We stopped in here after a full day hiking around the Apostle Islands. We were famished and really needed to fill up. All of us were craving pizza, so we were thrilled to pass Hugo’s on our way home. This place has some awesome pizza! We were seated quickly, our server was attentive and friendly, and the pizza was delicious. The prices are decent and the pizza is huge. We were all extremely happy with our meal. My only regret is that I don’t live near by to make this my regular pizza joint.

Decent pizzas but prices are consistently different by a few dollars every time. Have had some burnt crusts. And have had some stale chips on the taco pizza.

Had Dinner once, came back for Breakfast and lunch. Tasty food. Gives you the homemade feel. Friendly and helpful Staff. Cozy place to hangout with friends or family. Try the freshly baked Pizzas here, they are really good. Tried couple of other dishes and everything tasted perfect. Free WiFi.

We have eaten here about 4 times in the last 3 years and the service is very slow with poor follow-up. The food is always slow and the waitress service is awful. Yesterday, we decided to try their pizza buffet and the waitress took our beverage order then served our soft drinks. She never came back to our table to offer refills or find out if there was anything else we needed. So I had to look for her to pay our bill. We will not eat at Hugo’s again!

The food is always great, huge portions at modest prices. Service is slow sometimes but worth the wait. A true«Northwoods» feel in a log cabin restaurant.

Delicious pizza! We always look forward to garlic cheese bread and pizza when we are in town! The pizza sauce has just a little spice! The Doane beer is a treat, too!

I’m from the area, and this is one of my favorites when I come home to visit. Get a Chicago style with extra sauce. The space is nothing special; I would take the pizza to go and go sit by the lake. Enjoy!

A small town with the local restaurant with all the regulars. We had breakfast, the basic with really good not homemade toast. I liked it and it has a good variety of other options. Coffee was on the weak side. The next day for lunch we got a pizza. Thin crust in squares, I can’t catch a break. Unlike Emily I love greasy, it had just enough and I loved the flavor and sauce. It’s a good thing we got there when we did, just around noon on Sunday. The place really started filling up and there was only one waitress. It’s larger than it looks with parking on both sides of the building, with the log cabin setting. I’ll make it a point to stop here on my up north visits to Wisconsin.

Super friendly service in a log-cabin diner/pizzeria that seems to be fairly popular with the locals looking for take-out pizza. The reuben on marbled rye was typically delicious diner fare and the veggie wrap was surprisingly fantastic, STUFFED with lightly sauteed fresh veggies. It was huge! Next time we’re looking forward to taking their breakfast menu for a spin.

Pretty decent food and pizza. A bit on the greasy side, but they aren’t any other options for good pizza in Washburn anyways. So they do a good business. You can get sit down food, take out, and delivery. The food is good, I’d stick with the pizza. good, not great, but good!

Sometimes the pizza is great, other times not so great. They need to be more consistent. Have had the hot beef sandwich and very skimpy on potatoes. Leave the restaurant and still hungry afterwards.
