Bartender seemed a bit dry and not eager to take care of us. $ 14 martini is a bit much and a bit weak.

I had been wanted to try 15 Ria for a while, and left very unimpressed. While the outdoor patio seemed like a good idea in the evening, we were eaten alive by mosquitos. They did not have any lamps or bug spray to prevent this problem so we had to walk to the store and grab some bug spray after ordering(which only helped a little). The host was very friendly and helpful and immediately provided a water dish for our puppy(yes — outside is pet-friendly). He was attentive and turned the music down so that we could be heard better during our dinner. The furniture outside seemed a bit worn, the tables were dirty despite few people being there, and there was not much of a view(a lot of traffic). Our waiter might have been new as he did not know a lot of the meals and what was in them, could not tell us what beers on tap, and did not know what was in the specials. Additionally, it took over 25 minutes and talking to 3 different staff members to get our check. We ordered the mussels, parmesan fries, spicy chicken fettuccini and Caesar salad with shrimp. The mussels came in a tiny bowl which made it difficult to soak up the broth(the best part, although nothing worth returning for). The parmesan fries were tasty, but overpriced. The chicken fettuccini was good, but pricy for the amount that you got. While the food was satisfactory, there are so many other places on nearby 14th Street that offer better meals at a similar price. While we did not come for happy hour, the happy hour menu looked great and this might be a better spot for happy hour. Just bring your bug spray if you plan to be outside.

5 stars to our host — Mr. Joseph Butler! My husband was the lucky raffle winner of the complimentary happy hour + appetizers for 20 guests from the Unilocal event. After a few email exchanges, date was picked and event was set. Our guests and I were more than impressed by the organization and generosity of 15 Ria. Appetizer station was set up when we arrived. Drink wrist bands were in hand ready for us. We even had a whole section of the restaurant reserved for my group with tables put together and signs placed. No requests needed. Appetizer station — not only was it beautifully set up, the food was beyond delicious — juicy gourmet cheeseburger sliders, crispy cheesy empanadas, and perfectly breaded shrimp tempura — our guests were trickling in but I couldn’t help but went back to serve myself second. and third. Just as I begin to worry that we were running low on appetizers, Mr. Butler came to the rescue with platters of munchies to replenish the station. Again, no requests needed, no questions asked. Right before our complimentary hour was up, Mr. Butler made his way and approached each of us to ask for last round of drinks. I’ve honestly never received such attentive and generous service from happy hours/group events before. Look no further! Hosting happy hours? group event? you are in for a treat at 15 Ria!
