I asked for my daughters meal to come first because she was getting a little testy. It came about ten minutes later and when I cut into the chicken it was pink! Not the end of the world but still not acceptable. Our server was accommodating and brought a new order. By the time my daughters meal was ready again we got our salads. For how slow it was the service was incredibly slow. I ordered the Diablo pasta which was cold in some parts but warm in others. I didn’t say anything because I just didn’t care at that point. Everyone else’s meal were just on. The rubs used to be much better. Overall, the food is just ok and the service is slow.

For such a beautiful venue, the food is just ok. I have never sent food back until I ate here. All of our baked potatoes were barely warm and hard. Makes me wonder when they were cooked, the day before? We ordered 3 dishes of vanilla ice cream and all 3 had something in them that did not belong in them. We don’t know what it was. Something cakey and disgusting. I did not think the rotisserie chicken was anything special. It was moist but lacked in flavor. The meat fell off the ribs but the BBQ sauce did not cover the ribs. I love baked beans but these had too much of a bell pepper taste. The hostess seemed irritated that we asked to sit by the fireplace. It was cold in there! I gave 3 stars for the pretty atmosphere and the price was reasonable.

We loved the warm and cozy feel of the lodge. I read some mixed reviews and we really had a great dinner on a Friday night. We were told the wait was 20 minutes and were seated in less than 10 minutes in a very clean nice booth. I liked the country but not overly country décor. The best part of dinner was the really good warm bread they brought us… I could eat that every day! We split a shrimp app and everyone liked it. My father had a veal dish with boodles and I had the rotisserie pork with mashed potatoes(really good) and veggies… I loved it, and didn’t even need a knife for the pork but the stuffing it came with not so much. My mother liked the lasagna ok, she said it was fine but wished she had ordered something else. We both think it was made with cottage cheese. The cutest part was the smores station when you leave… I don’t think I have had one in ten years and it was so good and gooey! Dinner was a great deal, with our coupon really made it worth it. I cant wait to go back!

Great food, my mom got married there and the wait staff was great. However the last couple times we went there the waiter took forever(over 20 minutes) to come back and take our order. Other than that the food is AMAZING. Love the rib eye.

We took the motorcycles out for an afternoon ride and stopped in for drinks & appetizers today. This place is pretty cool. Walking in there are two fire pits on either side of the entrance and yes, you can roast s’mores! The restaurant is really cool inside. Very lodge/wood/cabin looking… But it’s not cheesy or campy. It’s tasteful and really nice. Nothing was dirty or needed attention. I’m Not sure what some of these other Unilocalers were seeing. But maybe those concerns have been addressed. We sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice, helpful and attentive. She brought us out some incredibly tasty and right out of the oven fresh baked bread and our drinks. I got one of their signature cocktails, the Lodge Punch. It was a little sweeter than I expected but that was my tastebuds, not the drink. CJ had a Guinness b For appetizers, we ordered the mozzarella logs and bruschetta. The logs were good, melted on the inside and the marinara sauce had a nice flavor. The bruschetta was decent… But needed something. I gave it a dash of salt and pepper and that seemed to help. It was decent though. Just not amazing. On the way out, we make a s’more! All around, it was a nice stop, I’m glad we did and we will go back for a full dinner.

Whats going on with our favorite local restaurant? Loaded potato soup is watered down potato broth filled with Ruffle brand potato chips. Cold chicken dumpling soup watered down. The wedge salad made us think that we may be on a hidden camera show. An entire head of iceberg split into quarters with a cup of dressing in the middle. Dinner was just hilarious at this point, couldnt even be angry. The filthy bathrooms were the icing on the cake. We’re guessing they’re closing the doors soon.

I had a very good dinner tonight. I had the rotisserie pork, which was excellent. The side dishes, not so much. The loaded baked potato was barely warm, you know, where the shredded cheese on top doesn’t melt. I also disliked the cole slaw, but that’s a personal kind of preference. The waitress, a young, cute blond was excellent and attentive. My wife had the southwestern salad that she enjoyed. A little more attention to detail would have gotten 5 stars, but I will be back.

First time visit, went at 6PM to beat the crowd. We took our two Grandaughters age 4 and 6. Relaxing atmosphere, bar area with plenty of TV’s, dinning area as well as outside dining. Menu was camplete and our food was gpod. Kids menu has plenty of selections. Service and price very good. Bonus is the 2 make your own Smores on the way out.

Would return for a relaxing dinner, but it’s not winning a James Beard award any time soon. We had passed by The Lodge a few times and always thought it looked awesome. It’s a bit off the busier roads in the area but the drive and area is nice. The wife and I shared the baked goat cheese and roasted garlic which was really good!(if you like goat cheese) I had the rotisserie chicken and shrimp with sweet potato fries, and the mac n’ cheese. The chicken was great, everything else was just average. Wife had the Cobb salad which fell in line with the rest as good. The place had a good atmosphere, service was great, food is/was good and fairly priced. They have a nice outdoor seating area, larger lot, and complimentary s’mores on your way out with two large fire pits out front. A nice slower paced place with comfort type American traditional food.

