Came here totally by chance… Serendipity at it’s finest!!! We were welcomed into a very friendly place with a great vibe!!! Very relaxed, neighborhood feeling. My friend and I both ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger. She had onion rings and I had the fries, plain, unseasoned. The fries were SO good!!! I didn’t have to add salt, they were perfect!!! Not that the onion rings weren’t good… they were!!! The burgers were wonderful!!! Perfectly shaped. Thick and round and juicy!!! Everyone there is SONICE!!! They are On Point!!! During the meal I told my friend Tanya that I can’t wait to let the Unilocal People know about this Great Place!!! Side Note: I don’t drink. Just never acquired a taste for it… BUT!!! The Bartender, Demetrius!!! He crafted a cocktail that was sweet with whipped cream and it was LOVELY!!! I couldn’t taste ANY bitter alcohol ATALL!!! He is AMAZING!!! Thank you Demetrius for this!!! Peoples, Go here!!! I’m planning on returning SOON and I liver in upper Montgomery County!!!

This place is super chill in the heart of H St. Their wine selection was non-existent, but I was able to enjoy a wide range of Happy Hour(HH) specials at $ 4−5/each! If you’re looking for an awesome sports bar, locally owned with great drink specials, this is your spot!

My buddies and I were looking for a place to watch the AFC Divisional playoffs, so I thought it’d be a good chance to try the neighborhood sports bar I pass every day on my way to and from work. Though it’s not really affiliated with any particular sports team, I was encouraged to see that they had a Steelers banner on the door frame and a pennant above the bar. So, naturally, this place was already sending good vibes. Honestly, these sub-4 star reviews don’t make any sense to me because they describe an experience that my friends and I didn’t have. To be clear: this is a neighborhood sports bar. It’s got cheap, domestic beer. Its staff and owner, from what I surmised, are local. It’s a a hangout spot. This isn’t someplace you go to have a quiet, quick, overpriced meal. You sit, you watch a game, you take your time, you laugh, you overstay your welcome, and you enjoy an afternoon. I had all intentions of trying more than just the wings. But they were so good that we just kept ordering them. Seriously. These may be the best wings in DC, and they’re DEFINITELY the best of any locally-owned spot. We had the buffalo, but I heard other people say they heard angels singing when they tried the BBQ. The staff is amazing. I think we met them all at some point or another as they cycled past our spot at the bar over the course of 4 hours. Jeremiah(«J»), Daeja(sp), and Kristin are great. Smiley, affable, and fun. They don’t strike me as the bartenders and waitstaff you experience at other places in DC. I like that they take their time, aren’t running everywhere all the time, and do more than just sling a beer in front of you before walking away for 20 minutes. Carl(sp), the owner, is also an incredibly friendly guy that chatted with us for a bit. He told me that he wants everyone to feel like«Norm» when they walk in, and I really dig that. I’d love to see this bar do well, but, selfishly, I don’t want the secret to get out. I loved the atmosphere of a mildly crowded place without having to deal with the drunk, overly aggressive frat crowd from other places in DC. Meeting the staff here, though, I don’t think they’d let that happen. We’ll definitely be back, and I think that after almost a decade in DC, I may have found the bar at which I want to be a regular.

Been here the past few weeks to watch the nfl games. The staff is really cool with putting your game on one of the 10 tv’s. The smoked wings are prob the best wings on H –street. Started with plain, but fell in love with the BBQ. A must Beer selection is week, typical American selection. Mixed drinks are decent for the area, nothing spectacular but the basics. They seem to have a high rotation of staff however Daeja(sp) the bartender is great, really chill and takes care of her customers. My go to neighborhood bar for sports & wings.

