This 7 Eleven has saved me on more than one occasion, stumbling home late at night from Georgetown to my place in Dupont. My first time, it was the day-old donuts that saved the day. My friend led me in there and we walked out with a can of pringles and some bear claws. It says the old donuts are a dollar«O» nine, but the bear claws are 50 cents extra. I seem to remember the Ethiopian fellow at the cashier as being very friendly… The next time was a week later, on my way to a society event in Georgetown. I had forgotten to eat, that day, and was about to begin drinking heavily. The Ethiopian man remembered me! This is a true neighborhood store. Unfortunately there is no healthy food here, so don’t come looking for a meal… I had to settle for the mixed nuts, which set me back $ 2.49, for only six ounces(at Trader Joe’s you get about a pound for this price). I guarantee you that this is the most charming 7 Eleven in all of DC. Just remember to avoid the spicy bite. Would be five stars if not for the unhealthy food selection.