I don’t like giving negative reviews, but this was our second time here and our second bad experience! I made reservations knowing a Friday night would be busy. We had to wait about 10 mins for a table and then got sat outside which would have been nice if it wasn’t so buggy. Seriously 3 mosquito bites in 30 mins, that I’ve found so far! We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and it took 16 mins to get it(mozzarella sticks seemed homemade, not bad, the marinara sauce was bland though). In the meantime we noticed other tables had bread, silverware, napkins, plates etc, all of which we did not! When they came by to fill our water, we asked to be moved inside and the host was very accommodating. So kudos to him! We thought the experience was looking up… But then, the waiter came by to let us know he had JUST put in our food order. So there we sat waiting for our food which took from the time we ordered it to the time it came to our table 45 mins! I ordered the bbq pork sandwich(because the last time we are here I ordered a steak rare and it came to the table well done and inedible) and my husband ordered the steak sandwich. The pork sandwich was subpar, I’ve had better at a baseball game! The steak sandwich did not come with any«special sauce» as it stated on the menu, and only enough lettuce and tomato to cove half of it. The fries were soggy and gross. KFC has better coleslaw. We had somewhere to be so by the time the food came we were ready to go and got boxes figuring we could take the food with us, and it wasn’t even worth bringing home! It is a waste of time and money! Do not bother eating here!

I had passed by The Lodge in Wasco a couple of times and always noticed how packed their parking lot was. I figured, with that much business, the place had to be good! I finally visited with a friend, and the Lodge did not disappoint. On a busy weekend, you can probably expect to wait to be seated for a little while, and I love the s’mores set-up right by the front door. There’s a fire pit outside and patrons can get their s’mores and enjoy them outside. I thought this was a great idea and I loved it. You can either enjoy your s’more while you wait, or after dinner. It was hard for me to decide what to order, but I settled on the Stuffed Shrimp Garlic Linguine. While it didn’t earn me any weight-loss points, it sure was good! They have a Fish Fry every Friday and I’d love to go back for that.

I REALLY enjoyed this place!!! My friend made a reservation for 5:30pm on a Saturday just in case. When she called she was told that it was a good idea to make a reservation… around the time we left, the place was packed so definitely make a reservation before going! We sat in the bar area, which is very cozy — fireplace and all… The service was great, and so was the food. It was very hard to choose with so many awesome looking options on the menu but we both decided on rotisserie white meat chicken. It came with soup or salad and two sides. We also got warm bread and butter. I opted for the baked potato soup which had large chunks of potato, and topped with a few potato chips. SO good! For sides I had the vegetable of the day which was green beans and a baked sweet potato which came with butter and brown sugar… also very tasty served like that. There was plenty of food to bring home some for another meal. For dessert we opted for the carrot cake. I was very pleased with everything here and I’d definitely visit again. I LOVE the fire pits outside with the s’mores…I was stuffed full so I didn’t partake in them, but I definitely will next time!

We’ve been here several times. Tonight we got a late start and got there whenever everyone else did and the wait was long. They just didn’t seem to have the wait right because people that were there after us were seated before us. Minor complaint but we were hungry Waitstaff is always attentive. Wait for food is always reasonable enough when they are slammed like they were tonight. I ordered chicken Montana sandwich which is very good. My wife and daughter ordered fried shrimp which neither of them liked. Burgers are good as are the fries. Skip the Mac n cheese. Ribs seem to be popular here. I like the lasagna too. The fire pits outside where you can make s’mores is a nice touch and give the place a rustic atmosphere. If you are in Algonquin a place called Nikkos is owned by the same family and while they have different atmosphere, the food Is about the same quality.

Cafeteria food at its best. Coupon or not, don’t waste your time. The ribs were overcooked, the BBQ chicken was not very tender and the sauce tasted like ketchup. The side dishes were watery and oversalted. The only thing that tasted OK was the mozzarella sticks, which we had to wait 20 min for… because the waitress serving the table next to us took our order from the kitchen. Our waitress spilled out beer all over the floor and didn’t bother cleaning it up… And looking around, it didn’t appear that much else was very clean, so we assumed this must be acceptable to the owner/mgmt. Gross. This place is well on its way back to the nasty days of the old Silverado Grill that used to be here. We miss the first Nikko’s Lodge… They truly had cared about quality and cleanliness.

This restaurant is lovely from the outside and when u enter but upon closer inspection it felt kind of dingy and uncared for. We had been wanting to try it for many years and tonight was the night. We were late for dinner and some things were not available. They had a bourbon pork chop on the menu that looked awesome. I ordered the pork chop dinner with a salad, vegetable and garlic mashed. Hubs ordered a half slab with mac and cheese and rice. We both ordered draft beer with dinner(of course!). Since it was our first time, I asked the waitress for some suggestions. Not very forthcoming. So we did not order an appetizer. Our salads when the arrived were fine except for the water on the bottom of the salad bowl. Did not do great things for the thin salad dressing that was provided. I really liked my pork chop dinner but they were tough. I had a very hard time cutting thru the meat. I was thinking to myself, this fork is really hurting my hand as I am trying to cut this pork chop. Am I a weakling?! Is this knife dull?! It was a beautiful presentation though and the taste was good. My husband thinks this place was formerly Nikos Lodge but I do not think so. What really stood out for me was the disgustingly dirty carpet that everyone was walking on… Why doesnt everyone see it?! Why doesnt the staff just swiff it? We sat in the dining room so I cannot comment on the bar. Also, our waitress never came to refill out water. So we spent $ 40 or so… Not sure we will return. The S’mores at the front entrance are a lovely touch and a great idea.