I wanted to take my time with this review, because I’ve had several different experiences here. After an endless stream of concept restaurants and chic lounges on H St., this sports bar is a warm welcome for anyone who wants to chill out and watch the game. It’s a relaxed environment, and has a bunch(probably like six — eight) big flat screens) for your sports viewing pleasure. It’s not affiliated with any one sport or team(for the moment), but do expect big crowds for all of the Skins and Cowboys games. The owner is the nicest guy, who opened the restaurant to serve as an extension of his«man cave». He has an impressive array of sports memorabilia(jerseys, etc.), and welcomes all different sports fans(assuming your game doesn’t conflict with the Skins or the Cowboys). I’ve watched a Skins game here(it was PACKED), as well as several Vikings games, as the Minnesota crowd has started to make it their place for cheering on their home team. The food has been more awesome than not. The wings are incredible. They smoke them in-house, and if the smoker is on when you go in there, it’s difficult NOT to order wings. I like the buffalo, but the BBQ is great, too(though there was a bit too much sauce for my friend’s taste). I could also eat the spinach and artichoke dip all day, every day, but I’m pretty sure it’s almost entirely homemade, and almost entirely heavy cream(yaaaaassss). Our server gave us a heads-up that it takes a while, but it was absolutely worth it(both for the flavor, and also to know it wasn’t just frozen and reheated). I’ve also had the smoked turkey sandwich and the chicken club(with seasoned fries, of course), and both were great. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the bread reminds me of back in the day when Taylor got their rolls fresh from Philly. I realize this all sounds like the most glowing review– and there are certainly weird things. The prices are a little bit high, but if you ask about specials, they usually have a $ 3 beer special. Sometimes it’s Miller Lite, last night it was MGD. Make sure you ask, because otherwise, I think beers are $ 5. I’ve also been told that the burger wasn’t great, though I can’t vouch for that myself. Lastly, the service is, well, spotty. But the folks who work there are awesome and genuinely kind and attentive. It reminds me a lot of the family-owned place I worked at when I was in college. Good people, good food, good beer, good game(assuming your team doesn’t blow it). If you’re looking for a place to eat yummy bar food(that sometimes takes a bit longer than you might want it to, but when it comes out, it’s awesome), delicious, home-smoked wings, drink beers and hang out, this is your jam. It’s a welcome change from the recent additions to H St., and I’m excited to watch new sports there(DC United? Caps? Who knows!) when football season is over.

My husband and I have been thinking of coming here to catch a game and a bite to eat for quite some time. We walk in here around 10:45am this morning hoping to grab some brunch, and there was a group of 5 in front of us talking to the server. Another man appears, I think he was the chef, and the server says to him«hey are we open?» He replies«no.» So the group in front of us turns around to walk out. I then speak up and say«Ok, what time will you open?» The server says«Uh, I don’t know, maybe like 25 – 30 minutes, I just got here.» So weird! You don’t have a definitive time your restaurant opens???

So heres my review. I am a fan of this place and have been a number of times for the past 3 weeks. Pros: For a sports fan, this is the bar in the area that you want to go to. There are 6 TVs behind the bar that can be individually tuned. On the other side there’s 4 more TVs that can also be individually tuned. Lights are always bright and the menu is simple bar food. Bring a small group and watch any game you want. There hasnt been a channel that they dont have Cons: The beer /Drink selection is weak. They have the go tos(Heineken, coors etc) but nothing special. Normal vodkas, normal rums seriously nothing special. The place is relativley new so there arent too many people there during the week so it can be kinda dead if you dont bring your own party but that could change in the summer. Overall its currently my favorite dive bar that isnt a dive bar. I feel once more people learn about it it will become the go to spot. I cant think of a better spot to watch a game within a mile radius. Seriously who needs redzone when this place has every game on thanks to sunday ticket. Food is basic and drinks are basic but overall i enjoy being there when i go.

They only have one beer on tap, and the waiter is very slow mentally. Atmosphere is cool. They play deep house music, which I think is cool. Haven’t tried the food yet so it’s quality is anyone’s guess.

I dig it. Feels very local. Great people. Nice atmosphere for games. The smoked wings are amazing. I mean, amazing. And there is bacon on my side salad — heck yeah. Oh yeah — and $ 3MGD. Do it.

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 5 or 6 years now and have been screaming at the top of my lungs that I wished it had a sports bar. Lots of TVs? Check. Decent to good bar food? Check. Cheap beers and a couple of decent beers? Check. TVs with sports on the TVs and the sound on of one of the games? Check. If you are looking for a place to go and watch a game with other sports fans and have a couple of beers and decent food this is the place for you. I urge everyone to give it a try and hopefully it’s a mainstay of the neighborhood for years to come.

This place is awful. Service is super slow. Bar tender doesn’t know how to multi-task so she takes forever to do anything. We waited for over a half hour for them to make breakfast and there was only 3 other people in the bar. Not sure why the service is so slow. I give this place a year before it closes its doors.

I went here once and it wasn’t great, I thought maybe it was just a bad day so I gave it another shot. Just ate here again and my opinion is solidified. Crappy service and my food was cold. The server couldn’t even tell me what came with my food… I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Try big board or Granville moores for a burger instead.

Less than average service; room temp wings, and music louder than the NFL game. For the amount of tvs in this place, you’d think Thursday Night Football would take precedence. Nope.

My first and only experience here made me feel like I was on an episode of Bar Rescue. This bar tries to present itself as a sports bar but it really is not. When entering in the front door, you’ll immediately notice that it is quiet. And i mean, QUIET. There is no surround sound for any of the TVs and the volume on the one TV is down pretty low. You have to whisper to the people next to you unless you want others to eavesdrop on your conversations. I am also not 100% positive if they actually have HVAC or not. It was hot and all the fans were going. It would make sense that they dont have HVAC because, again, it was insanely quiet to the extent where you could not even hear the white noise that Heating/AC produces. I came on the opening Saturday of college football. The bar had a decent amount of people in it but the only sound was for the tennis match(?) and the drink specials were for Apple Martinis(not beer and zero food specials). Natty Bohs were also one of the most expensive beers on the menu at $ 7 which is utterly mind blowing. The service was an experience in and of itself. Multiple bartenders tried to take our drink order. When we tried to close out, only the person who opened your tab could close you out(she was m.i.a. for a little while so we had to wait to close) and they ran out of pens. Seriously, what bar runs out of pens? I didn’t have any food but the experience as a whole was enough to lose my business forever.

Definitely a few hiccups with service but an overall solid place to watch a game and have a few beers. While the food isn’t anything to write home about, there’s a ton of value here and it’s totally acceptable for a sports bar. Beers are in the $ 4 – 5 range, which is cheap for the neighborhood. Not every place needs to be craft beer/cocktail blah blah blah and this establishment fills a gap in the neighborhood for a straightforward, accessible, and welcoming bar. The owner and staff are really friendly and want you to have a good time. For that reason alone I like it and I’ll be back.

Overpriced, Underserved, Poor Quality Food. Come to this bar if you like bud light lime, pre-made Costco undercooked burgers, and other overpriced deep fried, off-the-shelf food. The food was really bad. After waiting a 45 minutes in a mostly empty bar we received some $ 15 dollar burgers that were completely underwhelming. Also no local DC beers we on tap. I live very close to this place. I was excited to have a low key neighborhood bar nearby. Unfortunately this bar is trying to offer lower than hole-in-the-wall quality food/beer options with very high prices.

A bit of a let down. Was hoping for a great local sports bar, but this isn’t it. Nice TVs but food and beer is pricey. $ 6 for a Miller or Yuengling drafts won’t cut it for a football Sunday.

This is a nice new place. With all of the«fancy food» around here, it is nice to see a menu with words I can pronounce AND they have regular olé breakfast! My hubby had a short stack with eggs, hash browns, and bacon. I had a chose your own omelet that came with hash browns and both came with a warm croissant. The only thing better would have been biscuits and gravy. Food was wonderful. Service was a little slow, but she was very nice. Would def go back. Heard them say they will have alcohol next week.

This place soft opened this morning. Turns out my wife and I were their first customers! Wife got an omelet. I got hotcakes and a side of hashbrowns(see pic). Wife said the omelet was nice because it was light and tasty. We both agreed my hotcakes were delicious. Staff was very friends and we got to meet the owner Leslie Defour. They are in soft opening so only open until 5 weekdays and 3 on weekends and aren’t serving alcohol yet but will soon. Oh… and they have a pump/pour your own coffee to go so it is a very quick coffee stop. Wife said the coffee was definitely good! Haven’t had lunch yet but Leslie said they have a smoker and they are doing smoked chicken wings. Oh… they are also equal opportunity regarding sports team. They are definitely locally focused but welcome all fans!
